Howdy Folks,

1. CIN - RB Giovani Bernard likely to miss 2-4 weeks

Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero

Updating a previous report, Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard (knee) has been diagnosed with an MCL sprain and is expected to be out two to four weeks, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Joe Mixon is back for the Bengals this week and set for a RB1 workload. Behind Mixon, the Bengals have rookie Mark Walton (a favorite of ours in deep dynasty leagues) and Thomas Rawls.

2. MIN - RB Dalvin Cook questionable

Source: Vikings.com

Minnesota Vikings RB Dalvin Cook (hamstring) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 5, and is listed as questionable for Week 5.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Vikings have a huge game against the Eagles on Sunday. Cook may not be able to go and we may not know until right before game time. Fantasy GMs should consider Latavius Murray a RB3 or flex play if he gets the start on Sunday.

3. ATL - RB Devonta Freeman not on injury report

Source: ESPN.com - Vaughn McClure

Atlanta Falcons RB Devonta Freeman (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 5, and is not on the injury report for Week 5.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Freeman is on track to return this week. In a potential high-scoring game against the Steelers, Fantasy GMs should trust him as a RB2 or flex play with upside.

4. CIN - RB Joe Mixon not on Week 5 injury report

Source: ESPN.com - Katherine Terrell

Cincinnati Bengals RB Joe Mixon (knee) practiced fully Friday, Oct. 5, and will not appear on the team's Week 5 injury report.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Mixon is back in action for the Bengals offense this week. We like him as a RB1 against the Dolphins on Sunday.

5. DEN - Denver rookie RB primed for more work?

Source: The Athletic - Nicki Jhabvala

Denver Broncos RBs Royce Freeman and Phillip Lindsay appear to be in line for more touches moving forward after offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave noted it was time to 'take the training wheels off' both players.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Freeman is a powerful runner who could get double the workload he's gotten this year. He's averaging 5.0 yards per carry so far this year and has three rushing touchdowns in four games. We'd love to see the Broncos use him more...especially because Case Keenum is struggling so much. DFS players should like him as a GPP option and season long Fantasy GMs should consider him a flex play with upside.

6. DAL - Dallas unlikely to re-sign WR Dez Bryant

Source: The Dallas Morning News - Jon Machota

Free-agent WR Dez Bryant (Cowboys) is not an option for the Dallas Cowboys at this time, according to owner/general manager Jerry Jones.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bryant has been talking about signing with 'someone' soon...but that was a couple of weeks ago. Recent reports speculated a return to Dallas would be in order, but it doesn't seem like Jones is ready to sign Bryant back at this time. Bryant has been looking for a new team since the Cowboys released him back in mid-April.

7. LAR - RB Todd Gurley ready to play

Source: Sports Radio KJR - Curtis Crabtree

Los Angeles Rams RB Todd Gurley (non-injury) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 5, and is not on the injury report for Week 5.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Gurley is ready to play and Fantasy GMs are ready to start him every week as an RB1.

8. SEA - WR Doug Baldwin a full participant

Source: Seahawks.com - John Boyle

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 5, and is not on the injury report for Week 5.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It could be a tough time for the Seattle offense against the Rams in Week 5. We've got Baldwin as a low-end WR2 for Fantasy GMs this week due to the matchup.

9. SEA - RB Chris Carson on track to play

Source: Seahawks.com - John Boyle

Seattle Seahawks RB Chris Carson (hip) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 5, and is not on the injury report for Week 5.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Pete Carroll has indicated this could be a three-headed backfield after the emergence of Mike Davis last week. Carson could be the lead back again but we should still see 2018 first-round pick Rashaad Penny mixed in with Davis.

10. SEA - QB Russell Wilson ready to play

Source: Seahawks.com - John Boyle

Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson (hamstring) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 5, and is not on the injury report for Week 5.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Against the Rams on Sunday, Wilson could be running for his life most of the game. We have him as a low-end QB1 in Week 5.

11. GB - TE Jimmy Graham ready to play

Source: ESPN.com - Rob Demovsky

Green Bay Packers TE Jimmy Graham (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 5, and is not on the injury report for Week 5. The Packers did not hold a practice Friday, so his practice participation is an estimation.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

With a banged up group of WRs, Aaron Rodgers might turn to Graham more. He's already a TE1 for Fantasy GMs and may see a few more targets thrown his way in Week 5.

12. GB - QB Aaron Rodgers not on the injury report

Source: ESPN.com - Rob Demovsky

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 5, and is not on the injury report for Week 5. The Packers did not hold a practice Friday, so his practice participation is an estimation.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Rodgers has thrown eight touchdowns the last two times he faced the Lions...now that was in 2016 but the point is he knows his divisional opponent well. With a banged up group of WRs, Rodgers may have to go to unproven targets often. Fantasy GMs may have a better option...which sounds odd considering this is Aaron Rodgers...but that's the nature of the quarterback in 2018. We've got Rodgers as a low-end QB1 in Week 5.

13. GB - Questionable tag for WR Davante Adams

Source: ESPN.com - Rob Demovsky

Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams (calf) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 5, and is listed as questionable for Week 5. The Packers did not hold a practice Friday, so his practice participation is an estimation.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Adams is a top-12 WR for Fantasy GMs in Week 5...even though he's banged up and may be drawing Lions CB Darius Slay. This injury is a bit of a concern but it looks like Adams is on track to play.

14. WAS - RB Adrian Peterson limited in practice

Source: NBC Sports Washington - Rich Tandler

Washington Redskins RB Adrian Peterson (ankle) was listed as a limited participant in practice Friday, Oct. 5.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

If Washington can keep the game close against the Saints, Peterson should have a large role against his former team. If Washington falls behind, they'll use receiving back Chris Thompson more. We like Peterson as a low-end RB2 or flex option for Fantasy GMs in Week 5.

15. MIA - Nick O'Leary added to active roster

Source: Palm Beach Post - Joe Schad

Miami Dolphins practice squad TE Nick O'Leary was signed to the 53-man roster Friday, Oct. 5. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The team also placed QB Luke Falk (wrist) on the Reserve/Injured list because of a fractured left wrist, according to a source.

16. HOU - Buddy Howell might be promoted

Source: Houston Chronicle - Aaron Wilson

Houston Texans RB Buddy Howell was the practice squad player of the week and he might be promoted from the practice squad to the active roster if RB Lamar Miller (chest) cannot play in Week 5 against the Dallas Cowboys.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Miller is considered to be a game-time decision for the Texans on Sunday. Fantasy GMs should have other options at the ready, including Alfred Blue who could have flex value if he's starting for the Texans against the Cowboys on Sunday.

17. HOU - RB Alfred Blue might start in Week 5

Source: Houston Chronicle - Aaron Wilson

Houston Texans RB Alfred Blue might draw the start against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 5 with RB Lamar Miller (chest) likely to be a game-time decision.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Blue might have flex value if he's starting for the Texans on Sunday. Miller may be a late scratch for the Texans so don't just lock him into your lineup. Stay tuned.

18. HOU - WR DeAndre Hopkins off injury report

Source: HoustonTexans.com

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins (thumb, ankle, hamstring) practiced on a limited basis Friday, Oct. 5 and he was lifted from the injury report ahead of the Week 5 game against the Dallas Cowboys.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Great news for Fantasy GMs who can breathe a sigh of relief. Hopkins has been playing through this multitude of injuries but he's been performing well. Start him as a WR1 (as per usual) in Week 5.

19. HOU - WR Will Fuller uncertain for SNF

Source: HoustonTexans.com

Houston Texans WR Will Fuller (hamstring) practiced on a limited basis for the third consecutive day Friday, Oct. 5 and he is listed as questionable for the Week 5 game against the Dallas Cowboys.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Keep an eye on this situation. Fuller is a touchdown scoring machine with QB Deshaun Watson but he may not be available. That makes Keke Coutee a great flex with upside, and certainly, DFS players should be pegging Coutee for a roster spot at a good price. Although make sure to check Coutee's status as well as he's been limited in practice this week.

20. HOU - WR Keke Coutee questionable for Week 5

Source: HoustonTexans.com

Houston Texans WR Keke Coutee (hamstring) was a limited participant in practice for a third straight day Friday, Oct. 5 and he is listed as questionable for Week 5 against the Dallas Cowboys.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

If Coutee is able to go, he'd likely be in line for a big role if Will Fuller can't play. Throw him in as a flex play with upside. If Fuller does play, Coutee would be more of a darling 'what the heck' flex for Fantasy GMs.

21. DAL - RB Ezekiel Elliott on track to play

Source: HoustonTexans.com

Dallas Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 5, and is not on the injury report for Week 5.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Elliott was a full participant this week, so no worries here. He's the centerpiece of the Cowboys offense and a RB1 for Fantasy GMs.

22. KC - Questionable tag for WR Sammy Watkins

Source: Chiefs.com

Kansas City Chiefs WR Sammy Watkins (hamstring) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 5, and is listed as questionable for Week 5.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fantasy GMs should have other options. Watkins would help the Chiefs offense in a tough matchup against the Jaguars in Week 5.

23. PIT - QB Ben Roethlisberger on track to play

Source: Steelers.com - Teresa Varley

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger (non-injury) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 5, and is not on the injury report for Week 5.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Everyone is expecting a flood of points in the Falcons/Steelers game...and for good reason as neither team plays great defense. Fantasy GMs can look at Roethlisberger as a QB1 in Week 5.

24. CIN - TE Tyler Eifert lands on IR

Source: Bengals.com

Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Eifert (ankle) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Friday, Oct. 5.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Eifert suffered a season-ending ankle injury in Week 4. It's bad news for him and the Bengals passing game because we all know Eifert can be an impact player when healthy. Having played 10 games over the last two seasons, Eifert hits free agency in 2019 with major injury questions having never played a full 16-game season. The Bengals turn to Tyler Kroft and C.J. Uzomah.
