WEEK 12 PLAYS
Tom Brady Under 302.5 Passing Yards
So far, the Buccaneers have not had it all come together regarding the passing attack that is filled with talent in Antonio Brown, Chris Godwin, and Mike Evans. Since Brown joined the team, the Buccaneers are averaging just 255 passing yards per game. While they have faced some difficult matchups in New Orleans and Los Angeles, Kansas City is not an easy matchup by any means. Allowing just 229 passing yards per game, the Chiefs have been up and down so far this season as they have allowed three games with quarterbacks over 300 passing yards. The reason for this Under 302 is that you can expect Tampa Bay to try to keep the ball out of Patrick Mahomes II’ hands and keep this a slow-paced game instead of the shootout that Kansas City wants to get into.
Rashard Higgins Over 2.5 Receptions
Since Odell Beckham went down with injury, the Browns in their four games have played three games in horrendous weather with torrential downpour or 35 MPH sustained winds. While we have taken advantage of it the last few weeks with Baker Mayfield props, this week expect things to get back to normal in Cleveland. Rashard Higgins is the Browns receiver that they need to get going quickly. As we saw in the last good weather game, Higgins had 6 receptions for 110 yards. Facing a Jacksonvile team that has allowed a wide receiver to top 90 yards in six consecutive games, Higgins is in a tremendous spot this week. Even in the bad weather games, he had over 2.5 in two of those three contests without Beckham.
Michael Pittman Under 4.5 Receptions
Michael Pittman is the fantasy darling over the week on DraftKings, and with Jonathan Taylor being out, this line may move even further in favor of the over here. However, if 2020 has shown anything regarding fantasy football, it is that the industry has a bias with rookies and extrapolating big results. Players such as Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Jonathan Taylor were heavily hyped after one strong performance. Pittman is in the same boat here, he has only topped 4.5 receptions once on the season against Tennessee who Pittman is facing once again. With Mike Vrable coming from the Bill Belichick coaching philosophy, expect him to put a bigger emphasis on Pittman and forcing the Colts to beat them elsewhere.
Wayne Gallman to score a touchdown +105
The Giants have finally found a consistent running back in Wayne Gallman. Gallman has scored four touchdowns over his last three contests and all three of those being difficult matchups as they faced Washington, Philadelphia and Tampa Bay. The good news for Gallman, is that he gets to face a Brandon Allen led Bengals team that should increase the field position with no Joe Burrow or Joe Mixon, and the Bengals have allowed 1.2 rushing touchdowns per game. This is one of the top plays for a player to find the end zone once again.
Justin Jefferson More Receiving Yards than Robby Anderson
This one is a bit surprising that DraftKings has this as a pick-em as Footballguys has Jefferson projected at 90 yards while Anderson at just 75 yards, both seem about right. Jefferson, since Week 3, is second in the NFL in receiving yards per game at 97 per contest, and with no Adam Thielen, will be forced to step up even more as the amount of targets he will see should increase although the attention he will get from defenses will also increase. Anderson has been great this year, particularly with Teddy Bridgewater, but he has not topped 77 yards since Week 5 this season.
Check back each Sunday morning to see if any props are added.
