The Profit: Week 10

Michael Brown's The Profit: Week 10 Michael Brown Published 11/12/2015

In a time crunch but will add commentary later this evening. Don't worry, it will be just as riveting and HILARIOUS as always...

Let's get to the picks!

WEEK 10 PICKS

New York Jets (-2.5) vs. Buffalo
If I've learned one thing about Rex Ryan over the years, it's that he over-promises and under-delivers. Still love the guy though.
Pick: Jets

Baltimore (-6.5) vs. Jacksonville
Pretty sure the Ravens and Chargers are contractually obligated to play 3-point games every week this season.
Pick: Jaguars

Philadelphia (-6.5) vs. Miami
Not really seeing even one area where Miami has an advantage over the Eagles.
Pick: Eagles

Pittsburgh (-4.5) vs. Cleveland
The magical run of almost winning games but losing it right at the end is coming to an end. This one won't be close by the 3rd quarter.
Pick: Steelers

Carolina (-5.5) at Tennessee
Yes, the Panthers are this good. Don't be fooled by last week's Titans mirage. They still stink, Mariota or not.
Pick: Panthers

Saint Louis (-8.5) vs. Chicago
The Rams defense is not the San Diego defense, but the Bears rookie Jeremy Langford showed me enough on Monday to convince me that he's legit. The short week and the tough defense shouldn't scare you off of Chicago here, because the Rams don't exactly light it up.
Pick: Bears

Tampa Bay (-1.5) vs. Dallas
Nope, the Bucs still stink. Darren McFadden might break the all-time rushing record seeing as how the Cowboys give him like 79 touches per game. Somewhere, Danny Woodhead weeps.
Pick: Cowboys

New Orleans (-1.5) at Washington
The Saints are being all Saints-ey again, and can't figure out what the heck they are. Sounds like a real 7-9 team to me. But with Drew Brees putting up ginormous stats all over the yard, I'm not about to expect Kirk Cousins to match him or even come remotely close.
Pick: Saints

Green Bay (-11.5) vs. Detroit
An angry Aaron Rodgers, is a very dangerous Aaron Rodgers. This one is gonna be classic Lions. In exactly the way you first thought of when I said that.
Pick: Packers

Oakland (-3.5) vs. Minnesota
Feels like a field goal game either way, and I like Adrian Peterson to have his best game of the season in this one. Just don't feel like the Raiders can hang with that for 60 minutes.
Pick: Vikings

Denver (-6.5) vs. Kansas City
I call them fakers, they blow up. I finally believe in them, they lay an egg against the terrible Colts. I give up Broncos, ok? I give up.
Pick: Broncos

New England (-7.5) at New York Giants
I was on an elevator with a Patriots fan and a Giants fan yesterday. The Giants fan says, "Well Eli OWNS Brady". And the Patriots fan goes, "Oh I didn't realize they played against each other on the field". And then they talked trash from 2011 the entire rest of the ride up. And so this isn't really me writing this blurb, because I slit my wrists before we got to my floor.
Pick: Giants

Seattle (-3.5) vs. Arizona
Probably the best game of the week, this one is going a long way towards determining that NFC West. It's also the toughest game of the week to pick for me, because Arizona is a much better team but you just know Seattle will have something to say about this NFC West title before it's all said and done. Wow, what a throwaway line that was by me...
Pick: Cardinals

Cincinnati (-10.5) vs. Houston
If someone told you in the preseason that the Bengals would be undefeated at the midpoint, laying double digits against one of the league's best preseason defenses, you might not have believed it. Well, if someone told me back in August that I would spend my entire drive home on a chilly November evening flipping around the radio dial because I wanted to find either the latest song by Taylor Swift or the new one by Adele...well, that might not have been too believable either. Believe it.
Pick: Texans
