1. GB - WR Randall Cobb had offseason surgery

Source: Milwaukee Journal Sentinel - Tom Silverstein

Green Bay Packers WR Randall Cobb (ankle) said he had offseason surgery to remove cartilage in his ankle and believes he can move around a lot better now.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Cobb has been full speed in practice and this looks like it'll be good for his short and long term durability. Unless he has a setback in camp, this should make you more inclined to draft him at ADP.

2. CLE - Cleveland has talked with WR Dez Bryant

Source: The Cleveland Plain Dealer - Mary Kay Cabot

Free-agent WR Dez Bryant's (Cowboys) representatives have had discussions with the Cleveland Browns about the possibility of Bryant signing a one-year deal with the Browns, according to a source.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Write Bryant's name on the Browns roster lightly in pencil. They need him with Josh Gordon gone for who knows how long and few proven durable, experienced outside receivers on the roster. Corey Coleman should still be on the field in three-wide sets in any event and have a chance to build his value in dynasty leagues. Jarvis Landry is looking like the focal point of the pass offense and actually a solid proposition at ADP in PPR leagues.

3. SEA - RB Chris Carson continues to run with first team

Source: ESPN.com - Brady Henderson

Seattle Seahawks RB Chris Carson has worked as the No. 1 running back ahead of Rashaad Penny through the first two days of training camp, according to ESPN's Brady Henderson.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Seahawks aren't pushing Carson aside despite spending a first on Penny. Carson was almost unanimously cited as the most impressive player in OTAs, and he should force a committee if not hold onto the starting job for Week 1.

4. BUF - QB AJ McCarron gets chance with starters

Source: ESPN.com - Mike Rodak

Buffalo Bills QB AJ McCarron worked with the first-team offense during practice Friday, July 27. QB Nathan Peterman worked with the starters Thursday, July 26.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Bills are going to have one of the worst quarterbacks in the league no matter who starts. Kelvin Benjamin and Charles Clay will get targets by default, but it's hard to believe that they can help make your draft behind a suspect offensive line with McCarron, Peterman, or rough around the edge first-round pick Josh Allen throwing them the ball.

5. LAC - CB Jason Verrett may have torn Achillies'

Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Updating an earlier report, Los Angeles Chargers CB Jason Verrett (Achillies') likely suffered a torn Achilles' during a conditioning test Friday, July 27, although he is still undergoing tests to confirm the seriousness of the injury.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This is a terrible development for a player that will have played 25 games in the first five years of his career. Verrett is a legit CB1, but just can't stay healthy. The Chargers have Trevor Williams and Desmond King so it's not crippling for their secondary, but it makes the jump to the elite less likely. No team seems to have more bad injury luck than the Chargers.

6. GB - J'Mon Moore getting first-team reps

Source: Green Bay Press-Gazette - Ryan Wood

Green Bay Packers WR J'Mon Moore is already seeing some time with the first team in training camp. He has reportedly impressed coaches with how quickly he has learned multiple receiver spots.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Geronimo Allison is the favorite for the #3 job, but Moore is more physically gifted and the team likes his size/speed/quickness combination as a downfield receiver. Both should be on your late round flier list until this gets resolved.

7. WAS - TE Jordan Reed feels like a new man

Source: ESPN.com - John Keim

Washington Redskins TE Jordan Reed (toes) said he feels '100 times better' and is running pain free following multiple surgeries.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Reed is still a major injury risk and if you draft him, you should spend a pick on a top backup or closely monitor the waiver wire, but the injury discount in his ADP has gotten large enough to consider him as your Plan A at tight end.

8. WAS - ILB Zach Brown back on field

Source: NBC Sports Washington - JP Finlay

Washington Redskins LB Zach Brown (quadriceps) participated in practice Friday, July 27, and said that his leg feels fine.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Good news for Washington, who signed Brown to a three-year, 24 million dollar contract with ten million guaranteed this offseason.

9. WAS - RB Rob Kelley day-to-day

Source: ESPN.com - John Keim

Washington Redskins RB Rob Kelley (illness) left practice early Friday, July 27, because of heat-related symptoms. He is considered day-to-day at this time.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Kelley is trying to stay above Samaje Perine on the depth chart and maybe even give Washington ideas about releasing Perine, but for now that roster battle is on hold.

10. NYJ - WR Quincy Enunwa in non-contact jersey

Source: SNY - Ralph Vacchiano

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa (neck) was wearing a non-contact jersey during practice Friday, July 27.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Enunwa's neck injury is still limiting him, so it's fair to wonder if he'll be ready to start, or perhaps Jermaine Kearse will retain his surprising 2017 value. Terrelle Pryor is also coming back from injuries, so there's still a lot to be sorted out in the Jets wide receiver corps.

11. DAL - DE Randy Gregory to be eased back

Source: The Dallas Morning News - David Moore

Dallas Cowboys DE Randy Gregory is expected to be eased back into practice near the end of next week because he has not been on a field in a while. The team is happy with Gregory's conditioning.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Gregory could make an impact as a situational pass rusher. The Cowboys need more help on the interior, but perhaps Gregory's presence could give them more flexibility to kick someone inside on passing downs. He's worth an add in deep IDP dynasty leagues.

12. NYJ - RB Elijah McGuire suffers injury

Source: ESPNNewYork.com - Rich Cimini

New York Jets RB Elijah McGuire (foot) suffered a foot injury during practice Friday, July 27. The severity of the injury is not known at this time.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

McGuire was being hyped by some as an ascending player in this backfield, staking a claim to more of the third down and passing game work in his second year. Sixth round Trenton Cannon is showing good speed and agility early in camp and this could open the door for him to make the roster.

13. CLE - S Jabrill Peppers may return next week

Source: ClevelandBrowns.com - Andrew Gribble

Cleveland Browns FS Jabrill Peppers (groin) hopefully will be able to return to the practice field next week, according to head coach Hue Jackson.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We will have to wait at least a few more days to see if Gregg Williams has a better and different plan for Peppers location in the formation this year.

14. OAK - DE Khalil Mack on Did not Report list

Source: NFL Network - James Palmer

Oakland Raiders DE Khalil Mack was placed on the Reserve/Did Not Report list Friday, July 27.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Raiders defense might be the worst in the league without Mack. They must have him, so he has the leverage here. He might hold out into the season and incentive to, so IDP leaguers should be watching this closely.

15. CLE - Greg Robinson carted off

Source: Akron Beacon Journal - Nate Ulrich

Cleveland Browns OT Greg Robinson (undisclosed) was carted off the field during practice Friday, July 27, because of an undisclosed reason.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Robinson was playing just to make the roster. The former #2 overall pick's profile is fading fast.

16. BAL - OLB Tyus Bowser leaves practice

Source: ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley

Baltimore Ravens LB Tyus Bowser (undisclosed) left practice early Friday, July 27, but did not appear to be favoring anything when he was walking off the field.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bowser has a ton of upside as a pass rusher, and can also drop into coverage. The Ravens defense is deep, so they can afford losing him for some period of time if this ends up being serious, but he is poised to do more in the defense this year.

17. BAL - WR Chris Moore has solid practice

Source: ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley

Baltimore Ravens WR Chris Moore was one of the standout performers during practice Friday, July 27, and appears to be the leading candidate for the No. 4 receiver job, in the opinion of ESPN.com's Jamison Hensley.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Moore has the speed and game to operate well on deep balls, and he has the longest tenure with the team of any receiver on the roster. If John Brown's injury issues are present in camp or the preseason, Moore will be on our late round radar, assuming he keeps this up.

18. NE - Marcus Cannon expected to be fine

Source: The Athletic - Jeff Howe

New England Patriots OT Marcus Cannon (undisclosed) left practice early Friday, July 27, but likely will return to practice Saturday, July 28, according to a source.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Sigh of relief for the Patriots, who have a starting left tackle (Trent Brown) coming back from shoulder surgery and would sorely miss Cannon on the right side.

19. LAC - Several Chargers not ready for camp

Source: Chargers.com - Ricky Henne

Los Angeles Chargers TE Hunter Henry (knee), OG Forrest Lamp (knee) and CB Jason Verrett (Achilles') were placed on the Active/Physically Unable to Perform list Friday, July 27. S Derwin James (undisclosed) and OT Brett Boyko (undisclosed) were placed on the Active/Non-Football Injury list.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Lamp could be part of a revitalized interior line with fellow 2017 second-day pick Dan Feeney and free agent addition Mike Pouncey, but needs to get back to full speed. James' absence didn't any explanatory details, but with the loss of Jason Verrett, the defense needs him more than ever, so we'll be monitoring it closely.

20. TEN - TE Delanie Walker lands two-year extension

Source: TitansOnline.com - Jim Wyatt

Tennessee Titans TE Delanie Walker agreed to a two-year contract extension Friday, July 27. Financial terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Walker is one of the league's most underrated players and he has rare staying power and longevity at one of the toughest positions in the league. He's still a solid TE1, although 2017 third-round pick Jonnu Smith is going to have a larger role and possibly cap Walker's upside. This is a great sign the Titans see no imminent dropoff in Walker's future.

21. HOU - RB Lamar Miller sheds weight

Source: Houston Chronicle - Aaron Wilson

Houston Texans RB Lamar Miller told The Houston Chronicle's Aaron Wilson he is at 217 pounds - his lightest weight since joining the team in 2016.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Miller appeared to lose a lot of explosiveness when he bulked up to be a workhorse for the Texans in 2016. He is going to operate in an offense that will spread the field more often, so this is a great development. With D'Onta Foreman's achilles recovery still a question mark, Miller is a very attractive pick at ADP as a high floor RB2 or very strong RB3.

22. BAL - Two Ravens idle Friday

Source: The Athletic - Jeff Zrebiec

Baltimore Ravens RB Kenneth Dixon (hamstring) and TE Mark Andrews (undisclosed) are out of practice Friday, July 27.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Dixon hasn't played since 2016. While he is more talented than Javorius Allen, Allen has been so dependable that he is going to figure into the backfield is some way. The Ravens backfield is very productive and support two fantasy relevant backs, so one of Dixon or Allen will pay dividends on a late pick. As long as Dixon is sidelined, Allen is the favorite.

23. SEA - S Earl Thomas officially a holdout

Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Josh Alper

Seattle Seahawks FS Earl Thomas will be placed on the Did Not Report list, though head coach Pete Carroll says the team continues to operate under the belief that Thomas will eventually report.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Thomas is the last member of the Legion of Boom secondary left, but that might not be for long. He seems to have the resolve to force the Seahawks hand here. Tedric Thompson or Delano Hill could be in the Week 1 starting lineup vs Denver.
