In this weekly DraftKings article, we will discuss some cash game stacks that should provide a high floor for your 50-50 and H2H cash game contests. These stacks are safe to use in your GPP tournaments as well, but they will most likely carry a high ownership percentage. In the second half of this article, we will review some lower-owned GPP stacks along with a defensive stack.
*This article focuses on stacks from DraftKings main slate and does not include Thursday Night Football, Sunday Night Football, or Monday Night Football. With six teams on a bye this week, DraftKings main slate is reduced to only ten NFL games. This will create more overlap with your most popular players as compared to most main slates.
$$ Cash GAME STACKS $$
Dallas Cowboys versus Kansas City Chiefs
QB Dak Prescott $6,700 with WR Dez Bryant $6,400 (Cash/GPP)
Alternative/Super Stacks: RB Ezekiel Elliott $9,000 (Cash/GPP) and/or TE Jason Witten $4,600 (Cash/GPP)
Correlation Play: WR Tyreek Hill $6,700 (GPP Only)
The Cowboys/Chiefs game is projected to be loaded with fantasy points as it carries the highest game total of the week (51.5 points). Excluding last week, Dak Prescott has been phenomenal this season with five multiple-touchdown performances. Dez Bryant should have first 100-yard game of the year against the vulnerable Chiefs secondary, which has allowed the fifth-most passing yards per game and the most touchdowns (13) to wide receivers thus far.
GPP STACKS
Here are some GPP stacks with multi-touchdown upside.
Kansas City Chiefs Stack at Dallas Cowboys
QB Alex Smith $6,500 with WR Tyreek Hill $6,700 (GPP)
Alternate/Super Stacks: RB Kareem Hunt $8,600 (GPP) and/or TE Travis Kelce $6,700 (GPP)
Correlation Play: WR Dez Bryant $6,400 (Cash/GPP)
On the other side of the ball, Head coach Andy Reid will be aggressive with his game plan and play-calling, similar to other road games this season against the Patriots, Texans, and Raiders. The Chiefs scored at least 30 points in each of those games as the path to success was offense and keeping the foot on the gas pedal. Alex Smith is having a career year with 16 passing touchdowns, zero interceptions, and five multiple-touchdown games. Expect the Chiefs to force the ball to Tyreek Hill, who will have an opportunity to break off a long touchdown against the Cowboys defense.
New Orleans Stack versus Tampa Bay Buccaneers
QB Drew Brees $7,000 with WR Michael Thomas $7,200 (GPP)
Alternative/Super Stacks: RB Mark Ingram $7,600 (GPP)
Correlation Play: WR Mike Evans $7,700 (GPP)
Some have questioned whether “father time” has caught up with Saints quarterback Drew Brees. Since the departure of Adrian Peterson, Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara have accounted for five touchdowns. This is a potential “get-right-game” for Brees at home against the Buccaneers, who have not traveled well, allowing at least 30 points in each of their three road games. Michael Thomas has a prime matchup as the Buccaneers secondary, which has allowed 195.3 receiving yards per game to opposing wide receivers, the most in the NFL.
Seattle Seahawks Stack versus Washington Redskins
QB Russell Wilson $7,300 with TE Jimmy Graham $5,000 (GPP)
Alternate/Super Stacks: DST Seahawks $3,500 (GPP)
Russell Wilson has ramped up the offense with 786 passing yards and seven touchdowns over the past two weeks. Jimmy Graham has been one of the main beneficiaries with four touchdowns in his last three games. The Redskins are a funnel defense that has allowed 81.1 receiving yards per game, the most in the NFL, to opposing Tight Ends. The Seahawks defense makes for an interesting stack along with Wilson and Graham. The Redskins offensive line has been decimated with injuries to all five starters. Only one starter, right tackle Morgan Moses, practiced on Wednesday, as the team was forced to sign three offensive linemen last week. The Seahawks defense has the potential for a ceiling game with a high amount of sacks and turnovers.
Tennessee Titans Stack versus Baltimore Ravens
QB Marcus Mariota $6,000 with RB DeMarco Murray $5,400 (GPP)
Alternative/Super Stacks: WR Rishard Matthews $4,600 or WR Corey Davis $4,400 (GPP)
For a lower owned GPP stack, consider Tenessee, who will be rested after the bye week. The crowd will be off the Titans as they barely escaped with a 12-9 overtime victory over the winless Cleveland Browns in Week Seven. Marcus Mariota and DeMarco Murray are both underpriced on DraftKings and should account for the bulk of the scoring. Rookie wide receiver Corey Davis was a full participant in Wednesday’s practice and should return to the lineup this week.
DEFENSIVE STACKS (CASH/GPP Tournaments)
There is one defensive stack that stands out this weekend and can be used in GPP tournaments.
Jacksonville Jaguars Stack versus Cincinnati Bengals
RB Leonard Fournette $8,400 with D/ST Jaguars $3,800 (GPP)
Leonard Fournette is expected to return after logging a full practice earlier in the week. The rookie running back has been spectacular averaging 99.3 rushing yards per game and seven touchdowns. Fournette has also averaged 24.1 touches per game and should be in-line for another heavy workload this week. The Jaguars defense makes for a strong correlation play as the Bengals have the lowest projected team total (17.5 points) on the schedule.
