Quarterback
Gardner Minshew, Philadelphia (vs New Orleans)
Jalen Hurts has been seen at practice this week, so Minshew may not get another start, but if he does, chances are, he should be in your lineup. Even the turnovers charged to him last week were mostly not his fault, and the Eagles still very much have a lot to play for, with the #1 seed still up for grabs. The Eagles even used the patented goal line bulldozer play with Minshew that has accounted for so many Hurts scores this year.
Teddy Bridgewater, Miami (at New England)
Bridgewater isn’t as attractive as a play as Tua Tagovailoa would have been. The Patriots actually contained the Dolphins' pass offense in Week 1 and concealed what a massive season they would have, but we’ve seen Bridgewater be very productive in short stints with Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, making him a safe play and one with upside in leagues with long touchdown or 300-yard game bonuses.
Brock Purdy, San Francisco (at Las Vegas)
Purdy isn’t going to finish in the top five this week, and his upside was lowered a bit when the Raiders decided to bench Derek Carr and made the team less likely to be competitive and force the 49ers to put up a lot of points, but Purdy has posted multiple scores in every game he has started, and the Raiders aren’t going to put up much resistance.
Carson Wentz, Washington (vs Cleveland)
Wentz is a boom/bust play, but know that the booms were there earlier this year before he got hurt. Washington has a terrific wide receiver trio, and they are pushing for a playoff berth, so the motivation and talent will be there for them to post a big game against the Browns, who have been suspect on defense at times this season.
