Welcome to Week 14 of the 2022 Footballguys Roundtable. Our intrepid panel of fantasy pundits discusses and debates four topics every week. Topics are now split into separate features.
This week's roundtable features these four topics:

- Fantasy Playoff Heroes And Zeros
- Demise Is Greatly Exaggerated
- 2022's Most Shocking Developments
Fantasy Fill in the Blank
Matt Waldman: Pick one of the following statements, put a player in the blank, and explain your answer.
- "_______ _________ is the most frustrating player to watch."
- "I wish I could know what it's like to (name a skill that is specific to his position) like _______."
- "Although I rarely operate on definitive statements with fantasy football, I will never draft __________."
- "I hate _____ but if he joined my favorite team, I would love him."
Go.
Jordan McNamara: I wish I could know what it's like to have ankle flexibility like Trevor Lawrence.
I saw the Trevor Lawrence ankle injury once and cringed in horror at what looked like a season-ending injury. The fact his leg did not break is astonishing to me. The fact he could actually return to the game makes me wonder if he is bionic. As someone who has been nagged by injuries, I'd love to have that flexibility.
Waldman: I wish we could see what Lawrence looked like trying to climb out of bed that morning after. I'm not sure you'd want to experience that. Though I get where you're coming from. For many years, I thought Matt Ryan was Gumby.
McNamara: Ha! Probably not.
Gary Davenport: Although I rarely operate on definitive statements with fantasy football, I will never draft Derwin James.
To be clear, James is a great player. He's on track to finish as the highest-scoring defensive back for the second straight season. But I don't pay retail for defensive backs. Ever. There are just too many upside options available late. Too many guys I can get at a discount. Too many intriguing dart throws. As great as James is, the pick required to land him is better spent at linebacker or on the defensive line.
Waldman: Me neither, Gary.
Sam Wagman: Gabe Davis is the most frustrating player to watch.
It's easy to love the reasons on paper for Davis. He's playing on one of the best passing offenses in football, he has shown some solid route-running abilities since he was drafted, and he has a penchant for making long catches downfield look simple.
