1. PHI - QB Carson Wentz cleared for 7-on-7 work

Source: Philadelphia Daily News - Les Bowen

Updating previousr reports, Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) has been cleared for seven-on-seven work, according to head coach Doug Pederson.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Wentz remains ahead of schedule in recovery from the knee injury that ended his 2017 season, but his status for the beginning of the regular season is still up in the air. He should be on track to start in Week 1 but he'll have to suffer no setbacks over the next couple of months and continue to progress.

2. DET - Lions hosting backup QB competition

Source: DetroitLions.com - Tim Twentyman

Detroit Lions QB Jake Rudock received most of the second-team reps Wednesday, June 6, after QB Matt Cassel took most of them on Tuesday, June 5. The club appears to be giving both signal-callers an equal opportunity to win the backup job behind QB Matthew Stafford.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Neither one is interesting as dynasty prospects. Cassel is well known by the NFL community from his days as a starter. Rudock is much more unknown, but from his college days at Michigan he's a player with a ton of moxie and toughness in the pocket. We're not expecting much from him if he ever gets the chance to start.

3. SEA - DE Frank Clark skips all of OTAs

Source: The Seattle Times - Bob Condotta

Seattle Seahawks DE Frank Clark skipped all of his team's organized team activities because he'd like a contract extension 'sooner than later,' as he's entering the final season of his initial four-year rookie deal.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Seattle has not yet had any 'substantive discussions' with Clark and his representatives just yet and it's possible they are 'willing to play this one out a little bit.'

4. DEN - De'Angelo Henderson remains sidelined

Source: 9News.com - Mike Klis

Denver Broncos RB De'Angelo Henderson (obqlique) was once again held out of organized team activities Wednesday, June 6, due to a slight oblique strain.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Henderson has been getting some first-team reps for the Broncos in OTAs a week or so ago. He's a compact back who can make defenders miss in the open field. Henderson was inactive for most of his rookie season in 2017, but this year he's vying for a larger role. Rookie Royce Freeman and third-year pro Devontae Booker are likely the lead backs for the Broncos in 2018.

5. WAS - QB Alex Smith, WR Jamison Crowder clicking

Source: CSNWashington.com - Rich Tandler

Washington Redskins QB Alex Smith and WR Jamison Crowder already appear to have good chemistry. According to NBCSportsWashington's Rich Tandler, Smith looked comfortable looking Crowder's way during goal-line plays at organized team activities Wednesday, June 6.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Keep this in mind as training camp and the preseason approaches. Smith is the new quarterback in Washington, and it sounds like he's developing a strong rapport with Crowder. In current 12-team PPR league drafts, Crowder is going off the board at WR42 (9.06).

6. MIA - WR DeVante Parker sets reasonable goals

Source: Sun-Sentinel - Omar Kelly

Miami Dolphins WR DeVante Parker said his 2018 goals are to stay healthy, reach 1,000 yards and score a few touchdowns.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Parker has always been part of the All-Hype team in the spring and training camp during the summer. A first-round pick in 2015, Parker has at best been WR52 (2016) in standard-scoring leagues. Without Jarvis Landry (Browns) this year, Parker will have a larger opportunity and a chance to finally play up to his potential. He's going off the board at WR41 (9.03) in 12-team PPR leagues.

7. NFL - Two apply for supplemental draft

Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero

Former Mississippi State DB Brandon Bryant and former Western Michigan CB Sam Beal have applied for the NFL supplemental draft.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bryant is a freakish athlete, measuring in at 5'11" 200 pounds and he's been timed at a 4.24 40-yard dash. Even though he's a speedy player, Bryant is also known as a sound tackler. Beal's game is all about making a play on the ball. Last year at Western Michigan, Beal broke up 10 passes and had two interceptions. In addition to those two defensive backs, Virginia Tech's Adonis Alexander is set to enter the supplemental draft as well.

8. ARI - TE Jermaine Gresham shooting for Week 1

Source: ESPN.com - Josh Weinfuss

Arizona Cardinals TE Jermaine Gresham (Achilles') is hopeful to be ready for Week 1, according to head coach Steve Wilks.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Gresham injured his Achilles' in Week 17 last year and should be limited in training camp. We should see Ricky Seals-Jones get a chance to do more in 2018.

9. NFL - Chuck Pagano wants to coach again

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Former Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano said Wednesday, June 6, that he'd like to coach again.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Pagano's time as the Colts head coach was hot and cold. He had three 11-win seasons, but over the final three years with Indy the team went 20-28 under the veteran head coach. He wants to get into coaching again but may not find many opportunities unless he goes back to being a coordinator.

10. JAX - DJ Chark lining up everywhere

Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Charean Williams

Jacksonville Jaguars WR DJ Chark is learning all three receiver spots and multiple roles on special teams, including as a return man on both punts and kickoffs.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Chark's game is all about speed, speed and more speed. He can fly down the field and take the top off the defense. Chark will be used to stretch the defense, and it sounds like he can do that from multiple spots. We like him from a dynasty lens.

11. HOU - DE Jadeveon Clowney full strength for camp?

Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Curtis Crabtree

Houston Texans LB Jadeveon Clowney (knee) hopes to be at 'full strength' for the start of training camp, according to defensive line coach Anthony Weaver.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Clowney had a knee scope earlier this year and the team is going to be cautious bringing him back. Entering the final year of his rookie contract, Clowney is set to break the bank if he stays healthy and produces at the expected level.
