Howdy Folks,

Good Sunday to you.

Please listen up:

On July 15, that's TODAY, most of the content at Footballguys will be available to our Footballguys Season Long Pro subscribers and Daily Fantasy Pro Subscribers. And we've got a great new way to get both.

I've told you about our partnership with DRAFT. They are giving new DRAFT customers a free Footballguys Season Long Subscription for making a $10 deposit with DRAFT.

No strings attached. If you're new to DRAFT, signup and deposit $10 with DRAFT and you get a Footballguys Season Long Pro subscription for free that is normally $39.95. Tons of you have already taken advantage of the deal over the last few weeks.

Well that deal just got better.

Now, if you play through the $10 you deposit with DRAFT, they will give you a free Footballguys Daily Fantasy Pro subscription to go with your Footballguys Season Long Pro subscription. That way you get both subscriptions Footballguys offers. That's a $59.95 value.

So for all you guys that have already signed up for the Footballguys / DRAFT promo, just play through your $10 deposit and you'll automatically be upgraded to have the Daily Fantasy Pro subscription added. It's that simple.

And if you haven't yet signed up with the DRAFT deal, now's the time.

Also, if you already have a Footballguys subscription, that's no problem. You can still sign up for the DRAFT promo and one year will be added to whatever you currently have with Footballguys.

One big thing though, you MUST use this special DRAFT link when you signup. Or use the PROMO code FBGSUB.

AND if you already have a Footballguys subscription, you must use the same email with DRAFT that you use with Footballguys.

Ok, let's get to the new articles AND the News and Notes you need.

SITE NEWS

A. What's Going to Happen in the NY Jets Backfield?
Matt Forte has retired, but he was replaced by Isaiah Crowell. Will Crowell simply slide in Forte's old role? Bilal Powell seemed locked into the third-down job, but Elijah McGuire has a lot of ability. Is this a three-headed committee, or will one back take the lead?

The Footballguys Staff dives in.

B. What's Going to Happen in the Oakland Backfield?
Marshawn Lynch came out of retirement in 2017 and performed well down the stretch. The arrival of Jon Gruden also brought Doug Martin. Is Martin clearly behind Lynch, or are their roles similar? Do Jalen Richard and/or Deandre Washington have any value here?

The Footballguys Staff dives in.

1. PIT - Deadline closing in for Le'Veon Bell

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell has made some progress in long-term contract talks with the Steelers, but it is still uncertain whether the two sides will reach a deal before the July 16 deadline.

We are still not overly concerned about the contract issue, though it remains a situation to watch. Bell is arguably the top running back in fantasy. If you want him on your squad, you will have to pay dearly for him.

2. DET - Long-term deal unlikely for Ziggy Ansah

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Detroit Lions DE Ziggy Ansah likely will not receive a long-term extension before the July 16 deadline unless there is a significant turn of events in contract negotiations, according to sources.

A tremendous defensive end, Ansah will see interest next offseason. The Lions have to balance his ability with cost though, so they may not look to retain him after this contract is done. Ansah has a ton of incentive to have a great season and set himself up to make significant money next spring. We expect plenty of fantasy production from him this season.

3. NYG - WR Russell Shepard could earn solid role

Source: NJ Advance Media - Matt Lombardo

New York Giants WR Russell Shepard has a chance to win the No. 4 receiver job if he can show reliable hands during training camp and the preseason.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The reality is that with Odell Beckham Jr., Evan Engram, Sterling Shepard, and now Saquon Barkley, that any receiver who is considered the fourth or fifth best on the team is unlikely to have fantasy relevance. He's not worth tracking.

4. NYG - Hunter Sharp could push for returner job

Source: NJ Advance Media - Matt Lombardo

New York Giants WR Hunter Sharp may compete for the kick and punt returner job during training camp. Sharp did see some snaps with the first-team offense during offseason workouts.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Sharp is unlikely to have an impact on offense directly but watch how he does on special teams kick and punt returns.

5. NE - Two WRs may compete for one spot

Source: The Boston Globe - Owen Pence

New England Patriots WRs Kenny Britt and Phillip Dorsett likely will compete for the No. 5 receiver job during training camp.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Both have shown ability in the past but neither one has done so consistently. It's hard to imagine the fifth receiver on the Patriots moving the needle in as far as fantasy production is concerned, but it's worth taking note of who wins the job in case of injuries ahead of that receiver.

6. SF - Dante Pettis the No. 3 WR?

Source: NFL.com - Nick Shook

San Francisco 49ers WR Dante Pettis could 'make an impact quicker than most expect,' according to Nick Shook of NFL.com, and Shook believes Pettis could beat out WR Aldrick Robinson for the No. 3 receiver job.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The team drafted him because he is versatile enough to line up at every receiving position. There's a lot of opportunity there for him to be on the field. Right now his ADP is 222nd overall and the 72nd receiver coming off the board, but we think there's a chance he can outproduce that, which might make him a value.

7. ARI - Christian Kirk in position to contribute

Source: NFL.com - Nick Shook

Arizona Cardinals WR Christian Kirk has an opportunity to make an immediate impact as an 'underneath threat' in the passing attack, according to Nick Shook of NFL.com.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Some pundits feel Kirk is a guy who could be stuck behind Larry Fitzgerald until the veteran retires. Luckily, he can also play outside, which will give him ample opportunity to produce in year one. Right now he is going off the boards as the 62nd receiver off the board. We'd feel like he had the potential to be very valuable there if we knew more about the quarterback situation. But he could move up as the summer goes on.
