Redraft season is upon us. Now that training camps are in full swing, we are starting to get a clearer picture of players’ roles and camp news about potential breakouts this season. As you prepare for your upcoming drafts, you must consider those late-round draft picks that can help you win your leagues. For this article, we are looking at players being drafted outside round ten that could be potential gems that could produce for your fantasy teams. Here are four players that could be those gems.
RB Rachaad White, Tampa Bay
Footballguys ADP: 11th Round RB45
If you are drafting a running back late in your fantasy drafts, you need to find a player that can either carry the workload if the starter in front of them is injured or a player who is a pass-catching back that has stand-alone PPR value. Rachaad White can be both. White is currently sitting behind Leonard Fournette, who is coming off one of the best seasons of his career, but White has been the talk of training camp. At Arizona State, he showed that he could carry a workload on the ground for the Sun Devils and was one of the best pass-catching backs in the draft catching 43 balls for 456 yards and a touchdown. His pass protection has improved throughout the off-season, and coaches have raved that he’s been a fast learner. If White continues to improve his pass protection, it’s not out of the question for him to see more 3rd down work than many analysts projected him for. White is the type of late-round target that can pay dividends in the money weeks of the fantasy football season.
RB Nyheim Hines, Indianapolis
Footballguys ADP: 11th Round RB46
Nyheim Hines was one of the biggest fantasy disappointments in 2021. Many felt he would have PPR upside, but he would post career lows in every statistical category. His 2021 season has caused his ADP to dip outside the first ten rounds, making him a great late-round target in PPR leagues. Frank Reich has been on record that they will utilize Hines all over the field this season, and camp reports can confirm this is happening in the offense. Hines has been in multiple formations with Jonathan Taylor in camp, and Matt Ryan’s reliance on his running backs out of the backfield all point to Hines being a value in leagues right now. Ryan averaged over eight targets to his running backs per game last season. Hines could be a solid flex play heading into the 2022 season, and at his current ADP, he’s well worth the risk.
