The appeal of playing dynasty fantasy football is that you never fully stop building your rosters. There is always time to make moves to either help build a contender or rebuild your struggling roster. Now that the 2022 class has come and gone, it's time to start looking ahead to the 2023 class. This season, we will provide fantasy managers with a top-36 big board that will be updated weekly to reflect the top 36 draft-eligible players in college football. The hope is that this big board will give you actual names and value to any draft pick you are trying to trade or acquire.
Standout Performances
WR Quentin Johnston (Jr – TCU): 6-foot-4, 215 lbs
Johnston had a game that he needed on a big stage. Until Saturday, Johnston saw his stock drop faster than any other prospect in the 2023 class. Until the Kansas game, he had just 12 receptions for 114 yards and no touchdowns on the year. On Saturday, he exploded for fourteen receptions for 206 yards and a touchdown. It's precisely the type of performance he needed to get his value back on track. When you watch Johnston, his athleticism pops off the tape. At 6-foot-4 and 215 pounds, he is an athletic specimen. He has excellent eye discipline and can pretty much make any catch that is thrown his way. He can do it all, whether that be a jump ball, an out-route, a crossing route, or an over-the-shoulder catch. He does a great job of adjusting his body to make a play on the ball, and he understands how to use his body to create leverage.
RB Israel Abanikanda (Jr - Pittsburgh): 5-foot-11, 215 lbs
Abanikanda has been electric this season. He has already rushed for 830 yards on just 129 attempts and scored twelve touchdowns! Last weekend against Virginia Tech, Abanikanda rushed for 320 yards and six touchdowns! He was absolutely unstoppable. He’s the type of mid-round running back that devy managers look for in drafts that can increase their fantasy value tenfold. As a runner this season, he has shown improvement in every part of his game. He’s exhibited great patience and explosion at the line of scrimmage. His body looks leaner, and it’s shown up in his speed and ability to turn the corner on defenses. His best trait as a runner has been his vision. Last season he would struggle to find open lanes or would miss holes. This season, that’s completely changed. Abanikanda has slowly become a must-watch prospect on Saturdays.
