Defensive Line
Mike Daniels (GB) DE – Daniels had a huge game against a weak Seattle offensive line. He had 5 solos, 2 assists, 1.5 sacks and a forced fumble. Defensive end is a very top heavy position, but if you need someone in a pinch he can add value to your roster.
Deatrich Wise (NE) DE – Wise saw very limited action week one with 17 snaps but was able to produce immediately with a sack. If you are in need of a defensive lineman in a league that rewards big plays, he is a speculative add.
Linebackers
Zach Cunningham (HOU) ILB – Houston just lost Brian Cushing to a 10 game PED ban and Cunningham will be the first man up to fill his role. Look for instant production as he slides into the inside linebacker role against Cincinnati.
Nick Kwiatkoski (CHI) ILB – Kwiatkowski has been waiting for his chance and with Jerrell Freeman off to the IR he will have his opportunity to be a three-down linebacker. Proceed with caution as the Bears will likely ease him into the role, but he should be a safe play going forward.
Joe Schobert (CLE) MLB – Teams are going to build their lead and run the ball against Cleveland. If you are looking for value and a high percentage opportunity for tackles, look no further than Schobert.
Defensive Backs
Shaq Griffin (SEA) CB – Looking at a speculative grab, Griffin had 10 solos as he replaced Jeremy Lane last week. Lane will take his starting job back but it is hard to ignore that production. Look for the Seahawks to find other ways to get Griffin on the field.
Matthias Farley (IND) S – After an abysmal showing in week one, teams are going to continue to throw on the Colts. Farley had 8 solos and 2 assists starting for Clayton Geathers (PUP), and should see his fair share of work going forward.
Justin Bethel (ARI) CB – With all the attention given to Patrick Peterson, teams will likely target Bethel. Tremendous upside for tackles as he sees increased volume. If your league requires a corner, he is a great add.
