1. NE - No practice for TE Rob Gronkowski

Source: ESPNBoston.com - Mike Reiss

Updating a previous report, New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle, back) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 1.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This puts Gronk's Sunday night status in doubt, at least until we see tomorrow's practice report. He was limited yesterday so this is a dreaded mid-week downgrade. Chris Hogan would get a bump if Gronkowski can't go.

2. MIN - RB Dalvin Cook remains limited

Source: Vikings.com

Minnesota Vikings RB Dalvin Cook (hamstring) was limited in practice Thursday, Nov. 1.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Vikings have a bye next week so they should be very cautious with Cook. We still expect Latavius Murray to get the start in the excellent matchup.

3. LAR - WR Cooper Kupp a limited participant

Source: NewOrleansSaints.com

Los Angeles Rams WR Cooper Kupp (knee) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 1.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Kupp is expected back for the Sunday afternoon game and he'll draw the best matchup of the Rams receivers this week.

4. MIA - Another limited practice for QB Ryan Tannehill

Source: NFLCommunications.com

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill (shoulder) was limited in practice again Thursday, Nov. 1.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Tannehill isn't likely to play against the Jets this week, yielding to Brock Osweiler in a winnable game for Miami.

5. WAS - RB Chris Thompson sits out

Source: NFLCommunications.com

Washington Redskins RB Chris Thompson (rib) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 1.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Thompson is looking like a scratch again this week. Kapri Bibbs is a good deep sleeper against an Atlanta defense that has struggled covering running backs as receivers this year.

6. GB - WR Randall Cobb listed as limited

Source: Packers.com

Green Bay Packers WR Randall Cobb (hamstring) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 1.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Cobb might not be 100% yet and the team is using him in a WR2/WR3 committee with Geronimo Allison, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, and Equanimeous St. Brown. He's a low ceiling WR3/Flex in a potentially high-scoring matchup.

7. LAC - RB Melvin Gordon remains limited

Source: Chargers.com

Los Angeles Chargers RB Melvin Gordon (hamstring) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 1.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We'd like to see Gordon get in a full practice or get removed from the injury report tomorrow to lessen the worry of a Leonard Fournette, Dalvin Cook situation that turns into a prolonged absence because of a premature return.

8. ATL - No practice for WR Mohamed Sanu

Source: ESPN.com - Vaughn McClure

Atlanta Falcons WR Mohamed Sanu (hip) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 1.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Sanu and the Falcons are facing a very tough Washington defense anyway, so he wasn't an attractive play this week even with six teams on bye. He could be out and help the case for putting Austin Hooper and Calvin Ridley in lineups this week.

9. KC - WR Tyreek Hill a limited participant

Source: Chiefs.com

Kansas City Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill (groin) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 1.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hill was a full participant yesterday, so we'll be watching the reports tomorrow to make sure he's safe for Sunday's game at Cleveland.

10. CLE - RB Duke Johnson practices in full

Source: ClevelandBrowns.com

Cleveland Browns RB Duke Johnson (thigh) fully participated in practice Thursday, Nov. 1.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Johnson could have a good week if the Browns fall behind and have to play catchup ball in the second half. He had almost half of his receptions and touchdowns when the team was trailing by multiple scores last year.

11. CHI - Chicago's Thursday injury report

Source: ChicagoBears.com

Chicago Bears TE Ben Braunecker (concussion), OG Kyle Long (foot), DE Khalil Mack (ankle) and DL Bilal Nichols (knee) did not practice Thursday, Nov. 1. C Eric Kush (neck) was limited.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Bears could keep Mack out again to save his ankle for the stretch run. The team should be able to handle their business in Buffalo as long as Mitchell Trubisky doesn't turn the ball over.

12. CHI - WR Allen Robinson misses practice

Source: ChicagoBears.com

Chicago Bears WR Allen Robinson (groin) was not able to practice for a second straight day Thursday, Nov. 1.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It looks like Robinson is going to be out again for Week 9. The Bears should have a conservative game plan against Nathan Peterman anyway, relying on the run and safe passing. Robinson would have run into Tre'Davious White in his matchup if he was able to go.

13. CHI - Full practice for WR Taylor Gabriel

Source: ChicagoBears.com

Chicago Bears WR Taylor Gabriel (knee) practiced in full Thursday, Nov. 1.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Gabriel could get an extra target or two if Allen Robinson is still out on Sunday, although the Bills defense will be no pushover for the Bears.

14. HOU - WR Keke Coutee listed as limited

Source: HoustonTexans.com

Houston Texans WR Keke Coutee (hamstring) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 1.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Texans have their bye next week, so they should be cautious with Coutee, but it appears that he'll have a chance to play in Denver Sunday afternoon. It is a late game so make sure you have a hedge on the roster if you plan on using Coutee in Week 9.

15. DEN - Thursday practice report for Denver

Source: HoustonTexans.com

Denver Broncos WR DaeSean Hamilton (knee), LB Brandon M. Marshall (knee), CB Bradley Roby (ankle) and FS Darian Stewart (neck) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 1. FB Andy Janovich (thigh), LB Von Miller (knee), LB Shane Ray (ankle, wrist) and OT Jared Veldheer (knee) were limited during practice. WR Isaiah McKenzie (hip) and DT Domata Peko (elbow) fully participated in practice.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hamilton should take over as the #3 wide receiver once he's healthy, but for now it will be Tim Patrick. If Roby can't go, the Texans should have an easier time throwing the ball to outside receivers on Sunday.

16. NE - Limited practice for RB Sony Michel

Source: ESPNBoston.com - Mike Reiss

New England Patriots RB Sony Michel (knee) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 1.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Michel has a decent chance to return for Sunday night's game and he should get his normal 15-20 carries if he does. The Patriots should seek to ride Michel to keep Aaron Rodgers on the sidelines.

17. NE - WR Josh Gordon limited

Source: Patriots.com

New England Patriots WR Josh Gordon (hamstring) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 1.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Gordon hasn't gotten back his usual explosion yet this year, likely due to the hamstring. He's an upside WR3/Flex play but might see a lot break out rookie corner Jaire Alexander on Sunday night.

18. BAL - Thursday injury report for Ravens

Source: Steelers.com

Baltimore Ravens OT James Hurst (back), FS Tony Jefferson (hamstring), LB C.J. Mosley (thigh), OT Ronnie Stanley (ankle) and LB Tim Williams (ankle) did not practice Thursday, Nov. 1. OG Bradley Bozeman (calf), CB Marlon Humphrey (thigh), WR Jordan Lasley (hamstring) and OG Alex Lewis (neck) were limited. CB Brandon Carr (rest) practiced in full.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Ravens have some key players in the backbone of their defense and offensive line missing practice today. We'll watch the reports tomorrow but certainly if there's any way they can play with the Steelers coming to town, they will.

19. TEN - WR Corey Davis a limited participant

Source: ESPN.com - Turron Davenport

Tennessee Titans WR Corey Davis (hamstring) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 1.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We never like to see Davis listed with a hamstring issue. He is only a fringe fantasy WR3/Flex starter with poor offensive performances and only one big game this year even though six teams are on bye this week.

20. MIN - Thursday injury report for Vikings

Source: Vikings.com

Minnesota Vikings OG Tom Compton (knee), RB Roc Thomas (hamstring) and LB Anthony Barr (hamstring) did not practice Thursday, Nov. 1. CB Xavier Rhodes (foot), SS Andrew Sendejo (groin), OT Riley Reiff (foot) and DT Linval Joseph (ankle, knee) were limited.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Rhodes could return for the game this week and make life harder for Marvin Jones or Kenny Golladay - he has usually matched up with Jones in the past.

21. MIN - No practice for WR Stefon Diggs

Source: Vikings.com

Minnesota Vikings WR Stefon Diggs (rib) was unable to practice Thursday, Nov. 1.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Diggs said he was going to play, but we'll want to check back on Sunday unless he is removed from the injury report tomorrow. He might see a lot of Darius Slay on Sunday.

22. DET - Thursday practice report for Lions

Source: DetroitLions.com - Tim Twentyman

Detroit Lions DE Ziggy Ansah (shoulder), OT Taylor Decker (back), LB Christian Jones (knee), OG T.J. Lang (hip) and LB Jalen Reeves-Maybin (neck, toe) were limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 1.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We're still waiting for Ansah, who has seemed close to getting back on the field, but hasn't played since Week 1. The Vikings have been allowing a lot of pressure on Kirk Cousins, so if he can play, he'll have IDP production opportunity.

23. TB - Thursday practice report for Bucs

Source: The Athletic - Greg Auman

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Ronald Jones (hamstring), DT Gerald McCoy (calf, non-injury), DE Jason Pierre-Paul (foot, ribs), C Evan Smith (hip) and CB M.J. Stewart (foot) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 1. OT Demar Dotson (ankle) and DE Vinny Curry (ankle) were limited during practice.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Pierre-Paul has been on fire in the sack column going into this one. With McCoy hurting, the Bucs will be hamstrung in their ability to slow down the Panthers hot offense on Sunday if they are missing their two best defensive linemen.

24. TB - WR Mike Evans listed as limited

Source: The Athletic - Greg Auman

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans (knee) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 1.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It seems like Evans should be fine for a high ceiling matchup against the Panthers this week. He came alive as soon as Ryan Fitzpatrick took the field last week.

25. WAS - Trent Williams meeting with specialist

Source: ESPN.com - John Keim

Washington Redskins OT Trent Williams (thumb) is meeting with a specialist Thursday, Nov. 1, to see if he will need any procedure on his dislocated thumb or if he will be able to play with a cast on his thumb.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Williams is the cornerstone of their line so hopefully he get good news about his thumb, as it would a big hit to the offense to miss him for any amount of time.

26. BUF - Buffalo's Thursday practice report

Source: BuffaloBills.com

Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen (elbow), QB Derek Anderson (concussion), LB Tremaine Edmunds (concussion) and DE Trent Murphy (knee) did not practice Thursday, Nov. 1. LB Lorenzo Alexander (rest) and DT Kyle Williams (rest) were limited.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Edmunds might not get cleared from concussion protocol with a short week of rest after playing on Monday night. If he's out, Jordan Howard would have a better matchup.

27. NYJ - Thursday practice report for Jets

Source: ESPNNewYork.com - Rich Cimini

New York Jets TE Neal Sterling (concussion), DT Steve McLendon (ankle), LB Frankie Luvu (neck) and LB Kevin Pierre-Louis (foot) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 1. CB Trumaine Johnson (quadriceps), WR Andre Roberts (back) and OT Kelvin Beachum (ankle, knee) were limited during practice. C Spencer Long (finger, knee), LB Jordan Jenkins (ankle), S Marcus Maye (thumb), CB Morris Claiborne (shoulder) and OG James Carpenter (shoulder) fully participated in practice.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Johnson could return this week. He has the size and speed to match up with DeVante Parker and would dampen his matchup.

28. NYJ - WR Robby Anderson sits out again

Source: ESPNNewYork.com - Rich Cimini

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson (ankle) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 1.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Anderson is unlikely to return for the matchup in Miami and even if he does, he would likely see a lot of Xavien Howard.

29. NYJ - WR Quincy Enunwa does not practice

Source: ESPNNewYork.com - Rich Cimini

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa (ankle) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 1.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jermaine Kearse should be getting more targets while Enunwa and Robby Anderson are out, but he has failed to deliver for two weeks with increased opportunity.

30. TB - WR Mike Evans back on practice field

Source: Buccaneers.com - Scott Smith

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans (knee) returned to practice Thursday, Nov. 1, after sitting out the previous day to rest his injured knee.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Evans should have a higher ceiling with Ryan Fitzpatrick back at quarterback. He'll see a lot of James Bradberry Sunady.

31. BAL - ILB C.J. Mosley remains out for Ravens

Source: The Athletic - Jeff Zrebiec

Baltimore Ravens LB C.J. Mosley (thigh) missed a second straight day of practice Thursday, Nov. 1, with a thigh injury.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Mosley had a rough Week 8 and perhaps this injury was part of the reason why. If he can't go, James Conner and Vance McDonald's matchups get better this week.

32. BAL - RB Alex Collins misses Thursday practice

Source: The Athletic - Jeff Zrebiec

Baltimore Ravens RB Alex Collins (foot) missed practice Thursday, Nov. 1, with a foot injury.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Collins was limited yesterday, so this could be a bad sign. Ty Montgomery just joined the team and they also have power runner Gus Edwards on the roster, but Buck Allen would likely get the majority of work against the Steelers if Collins can't go.

33. NE - WR Julian Edelman back on the field

Source: Boston Herald - Kevin Duffy

New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman (ankle, illness) returned to practice Thursday, Nov. 1, after sitting out the previous day.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Edelman should be in line for a big night on Sunday facing one of the better matchups in the Green Bay secondary from the slot.

34. MIA - WR Kenny Stills remains sidelined

Source: ESPN.com - Cameron Wolfe

Miami Dolphins WR Kenny Stills (groin) remained out of practice Thursday, Nov. 1, as he recovers from a groin injury.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

DeVante Parker should get another start this week and he might be worth a look in deep leagues against a depleted Jets secondary.
