Howdy Folks,

Good Saturday to you. We've got some News and Notes so let's get to it.

1. CLE - Time is now for RB Nick Chubb in Cleveland

Source: ESPN.com - Pat McManamon

Cleveland Browns RB Nick Chubb is in line for more carries and total touches following the trade of RB Carlos Hyde to the Jacksonville Jaguars. The rookie is expected to be the starting back while getting a bulk of the carries.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Chubb might not be a league winner but on any given Sunday he has the chance to be a week winner with his explosiveness and the Browns commitment to the run.

2. OAK - RB Marshawn Lynch out at least a month

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Oakland Raiders RB Marshawn Lynch (groin) is expected to miss at least one month due to a groin injury after undergoing an MRI earlier in the week.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Doug Martin is a limited ceiling option that is the better pickup in nonPPR leagues, but Jalen Richard could expand on a solid PPR profile fueled by poor play that puts Oakland behind in the second half. Richard is probably the better pickup in .5 PPR leagues too.

3. JAX - Jacksonville lands RB Carlos Hyde

Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero

Cleveland Browns RB Carlos Hyde was traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars in exchange for a fifth-round pick Friday, Oct. 19.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hyde will be in a committee with TJ Yeldon until Leonard Fournette is ready, and perhaps Week 10 after the bye is too optimistic in light of this move. Hyde was possibly going to lose work in Cleveland, so this at worst a lateral move for his value. Yeldon loses value, but maybe not this weekend, as it's not clear whether Hyde will play. Nick Chubb becomes an every week upside RB2 play on this news, while Duke Johnson is also a winner with more snaps and touches possibly coming his way.

4. ARI - Mike McCoy fired

Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero

Arizona Cardinals offensive coordinator Mike McCoy was fired Friday, Oct. 19.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

David Johnson teams can rejoice as there is hope that he'll be used the way he was during the Bruce Arians era as new offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich was on Arians staff last year. This will be one of the worst offenses in the league by any measure even with a more rationally utilized Johnson.

5. WAS - WR Jamison Crowder likely out a bit longer

Source: ESPN.com - John Keim

Washington Redskins WR Jamison Crowder (ankle) has been ruled out for Week 7 versus the Dallas Cowboys and 'could miss a little time,' according to head coach Jay Gruden.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Washington gets the Giants next week, and it doesn't sound like Crowder will be ready for that matchup either. Look for Vernon Davis to get more targets as Washington doesn't really have a clear backup to Crowder's role.

6. MIN - RB Dalvin Cook to sit again in Week 7

Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Josh Alper

Minnesota Vikings RB Dalvin Cook (hamstring) has been ruled out for Week 7 against the New York Jets.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Latavius Murray gets another start after he and the Vikings line shredded the Cardinals last week. Volume alone makes him worth an RB2 look this week.

7. DAL - No surgery for WR Tavon Austin

Source: ESPNDallas.com - Todd Archer

Dallas Cowboys WR Tavon Austin (groin) will not undergo groin surgery at this time but is expected to be sidelined for several weeks.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fantasy GMs aren't going to rely on anyone from the Cowboys passing game outside of Cole Beasley as a flex play.

8. LAR - Week 7 injury report for Rams

Source: NFLCommunications.com

Los Angeles Rams WR Cooper Kupp (knee) did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 19, and has been ruled out for Week 7. DT Michael Brockers (shoulder), LB Matt Longacre (back), WR Josh Reynolds (hand), OG Rodger Saffold (knee), C John Sullivan (non-injury) and OT Andrew Whitworth (non-injury) fully participated in practice and are not on the injury report.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Kupp is out and that means Josh Reynolds should get more playing time. After a down week in the snow and cold against the Broncos last week, we expect the Rams passing attack to get back on track. Reynolds could produce enough for a start as a 'what the heck' flex for Fantasy GMs.

9. MIA - WR DeVante Parker uncertain about playing time

Source: The Miami Herald - Barry Jackson

Miami Dolphins WR DeVante Parker (quadriceps) said he will be available for the Week 7 game but is not sure how much playing time he will be able to handle because of the injury.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Parker isn't going to be much of a fantasy factor at his current spot on the Dolphins depth chart. He's buried behind guys like Danny Amendola, Albert Wilson and Kenny Stills.

10. OAK - RB Jalen Richard likely to see bump in usage

Source: RaidersWire - Marcus Mosher

Oakland Raiders RB Jalen Richard is expected to see a bump in workload with RB Marshawn Lynch (groin) sidelined. Richard has just three touches when the team is leading, and 39 touches when tied or trailing, but that is expected to change with just RB Doug Martin standing in the way.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

That would be the expected move with Lynch down for a month or so. Martin will be the Raiders lead back but they should make room in the gameplan to get Richard involved as a receiver out of the backfield.

11. OAK - RB Doug Martin will be the lead back

Source: Las Vegas Review-Journal - Michael Gehlken

Oakland Raiders RB Doug Martin is expected to handle the bulk of the carries with RB Marshawn Lynch (groin) sidelined for at least a month. Head coach Jon Gruden is reportedly high on Martin, and believes he is ready for increased involvement.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Martin still has a limited upside because of the Raiders inability to stay in games as of late. He certainly won't have more success than Marshawn Lynch and is probably just depth and not someone who will greatly improve your fantasy team's backfield.

12. WAS - RB Chris Thompson questionable for Week 7

Source: Redskins.com

Washington Redskins RB Chris Thompson (ribs, knee) was limited in practice for a third straight day Friday, Oct. 19 and he is considered questionable for Week 7 against the Dallas Cowboys.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Thompson didn't play last week despite some practice participation, so this feels like a game-time decision. He could be in line for a huge target load if he's active with Washington down to their #3-5 wide receivers this week.

13. SF - WR Marquise Goodwin not on injury report

Source: 49ers.com

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (hamstring, quadriceps) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 19, and is not on the injury report for Week 7.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Goodwin's upside was on display on Monday night. It will be difficult to leave him on the bench in start three wide receiver leagues.

14. SF - RB Matt Breida ready to play

Source: 49ers.com

San Francisco 49ers RB Matt Breida (ankle, shoulder) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 19, and is not on the injury report for Week 7.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Breida has been able to bounce back quickly from injuries and play well through them. He's an upside flex or solid RB2 against the Rams this weekend.

15. WAS - RB Adrian Peterson questionable for Week 7

Source: Redskins.com

Washington Redskins RB Adrian Peterson (ankle, shoulder) was limited in practice again on Friday, Oct. 19 and he is listed as questionable for Week 7 against the Dallas Cowboys.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Peterson should be able to play but he probably won't find much room to run against a Cowboys front seven that is getting healthy.

16. WAS - Week 7 injury report for Washington

Source: Redskins.com

Washington Redskins WR Jamison Crowder (ankle) and WR Paul Richardson (shoulder, knee) did not practice Friday, Oct. 19. Crowder has been ruled out for Week 7 against the Dallas Cowboys, while Richardson is listed as doubtful. S Troy Apke (hamstring) is also considered doubtful after a limited practice, while CB Quinton Dunbar (shin), CB Danny Johnson (forearm), OG Shawn Lauvao (calf), RB Adrian Peterson (ankle, shoulder) and RB Chris Thompson (rib, knee) were limited and are questionable. LB Zach Brown (oblique, shin), WR Josh Doctson (heel), LB Ryan Kerrigan (chest), QB Colt McCoy (thumb), OG Brandon Scherff (knee) and OT Trent Williams (knee) practiced in full and were removed from the injury report.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Maurice Harris, Josh Doctson, and Brian Quick will be the Washington wide receivers this week in a tough matchup against the Cowboys.

17. ATL - WR Calvin Ridley a limited participant

Source: ESPN.com - Vaughn McClure

Atlanta Falcons WR Calvin Ridley (ankle) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 19.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This puts Ridley on track to return for Monday night. He was red hot before his injury and should face a good matchup against the Giants secondary this week.

18. CIN - TE C.J. Uzomah ready for Sunday night

Source: Bengals.com

Cincinnati Bengals TE C.J. Uzomah (shoulder) practiced in full Friday, Oct. 19 after a pair of limited practices earlier in the week, and he has been removed from the injury report ahead of the Week 7 game with the Kansas City Chiefs.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Uzomah is an ideal streamer play against the Chiefs this weekend. He should be heavily targeted in a high-scoring game.

19. ATL - WR Mohamed Sanu sidelined

Source: ESPN.com - Vaughn McClure

Atlanta Falcons WR Mohamed Sanu (hip) did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 19.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Sanu is looking less likely to play than Calvin Ridley, who did get back to practice in a limited fashion today. Justin Hardy might get more work in his absence, but if Sanu is out, it likely just means more targets for Jones and if he is active, Ridley.

20. NE - TE Rob Gronkowski questionable for Week 7

Source: Patriots.com

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle, back) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 19, and is listed as questionable for Week 7.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We expect Gronkowski to play and he is still a must-start despite his touchdown drought.

21. CHI - Week 7 injury report for Chicago

Source: ChicagoBears.com

Chicago Bears DB Marcus Cooper (hamstring) was limited in practice for a second straight day Friday, Oct. 19, and is listed as doubtful for Week 7 against the New England Patriots. CB Bryce Callahan (ankle) did not participate in practice Friday and is listed as questionable. WR Allen Robinson (groin) was limited in practice Friday and is also listed as questionable. OG Kyle long (non-injury) did not participate in practice Friday but no longer appears on injury report. LB Khalil Mack (ankle) was limited in practice Friday but has also been removed from the injury report. CB Prince Amukamara (hamstring) and OG Eric Kush (neck) participated fully in practice Friday and no longer appear on the injury report.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Mack being removed from the injury report is a decent sign but he looked very limited on the field last week. The Patriots offense might not be slowed down very much this weekend.

22. NE - WR Julian Edelman listed as questionable

Source: Patriots.com

New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman (heel) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 19, and is listed as questionable for Week 7.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Edelman should play but he only has modest upside in a stocked Patriots offense.

23. KC - Week 7 injury report for Kansas City

Source: KCChiefs.com

Kansas City Chiefs CB Eric Berry (heel), LB Justin Houston (hamstring) and C Mitch Morse (concussion) did not practice Friday, Oct. 19. Berry and Morse are ruled out for the Week 7 game against the Cincinnati Bengals, while Houston is listed as doubtful. LB Tanoh Kpassagnon (ankle) was limited, while DB Eric Murray (groin) practiced in full. Both are considered questionable. WR Chris Conley (toe), OL Cameron Erving (quadriceps), LB Dee Ford (groin, hand) and LB Anthony Hitchens (groin) each practiced in full and are off the injury report.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Geno Atkins could have a big night against a Chiefs offensive line missing two starters on the interior.

24. HOU - Houston's Week 7 injury report

Source: HoustonTexans.com

Houston Texans CB Aaron Colvin (ankle), TE Ryan Griffin (illness), LB Brian Peters (ankle) and CB Shareece Wright (shoulder, hand, groin) did not practice Friday, Oct. 19, and have been ruled out for Week 7 versus the Jacksonville Jaguars. OL Zach Fulton (ankle) did not participate in practice for third straight day Friday and is listed as questionable. WR Keke Coutee (hamstring), WR Will Fuller (hip) and WR DeAndre Hopkins (foot) were limited in practice Friday but no longer appear on injury report. DE Joel Heath (knee), S Kareem Jackson (thigh), CB Johnathan Joseph (shoulder), LB Whitney Mercilus (ankle), RB Lamar Miller (chest) and QB Deshaun Watson (chest) participated fully in practice Friday and have also been removed from the injury report.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Colvin being out should make Dede Westbrook's matchup even better this week, but he's only a what the heck flex because you are relying on Blake Bortles.

25. TB - Week 7 injury report for Bucs

Source: Buccaneers.com

Tampa Bay Buccaneers DE Vinny Curry (ankle) and DT Gerald McCoy (calf) did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 19, and have been ruled out for Week 7. CB Carlton Davis (back) and S Jordan Whitehead (hamstring) fully participated in practice but are listed as questionable. OT Demar Dotson (knee, shoulder) fully participated in practice and is not on the injury report.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Bucs defense was already maybe the worst in the league against the pass, now they will be missing their best defensive lineman.

26. IND - Week 7 injury report for Indianapolis

Source: Colts.com

Indianapolis Colts DL Denico Autry (hamstring), TE Jack Doyle (hip), WR Ryan Grant (ankle) and RB Robert Turbin (shoulder) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 7 versus the Buffalo Bills. S Clayton Geathers (concussion, neck) was limited in practice Friday, Oct. 19, but has also been ruled out. CB Arthur Maulet (hip) and TE Erik Swoope (knee) were also limited in practice Friday but have been listed as questionable. CB Christopher Milton (hamstring) participated fully in practice Friday and is also listed as questionable. LB Darius Leonard (ankle) did not practice Friday but no longer appears on injury report. OL Denzelle Good (non-injury), WR T.Y. Hilton (chest, hamstring), DT Margus Hunt (knee) and DT Al Woods (rest) fully participated in practice Friday and have also been removed from the injury report.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hilton is good to go in your lineup this week and he should dominate targets against the Bills. Chester Rogers will be the #2 receiver but the whole offense faces a tough matchup against the Bills.

27. MIA - WR DeVante Parker listed as questionable

Source: The Miami Herald - Armando Salguero

Miami Dolphins WR DeVante Parker (quadriceps) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 19, but is listed as questionable for Week 7.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's clear that Parker is playing a small role in the Dolphins offense no matter how healthy he is. Parker should only be on your roster if you are in a dynasty league.

28. DEN - RB Royce Freeman day-to-day

Source: The Athletic - Nicki Jhabvala

Updating a previous report, Denver Broncos RB Royce Freeman (ankle) is considered day-to-day because of the ankle injury he suffered in the Week 7 game, according to head coach Vance Joseph.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Freeman has a long week of rest before facing Kansas City next week, but he appears to be behind Philip Lindsay in the backfield in terms of touches and is probably only matchup flex depth and emergency play material anyway. He's not an essential hold in short bench leagues.

29. NYJ - NY Jets' injury report for Week 7

Source: NewYorkJets.com

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa (ankle), S Marcus Maye (thumb) and CB Buster Skrine (concussion) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 7 against the Minnesota Vikings. CB Trumaine Johnson (quad), LB Kevin Pierre-Louis (foot) and WR Terrelle Pryor (groin) did not practice Friday, Oct. 19, and are listed as doubtful. RB Isaiah Crowell (foot) was limited in practice Friday and is listed as questionable. S Jamal Adams (ankle), WR Robby Anderson (hamstring), T Kelvin Beachum (foot), LB Brandon Copeland (ankle), QB Sam Darnold (elbow), C Spencer Long (knee, finger), S Doug Middleton (hamstring), WR Charone Peake (hamstring), WR Andre Roberts (foot, ankle), DL Nathan Shepherd (shoulder) and DL Leonard Williams (back) all participated fully in practice Friday and have been removed from the injury report.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jermaine Kearse will fill in for Enunwa in the slot and Charone Peake and Andre Roberts will be pressed into duty with the team shorthanded at the position. Rookie tight end Chris Herndon could see more targets.

30. JAX - Jacksonville's injury report for Week 7

Source: Jaguars.com

Jacksonville Jaguars CB D.J. Hayden (toe) and TE James O'Shaughnessy (hip) did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 19, and have been ruled out for Week 7 against the Houston Texans. DL Calais Campbell (ankle ), CB Tre Herndon (hamstring) and OL Will Richardson (knee) returned to full practice Friday and are listed as questionable. C Brandon Linder (knee), OG Andrew Norwell (foot), OL Jermey Parnell (knee) and RB T.J. Yeldon (foot, ankle) also participated fully in practice Friday and no longer appear on the injury report.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Jaguars have lost three tight ends already this year. They should run a lot of three wide receiver sets against the Texans this week.

31. DET - RB Theo Riddick absent again from practice Friday

Source: DetroitLions.com - Tim Twentyman

Detroit Lions RB Theo Riddick (knee) did not practice for a third straight day Friday, Oct. 19.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Kerryon Johnson could see more passing game work to raise his floor while his ceiling is still being lowered by usage, which could change coming out of the bye. Ameer Abdullah should also get some snaps and touches this week.
