The key to success in Week 12 will be staying on top of the late-breaking injury news and making last minute adjustments to expectations on Sunday morning. The injury news is especially impactful at running back. Joe Mixon was announced out on Friday afternoon, opening the door for Samaje Perine to start and provide us a strong value option. Perine would get a boost as a pass catcher if JaMarr Chase is unable to go. Leonard Fournette has been extremely limited in practice this week with a hip injury and is doubtful for Sunday. Rachaad White had 22 carries last week and should be in line for a huge workload if Fournette is out. Jeff Wilson should lead the Miami backfield in a plum matchup against the Texans no matter what. However, he would get a definite boost in projections and likely see a half dozen more touches if Raheem Mostert is out. In addition to these two key situations, we are also keeping our eyes on running back availability reports in a few other spots, as well.
There are also some key wide receiver situations where we are waiting for more news, especially Arizona. With Rondale Moore out, Greg Dortch would be a strong value option if he is healthy but that situation remains murky due to his thumb injury. There is also still some health-related uncertainty surrounding the Bengals (JaMarr Chase) that could heavily impact the slate. Both Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd would see a boost in targets if Chase is unable to go.
