Welcome to the dynasty trading post, where optimizing strategy, roster construction, format, and player value oscillations are examined weekly in example and completed dynasty trades.
This week, we'll focus on adding a couple of low-cost veterans to our Dynasty rosters.

Jonathan Taylor, Indianapolis Colts
Theme of the Week: Explore buy and sell markets
Taylor has been the most traded player in dynasty circles for multiple weeks, and for good reason. Whether a dynasty GM has Taylor or not, exploring the buy and sell angles in every league is worthwhile. Taylor is mid-career and a strong profile buy in the macro. One must be tolerant of the risk he misses more than the next month in 2023, but the long-term outlook as a profile, whether with the Colts or elsewhere, is solid. On the flip side, if Taylor holds RB2/3/4 overall value in your league, there is plenty of liquidity to use Taylor to shift to quarterback in Superflex or wide receiver or a stud tight end in applicable formats.
Here are a few key Taylor trades with him as a buy valuation and recommendation:
- Taylor for Diontae Johnson, Mike Evans
- Taylor for Cooper Kupp
- Taylor, 24 2nd for Ty Chandler, 24 1st
- Taylor for Cam Akers, Sam Laporta, 25 1st
All of the above are affordable profile buys of Taylor, especially using Cooper Kupp and the older wide receiver combination of Johnson and Evans. Even as a veteran wide receiver aficionado, I would recommend getting younger and more insulated by moving Johnson and Evans.
