In this weekly DraftKings article, we will discuss some FAT STACKS (Cash Game Stacks) that should provide a high floor for your 50-50 and H2H cash game contests. These stacks are safe to use in your GPP tournaments as well, but they may carry a high ownership percentage. In the second half of this article, it’s all about A Dollar and a Dream. DraftKings will be crowning another Fantasy Football Millionaire this weekend! For just a $20 entry, you have an opportunity to win some life changing money!
We have a unique 10 game slate, which is less than a normal NFL week. This usually leads to a higher ownership percentage with the top projected plays. Consider dialing back your bankroll allotment this week due to these circumstances.
FAT STACK$ ($$ Cash GAME STACKS $$)
Tampa Bay Buccaneers Stack vs. Oakland Raiders
QB Jameis Winston $5,700 with WR Mike Evans $8,100
The DraftKings pricing algorithm missed Jameis Winston ($5,700) as he is severely underpriced for Tampa Bay’s home matchup vs. the Oakland Raiders. After passing for 3 touchdowns last week at San Francisco, somehow Winston received a $200 reduction in price this week. In the absence of Doug Martin and Vincent Jackson, the Buccaneers offensive production has been going through Mike Evans. He has been more consistent this season with at least 11 targets over the past five games. Winston is looking to Evans in the red zone as he already has 6 touchdowns this season. Expect more of the same this week as Oakland has the league’s worst pass defense in the league, allowing 302 passing yards/per game.
Denver Broncos Stack vs. San Diego Chargers
RB Devontae Booker $3,700 with DST Broncos $3,700
Devontae Booker ($,3700) will be the chalk value play at RB for Week 8. News broke this past Wednesday that C.J. Anderson is expected to miss time due to an injured knee. Booker will have an opportunity to shine as the main RB in Denver moving forward. DraftKings prices were already set for the week and thus Booker is severely underpriced. Booker produced well last week in a committee role, 17 rushes for 83 yards and 1 touchdown, vs the Houston Texans. He should find room to run again this week with a high-probability of a touchdown. The Chargers have allowed 9 rushing touchdowns on the season, 4th worst in the NFL. The Broncos defense stands out as the top option on the main DraftKings slate. The Broncos are a 5.5 point home favorite and are tied with the lowest total of the day, 43.5 points.
Atlanta Falcons Stack vs. Green Bay Packers
QB Matt Ryan $7000 with WR Julio Jones $9600 and/or RB Devonta Freeman $6,500
Correlation Play: WR Randall Cobb $6,400
The Atlanta Falcons are a 3 point home favorite over the Green Bay Packers in a game with the largest total of the weekend, 53 points. Matt Ryan was disappointing last week vs. the Chargers producing 273 yards and 1 touchdown. Expect him to bounce back this week as the Packers secondary has been inconsistent without CB Sam Shields. Julio Jones is the top WR on the slate and will once again be one of the most popular WR to roster. Jones has gone over 139 receiving yards in 3 of his past 4 games, the one exception in Denver. To capture all the Falcons offensive production, add Devonta Freeman to your Falcons stack to create a superstack. Tevin Coleman suffered a hamstring strain during Week 7 and is expected to miss this week. Without Coleman in the mix, Freeman will have an opportunity to shine as the main RB in Atlanta. For a correlation play, consider adding Randall Cobb to your roster. Since the Packers bye in Week 4, Cobb has been a target machine with totals of 11, 11, and 15. Make sure you have some exposure to this game as it is very likely to turn into a shoot-out.
A DollaR and A DREAM (GPP STACKS)
Here are some GPP stacks that should carry a low ownership percentage but provide multi-touchdown upside.
Seattle Seahawks Stack at New Orleans Saints
QB Russell Wilson $7200 with TE Jimmy Graham $6,100
Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks have a get-right game for their offense as they visit New Orleans. Since suffering a MCL sprain in Week 3, Wilson has played hurt and his overall production has suffered. Due to the injury, he is staying in the pocket and his rushing totals have been non-existent. This will not matter vs. a Saints pass defense that is ranked 30th in the NFL, averaging 287 passing yards allowed per game. Jimmy Graham returns to the city that made him a fantasy superstar. Graham has shocked the world bouncing back from last seasons’ patellar tendon injury. The Seahawks are utilizing him much more in the passing game this season. Over the past four weeks, Graham’s targets are 10, 9, 8, and 9. Despite that consistency, Graham has only found the end zone once this season. Expect some positive touchdown regression this week followed by one of Graham’s classic goal-post dunks. Of course it will be flagged for an unsportsmanlike celebration penalty, but it is all good if we get the fantasy points!
New England Patriots Stack at Buffalo Bills
QB Tom Brady $7,600 with TE Rob Gronkowski $7,000
Do you think Bill Belichick remembers being shutout at home 16-0 vs. these same Buffalo Bills back in Week 4? In that game, the Patriots started Jacoby Brissett at QB and Rob Gronkowski was still recovering from his hamstring injury. Much has changed with both teams since that game in Week 4. Over the past three weeks, Tom Brady has reclaimed his spot as the highest priced DraftKings QB. He has produced 8 touchdowns and 0 interceptions over the past three weeks. Rob Gronkowski is healthy and once again the top option at the TE position. Gronkowski is the most expensive DraftKings TE, but it is justified as he carries the highest floor/ceiling of any TE in the league. While many will be paying up for Julio Jones and Mike Evans, Gronkowski has GPP winning upside as well.
