Let's get right to it.
Seattle (-7.5) vs. Green Bay
A lot of people have asked me to weigh in on the Dez Bryant catch/non-catch fiasco towards the end of last week’s game. Actually, that’s a lie. Nobody cares about my opinion. Just like nobody cares about that play anymore. And do you know why? Because it helped set up one helluva matchup THIS week! I’ve been backing Dallas this postseason, and they certainly could have given Seattle a great game. But this is the matchup that’s been in the making all season long. If Peyton Manning’s arm calf had held up last weekend, we would have gotten two glorious matchups on Championship Sunday. As it stands, this one at least should be a great one. The ridiculous defense with an offense that can be outstanding at times. The explosive offense with the defense that…dresses in the same locker room as the explosive offense! Should be a great one, and certainly a 1-score game.
Pick: Packers
New England (-6.5) vs. Indianapolis
Let’s just get one thing out of the way early on here. I’ve mentioned on more than one occasion this survivor pool that I had been in. I mentioned how my friend forgot to submit our pick on time, which knocked us out of the survivor pool with several weeks left in the season. Instead of being smart about it and dismissing it, we couldn’t help ourselves and decided to play out the season. Heading into last weekend, we WOULD HAVE BEEN one of 15 teams remaining with a chance to win $30 grand (ya know, if she had remembered to submit our pick on time). And my pick last weekend would have been? Denver! Ok, we’re in the clear now. As for THIS game, I mean come on. Andrew Luck hasn’t even played exceptionally well yet and yes the Colts are in this game, so I GUESS if he plays completely out of his mind then Indy has a shot. But what’s more likely is that New England, with their revamped defense and opportunistic offense (reminding us all a lot of their early 2000s teams) just absolutely shows no mercy. The AFC’s best chance to keep the Pats out of the Super Bowl went down in flames last week. I fully expect the Colts to follow suit.
