Looking to dominate your office pool this season? Eighteen Footballguys.com staff members are here to help you out. Each week they will pick the winners of every NFL game, and rank their selections based on how confident they are that the team will win. The most-confident pick gets 16 points, and the least-confident gets just 1. We'll even total up everyone's picks so you can get an overall consensus on who our staff think will be the most likely winners. Each week we'll announce the weekly winners, and track the overall record for the entire season. A couple of things to note before we get to the picks:

• Picks for this pool are straight up (no point spread considered).
• Picks are due on Wednesday nights, and will not reflect any late-breaking news. If your league allows for last-minute changes, please make adjustments to your office pool accordingly.
• Our staffers also play in weekly picks Against The Spread, and Survivor Style 'Pick one Winner each week' formats as well. Check out the other weekly articles for more help with those type of games.

RESULTS FROM LAST WEEK

So we are off to an interesting start. Last year in Week 1 we had an NFL tie and a tie in the confidence pool. This year we also started with an NFL tie and a tie in the confidence pool. In the case of an NFL tie, since this office pool has no spread, a tie means all staffers lose the confidence points for this week since no team actually won. Since the Detroit and Arizona game ended in a tie, no points were awarded for that game.

In the case of a pool tie, we go to the total points of the last Monday Night game. In that game, Oakland defeated Denver 24-16. That resulted in 40 total points scored and gave Andrew Garda the win with his spot-on correct pick of 40 total points. Garda had 12 correct picks and received 115 confidence points for his weighting of those picks. Alex Miglio had 11 correct picks, but because of his confidence weighting, he also had 115 points which forced us to go to the tie-breaker. A great start to the season. Well done!

As mentioned above, due to the tie - there were 66 total confidence points lost by the leaderboard for that game. The Cleveland loss was also big because everyone on the board picked the Browns as their winner. 117 confidence points were lost in that game as well. The losses by the Bears and the Jets resulted in 173 total confidence points lost.

OVERALL RANKINGS

We will use this section to track the overall leaderboard for the season. Since this is only the first week, the results are the same.
