Key Injuries:
- Trace McSorley will start for Arizona this week as both Kyler Murray and Colt McCoy are both injured. McSorley has yet to show an ability to throw the ball at an NFL level as he is completing just 46% of his career passes. This is likely a complete stay away this week.
- Baker Mayfield will make his third consecutive start for the Rams this week, and while he had a tremendous comeback against the Raiders, Mayfield has mostly struggled in his time with the Rams. Last week, he threw for just 111 yards as the Rams struggled to move the ball, much like we saw prior to the comeback against the Raiders.
Slate Thoughts:
In cash games, as much as people want to play three games slates, they are always difficult due to the overlap that you’ll have with your competition. For example, on this slate, there really is only one elite player at the running back, wide receiver, or tight end position and that is Tyreek Hill, so expect a vast majority of people on both FanDuel and DraftKings to
In GPP’s the key is creating a lineup that is unique enough to avoid overlap. GPP’s are difficult enough to win, and the last thing you would want to do is build a lineup where if your roster wins, you only win a portion of the top prize because you had to split the top few spots in a GPP with other people. We’ve seen scenarios in the past where top prizes have been split by 10 or more people which while any of us would take if we finished there, from an expected value standpoint, it greatly reduces your theoretical odds of winning as your upside is then capped. So, approaching this with a mindset of leaving a few dollars on the table is something you could do, or take a player who may be a little off the radar, or even avoid some of the top rostered players this week.
