In this weekly DraftKings article, we will discuss some cash game stacks that should provide a high floor for your 50-50 and H2H cash game contests. These stacks are safe to use in your GPP tournaments as well, but they will most likely carry a high ownership percentage. In the second half of this article, we will review some lower-owned GPP stacks along with a defensive stack.
*This article focuses on stacks from DraftKings main slate and does not include Thursday Night Football, Sunday Night Football, or Monday Night Football.
$$ Cash GAME STACKS $$
Dallas Cowboys at San Francisco 49ers
QB Dak Prescott $7,300 with WR Dez Bryant $7,800 (Cash/GPP)
The Cowboys will have no problem scoring points against the winless 49ers, who enter the game with the fourth-worst pass defense allowing 262 passing yards per game. Dak Prescott has been the model of consistency with at least three touchdowns in each of his past three games. Dez Bryant has at least eight targets in every game except when he was matched up with Patrick Peterson. Bryant has yet to have a breakout game but is in a tremendous spot against the weak 49ers secondary.
GPP STACKS
Here are some GPP stacks that should carry a low ownership percentage but provide multi-touchdown upside.
New Orleans Saints Stack at Green Bay Packers
QB Drew Brees $7,600 with WR Michael Thomas $7,500 (GPP)
Alternative/Super Stacks: RB Mark Ingram $6,700 (GPP)
Correlation Play: WR Davante Adams $5,800 (GPP)
Expect the Saints offense to be aggressive early with the intent of building a lead and putting pressure on Packers inexperienced quarterback Brett Hundley. Drew Brees has multiple touchdowns in each of his past four games and has a plus-matchup against the Packers secondary. Don’t be afraid to go back to the well with Michael Thomas after he burned many owners with three receptions for 11 yards last week. Prior to that game, he was averaging over nine targets per game.
Green Bay Packers Stack versus New Orleans Saints
QB Brett Hundley $5,100 with WR Davante Adams $5,800 (GPP)
Alternative/Super Stacks: WR Jordy Nelson $6,800 (GPP) or Randall Cobb $5,300 (GPP)
Correlation Play: WR Michael Thomas $7,500 (GPP)
On the other side of the ball, the Packers will be moving forward with Brett Hundley, who is the top quarterback if you are spending down at the position. Hundley is a wild card as many will be taking a wait-and-see approach with the Packers offense. He has the benefit of a strong supporting cast and a home matchup against the Saints, who have allowed the fifth-most passing yards (268) per game. Davante Adams is the preferred target as he has scored at least one touchdown in four of his past five games.
Tennessee Titans Stack at Cleveland Browns
QB Marcus Mariota $6,900 with TE Delanie Walker $5,800 (GPP)
Alternate/Super Stacks: WR Rishard Matthews $5,500 (GPP)
This projects as a “get-right” spot for Marcus Mariota and the Titans passing game. The Browns pass defense has allowed an NFL leading 14 touchdowns and 111 passer rating to opposing quarterbacks. Delanie Walker is in a fabulous spot as the Browns have allowed five touchdowns to the tight end position this season.
DEFENSIVE STACKS (GPP Tournaments)
There are two defensive stacks that stands out this weekend and can be used in Cash Games or GPP tournaments.
Minnesota Vikings Stack versus Baltimore Ravens
RB Jerick McKinnon $6,300 with D/ST Minnesota Vikings $3,300 (Cash/GPP)
Expect the Vikings defense to dominate the abysmal Ravens offense, who has averaged the second-worst passing yards (160) per game. Jerick McKinnon has been a pleasant surprise with the loss of Dalvin Cook three weeks ago. Over the past two games, McKinnon has produced 245 total yards with 11 receptions and three touchdowns. He will be the workhorse once again as Stefon Diggs is working his way back from a groin injury. The Ravens defense has allowed the third-most rushing yards (141.3) per game.
Buffalo Bills Stack versus Tampa Bay Buccaneers
RB LeSean McCoy $7,400 with D/ST Buffalo Bills $3,400 (GPP)
The Bills defense is also in a good spot coming off their bye week in a home matchup against the Buccaneers. Jameis Winston has a sprained AC joint in his right shoulder and has yet to throw in practice this week. With the absence of Charles Clay, the Bills will lean heavily on LeSean McCoy, who is locked into volume and underpriced on DraftKings.
