1. HOU - WR Keke Coutee to miss Week 9

Source: HoustonTexans.com

Houston Texans WR Keke Coutee (hamstring) will not travel with the team for their Week 9 game and has been ruled out.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Texans lost Will Fuller for the rest of the year and that's why they traded for Demaryius Thomas earlier this week. Thomas will serve as the no2 WR for the Texans opposite DeAndre Hopkins. We'll see RB Tyler Ervin placed in as the slot WR for the Texans in Coutee's absence.

2. MIN - Chad Beebe added to active roster

Source: Vikings.com

Minnesota Vikings practice squad WR Chad Beebe was signed to the 53-man roster Saturday, Nov. 3. Terms of the contract were not disclosed. The team also waived OT Storm Norton.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Beebe, the son of former Bills standout Don Beebe, caught nine passes for 95 yards and two touchdowns in the preseason. Activating him from the practice squad shows how concerned the Vikings are with Stefon Diggs as he missed the entire week of practice due to a rib injury.

3. BUF - Quick impact for WR Terrelle Pryor?

Source: WKBW.com - Joe Buscaglia

Buffalo Bills WR Terrelle Pryor has been learning the playbook quickly and could have a 'legitimate role' against the Chicago Bears in Week 9, according to Joe Buscaglia of WKBW.com.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This is one to watch. It's tough to predict how much, if any, Pryor will produce but it's fair warning from Bills writer Joe Buscaglia to not sleep on him.

4. GB - WR Geronimo Allison downgraded to out

Source: Packers.com

Green Bay Packers WR Geronimo Allison (hamstring, groin) was officially ruled out for Week 9 Saturday, Nov. 3.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Without Allison in the lineup it opens the door for rookie Marquez Valdes-Scantling. He's got WR3 or flex appeal in Week 9.

5. ARI - Arizona parts with QB Sam Bradford

Source: AZCardinals.com - Darren Urban

Arizona Cardinals QB Sam Bradford was released Saturday, Nov. 3.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's amazing to think that Bradford signed a two-year, $40 million contract with the Cardinals back in March. The Cardinals ended up paying him roughly $13.5 million in salary and bonuses...all for three games of action. The Cardinals move forward with Josh Rosen continuing as their starter and Mike Glennon working as his primary backup.

6. NYG - QB Sam Bradford not of interest to Giants

Source: ESPN - Dianna Marie Russini

Free-agent QB Sam Bradford (Cardinals) will not be pursued by the New York Giants following his release from the Arizona Cardinals, according to a source.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Giants are struggling on offense, largely due to the ineffective play of QB Eli Manning. With rookie Kyle Lauletta as his only primary backup, the Giants season seems like it won't get back on track. It's not like Bradford is the answer, but perhaps the team should think about all options...unless they are just playing out the rest of the season in hopes of getting the best possible draft pick.

7. BAL - RB Alex Collins will play in Week 9

Source: CBSSports.com - Jason La Canfora

Baltimore Ravens RB Alex Collins (foot) will suit up against the Pittsburgh Steelers this week despite missing practice time.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Collins is the lead back for the Ravens but the snaps will be distributed differently this week against the Steelers. The Ravens traded for Ty Montgomery earlier in the week and we're anxious to see how he fits into the RBBC with Collins and Buck Allen.

8. OAK - DE Bruce Irvin done in Oakland

Source: The Athletic - Vic Tafur

Oakland Raiders LB Bruce Irvin was released Saturday, Nov. 3, according to sources.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Raiders weren't able to trade Irvin away before the deadline on Tuesday. Irvin will likely get another chance quickly with a team in need of a third-down pass rusher.

9. TEN - WR Corey Davis on track to play

Source: TitansOnline.com - Jim Wyatt

Tennessee Titans WR Corey Davis (hamstring) fully participated in practice Saturday, Nov. 3, and is not on the injury report for Week 9.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Davis has had a real up and down season in 2018. Going up against the Cowboys on Monday, Davis is worth considering as a low-end WR2 or flex in PPR leagues.

10. HOU - RB Tyler Ervin likely to be slot WR

Source: Houston Chronicle - Aaron Wilson

Houston Texans RB Tyler Ervin likely will serve as the slot receiver for the Texans in Week 9 with WR Keke Coutee (hamstring) ruled out.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Ervin is dangerous with the ball in open space. He's not as quick or elusive as Coutee and is only worth looking at as a 'what the heck' flex against the Broncos in Week 9.

11. DEN - WR Jordan Taylor unable to practice

Source: 9News.com - Mike Klis

Denver Broncos WR Jordan Taylor (hips) was not able to practice Friday, Nov. 2, because his surgically repaired hips were sore. The team must decide by Monday, Nov. 5, if they will activate Taylor from the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It doesn't seem like the Broncos are going to activate Taylor this year. He's set to be a restricted free agent in 2019.

12. CLE - WR Rashard Higgins confident about status

Source: The Chronicle-Telegram - Scott Petrak

Cleveland Browns WR Rashard Higgins (knee) said he fully expects to play in the Week 9 game even though he is listed as questionable.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Higgins hasn't played since Week 5 due to this sprained MCL. He practiced Thursday and Friday this week and should be on track to play. We're interested to see how the Browns offense works with the coaching changes earlier this week. Higgins is nothing more than a 'what the heck' flex if he does play in Week 9.

13. DET - WR Bruce Ellington works out for Detroit

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Free-agent WR Bruce Ellington (Texans) worked out for the Detroit Lions Saturday, Nov. 3, according to a source.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Ellington was waived by the Texans with an injury settlement just a few days ago. The Lions are updating their emergency list at the WR position since they traded away Golden Tate (Eagles) earlier this week.

14. BUF - QB Derek Anderson still in concussion protocol

Source: NFL.com

Buffalo Bills QB Derek Anderson (concussion) remains in concussion protocol, according to head coach Sean McDermott. He has not been able to practice all week and is listed as questionable for Week 9's game against the Chicago Bears.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

With Anderson unlikely to play, we should see Matt Barkley as the primary backup for the Bills in Week 9. Nathan Peterman is going to start this week.

15. NYJ - TE Chris Herndon streaking

Source: The Associated Press - Dennis Waszak Jr.

New York Jets TE Chris Herndon has caught a touchdown pass in three straight games heading into a Week 9 matchup with the Miami Dolphins.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The last two starting TEs to face the Dolphins (Michael Roberts of the Lions and Jordan Thomas of the Texans) have scored two touchdowns each against Miami. That's great news for Herndon who makes for a nice sleeper at the position in Week 9.

16. DEN - WR Jordan Taylor likely out for year

Source: Denver7 - Troy Renck

Denver Broncos WR Jordan Taylor (hips) is 'highly unlikely' to be activated next week and will have to sit out the remainder of the season, according to Troy Renck of Denver7.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We think the Broncos shut down Taylor for the rest of the year on Monday. He's set to be a restricted free agent in 2019.

17. CLE - RB Nick Chubb could run wild

Source: ESPN.com

Cleveland Browns RB Nick Chubb faces the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 9, and the Chiefs are allowing a league-high 5.4 yards per carry and have allowed the third-most rushing touchdowns.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Chubb is a nice RB2 option for Fantasy GMs out there. We're interested to see how the Browns perform after the multiple coaching changes made earlier in the week.

18. MIN - RB Latavius Murray primed for big day?

Source: ESPN.com

Minnesota Vikings RB Latavius Murray faces the Detroit Lions in Week 9, and the Lions are allowing the second-most yards per carry and a league-high 144.6 rushing yards per game.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Going up against the Lions as the lead back for the Vikings, Murray has RB2 appeal. He's done a good job of producing consistently while Dalvin Cook has been out.

19. SF - QB Tom Savage back with San Francisco

Source: 49ers.com

Free-agent QB Tom Savage (49ers) was re-signed by the San Francisco 49ers Friday, Nov. 2.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Savage has bounced on and off the 49ers roster over the last two weeks. He'll be the no.3 quarterback for the 49ers behind C.J. Beathard and Nick Mullens.

20. SF - RB Raheem Mostert to IR

Source: 49ers.com

San Francisco 49ers RB Raheem Mostert (forearm) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Friday, Nov. 2

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Mostert suffered a gruesome forearm injury on Thursday night against the Raiders. He'll undergo surgery to repair the damage. The 49ers move on with Matt Breida and Alfred Morris as the two primary players in the backfield.
