1. PHI - RB Jay Ajayi, RB Darren Sproles ruled out Week 3

Source: Sirius XM NFL Radio - Adam Caplan

Updating previous reports, Philadelphia Eagles RB Jay Ajayi (back) and Darren Sproles (hamstring) were ruled out Friday, Sept. 21, for the Week 3 game against the Indianapolis Colts.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Corey Clement is also questionable, but expected to play and the best play in this backfield against the Colts. Practice squad call-up Josh Adams will get work running between the tackles and Wendell Smallwood should also see increased snaps this week.

2. MIN - RB Dalvin Cook ruled out Week 3

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Minnesota Vikings RB Dalvin Cook (hamstring) on Friday, Sept. 21, was ruled out of the Week 3 game against the Buffalo Bills.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Latavius Murray will get the start and he's a must play in this juicy matchup. SPARQ freak and preseason star Mike Boone should also get work backing up Murray.

3. SEA - WR Doug Baldwin ruled out

Source: Seahawks.com - John Boyle

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (knee) did not practice Friday, Sept. 21, and will not play in Week 3.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Baldwin doesn't seem close to a Week 4 return either. If he's not ready for Week 5, the team could hold him out until their Week 7 bye.

4. SF - Questionable tag for WR Marquise Goodwin

Source: 49ers.com

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (quadriceps) was limited during practice Friday, Sept. 21, and is listed as questionable for Week 3.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Goodwin is a what the heck flex if he does play because of the matchup against the Chiefs, but he'll hurt the appeal of Dante Pettis in the same role. If Goodwin can't go, Pettis should be an excellent upside play in DFS lineups and as a WR3/Flex.

5. GB - QB Aaron Rodgers questionable for Week 3

Source: Packers.com

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (knee) did not participate in practice Friday, Sept. 21, and is listed as questionable for Week 3.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Rodgers should practice tomorrow and is fully expected to play at Washington. Unless we hear something surprising Sunday morning, play your Packers as you normally would.

6. PHI - WR Alshon Jeffery questionable

Source: PhiladelphiaEagles.com

Philadelphia Eagles WR Alshon Jeffery (shoulder) was limited during practice Friday, Sept. 21, and is listed as questionable for Week 3.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jeffery is unlikely to return this week, but next week at Tennessee is possible. Don't drop him yet and if he's out there on the waiver wire, pick Jeffery up.

7. PHI - RB Corey Clement listed as questionable

Source: PhiladelphiaEagles.com

Philadelphia Eagles RB Corey Clement (quadriceps) was limited during practice Friday, Sept. 21, and is listed as questionable for Week 3.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Check back for inactives on Sunday morning if you are playing Clement. He is expected to play and worth a flex start if he is active, but this listing casts at least a little shadow on his outlook this week.

8. JAX - RB Leonard Fournette limited again

Source: Jaguars.com

Updating a previous report, Jacksonville Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette (hamstring) was limited during practice Friday, Sept. 21, and is listed as questionable for Week 3.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fournette is still expected to go on Sunday and is a risky, but high upside RB1 play against the Titans.

9. TEN - RB Derrick Henry practices fully Friday

Source: TitansOnline.com - Jim Wyatt

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry (back) returned to full practice Friday, Sept. 21, after being limited in each of the first two sessions of the week.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Henry should still be on your bench against the Jaguars this week.

10. ARI - QB Josh Rosen promotion not imminent

Source: AZCardinals.com - Darren Urban

Arizona Cardinals QB Josh Rosen will have his opportunity to play 'when the time is right,' according to general manager Steve Keim.'When the time is right, Josh will have his opportunity. At the same time, you never know how a guy is going to be affected. ... I don't think there is any exact science to (when to starting a rookie quarterback). But I think there is certainly a feeling of knowing when the time is right. ... He's got to be ready regardless (of whether Sam Bradford gets injured or not),' Keim told the team website.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

After seeing what Baker Mayfield did for the Browns offense last night, Keim should be open to the idea of Rosen starting sooner than later. It is certainly what fantasy teams that play David Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald are hoping for this year.

11. BUF - Still no contact for RB LeSean McCoy

Source: WKBW.com - Joe Buscaglia

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy (ribs) wore a non-contact jersey for the third straight day during practice Friday, Sept. 21.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Even if McCoy is active, you won't want to start him at Minnesota this week. None of his backups are viable if McCoy can't play, either.

12. NE - TE Rob Gronkowski's ankle not serious

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle) isn't believed to have a concerning ankle injury.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Check back Sunday morning, although Gronkowski plays in a night game Sunday. Unless we hear something different, he's safe to start in Week 3.

13. SEA - S Earl Thomas's status uncertain

Source: The Dallas Morning News - Jori Epstein

Updating a previous report, Seattle Seahawks FS Earl Thomas (personal) missed practice Friday, Sept. 21, due to personal issues, according to head coach Pete Carroll. His availability for Week 3 is unclear at this point.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Thomas isn't as crucial against a toothless Cowboys passing game, but this is a curious absence. We'll be watching this to see if there's anything to the possibility that Thomas is being traded.

14. NE - TE Jacob Hollister may miss a few weeks

Source: ESPNBoston.com - Mike Reiss

New England Patriots TE Jacob Hollister (chest) may miss a few weeks because of a chest injury he suffered during practice but is not dealing with a long-term injury.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hollister's injury could result in a few more targets for Rob Gronkowski or Chris Hogan when he's lined up in the slot this week.

15. WAS - WR Paul Richardson questionable for Week 3

Source: Redskins.com

Washington Redskins WR Paul Richardson (shoulder, knee) practiced on a limited basis Friday, Sept. 21 and he is listed as questionable for Week 3 against the Green Bay Packers.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Richardson is Washington's best downfield threat, but his status makes it tough to play him as an upside WR3/Flex against the Packers this week.

16. DAL - WR Cole Beasley questionable

Source: DallasCowboys.com

Dallas Cowboys WR Cole Beasley (ankle) was limited during practice Friday, Sept. 21, and is listed as questionable for Week 3.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Beasley has been the target leader for the Cowboys, but he's not worth a play carrying this status into an afternoon game at Seattle this week.

17. LAR - Week 3 injury report for Rams

Source: Chargers.com

Los Angeles Rams PK Greg Zuerlein (groin) did not participate in practice Friday, Sept. 21, and has been ruled out for Week 3. LB Mark Barron (ankle) did not practice and is listed as doubtful. C John Sullivan (ankle), OT Andrew Whitworth (non-injury) and DT Michael Brockers (shoulder) fully participated in practice and are not on the injury report.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Sam Ficken will handle the kicking duties for the Rams this week. Barron's absence could help Philip Rivers complete more passes in the middle of the field this week, but the Chargers don't have an obvious play at tight end.

18. ARI - WR Larry Fitzgerald questionable for Week 3

Source: AZCardinals.com

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (hamstring) was limited in practice again on Friday, Sept. 21 and he is listed as questionable for Week 3 against the Chicago Bears.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Cardinals offense has been so bad so far that Fitzgerald is only a desperation play against a Bears defense that should have the offensive line overmatched all afternoon.

19. DET - Week 3 injury report for Detroit

Source: DetroitLions.com

Detroit Lions OT Andrew Donnal (knee) did not participate in practice all week and has been ruled out for Week 3 against the New England Patriots. DE Ziggy Ansah (shoulder), LB Eli Harold (hip), WR Marvin Jones (ankle), OL T.J. Lang (back) and CB Darius Slay (concussion) were all limited in practice Friday, Sept. 21, and are listed as questionable. CB Jamal Agnew (shoulder) fully practiced Friday and no longer appears on the injury report. OT Taylor Decker (non-injury) did not practice Friday but was also removed from the injury report.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jones is a late week addition to the injury report, which is something to monitor because he is playing in the Sunday night game. If we don't have assurances that he will play on Sunday morning, you'll need a Sunday night or Monday night hedge to feel safe playing him this week.

20. NE - RB Sony Michel ready to roll in Week 3

Source: Patriots.com

New England Patriots RB Sony Michel (knee) practiced in full Friday, Sept. 21 and is off the injury report ahead of the Week 3 game against the Detroit Lions.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Michel got 11 touches on 13 snaps last week. He should lead the Patriots backfield in touches against a weak Lions run defense.

21. NE - Week 3 injury report for New England

Source: Patriots.com

New England Patriots TE Jacob Hollister (chest), S Patrick Chung (concussion) and DL Trey Flowers (concussion) did not practice Friday, Sept. 21. Hollister has been ruled out, while Chung and Flowers are considered doubtful for Week 3 against the Detroit Lions. OT Marcus Cannon (calf), DB Keion Crossen (hamstring), DB Nate Ebner (hip), WR Josh Gordon (hamstring) and CB Eric Rowe (groin) were limited participants and are listed as questionable. TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle), RB Sony Michel (knee) and DL Deatrich Wise Jr. (finger) practiced in full and were removed from the report.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Patriots will miss Chung and Flowers against the Lions passing game. Gordon isn't a sure thing to play and probably won't get enough snaps to be a safe start if he does, but we'll be watching every snap he gets very closely.

22. NO - Week 3 injury report for New Orleans

Source: NewOrleansSaints.com

New Orleans Saints DT Tyeler Davison (foot) and LB Manti Te'o (knee) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 3 versus the Atlanta Falcons. OG Andrus Peat (ankele), OT Terron Armstead (knee) and WR Ted Ginn Jr. (knee) were limited in practice for a third straight day Friday, Sept. 21, but no longer appear on the injury report.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Ginn is a good boom/bust WR3/Flex against the Falcons this week. He was open for a long score last week, but Drew Brees uncharacteristically missed him.

23. TEN - Tennessee's Week 3 injury report

Source: TitansOnline.com

Tennessee Titans RB David Fluellen (groin) and OT Dennis Kelly (illness) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 3 versus the Jacksonville Jaguars. LB Kamalei Correa (back) did not participate in practice for a second straight day Friday, Sept. 21, and is listed as questionable. S Kendrick Lewis (foot) logged a full practice Friday, while QB Marcus Mariota (elbow) was limited and OT Jack Conklin (knee) was held out; all three have been listed as questionable. RB Derrick Henry (back), OT Taylor Lewan (concussion) and TE Luke Stocker (calf) practiced fully Friday and no longer appear on the injury report.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Conklin could return and give the Titans the first game with both starting tackles this year. Mariota will be a game-time decision and might not finish the game if he starts because of a tricky nerve issue in his throwing arm.

24. JAX - TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins off injury list

Source: Jaguars.com

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins (core) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 21, and is not on the injury report for Week 3.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Seferian-Jenkins is on the borderline of TE1 territory against the Titans this week with Blake Bortles playing maybe the best game of his career last week.

25. IND - Week 3 injury report for Indianapolis

Source: Colts.com

Indianapolis Colts TE Denico Autry (ankle), OT Anthony Castonzo (hamstring), DE Hassan Ridgeway (calf) and CB Quincy Wilson (concussion) were unable to participate in practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 3 versus the Philadelphia Eagles. CB Christopher Milton (concussion) fully practiced for a second straight day Friday, Sept. 21, and is listed as questionable. S Clayton Geathers did not participate in practice Friday and is also listed as possible. WR T.Y. Hilton (quad), OL Denzelle Good (knee, wrist) and RB Christine Michael (illness) practiced in full Friday and have been taken off the injury report.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Colts will miss Castonzo against the Eagles impressive array of pass rushers. Hilton is good to go after resting his quad injury earlier in the week.

26. OAK - WR Amari Cooper to get shadowed in Week 3

Source: The Miami Herald - Adam H. Beasley

Oakland Raiders WR Amari Cooper will likely be followed across the formation by Miami Dolphins CB Xavien Howard in Week, according to Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Cooper's outlook is dimmed by this development, but he can still get enough targets to be worth a boom/bust WR3/Flex start. If Howard is on his game, it could be a good game for Jordy Nelson or Jared Cook this week.

27. MIN - DE Everson Griffen won't play Week 3

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Minnesota Vikings DE Everson Griffen (knee) has been ruled out of the Week 3 game against the Buffalo Bills.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Vikings don't need Griffen with their deep defensive line and a not-too-imposing matchup against Josh Allen.

28. IND - TE Jack Doyle could miss multiple weeks?

Source: CNHI Sports Indiana - George Bremer

Indianapolis Colts TE Jack Doyle (hip) was labeled 'week-to-week' by head coach Frank Reich during his presser on Friday, Sept. 21.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Doyle wasn't lighting up the box score before he got hurt, so he's not an essential hold in light of this news.

29. CAR - Panthers rule out trio for Week 3

Source: ESPN.com - David Newton

Carolina Panthers OG Trai Turner (concussion), S Da'Norris Searcy (concussion) and WR Curtis Samuel (illness) were ruled out Friday, Sept. 21, for the Week 3 game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Panthers will be without three starters on the offensive line against the Bengals this week.

30. DAL - OLB Sean Lee likely a game-time decision

Source: Fort Worth Star-Telegram - Clarence E. Hill Jr.

Dallas Cowboys LB Sean Lee's (hamstring) status for the Week 3 game in Seattle will be a game-day decision, owner Jerry Jones said Friday, Sept. 21.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Lee hasn't bee playing at his usual level early in the season, so he should be on your bench even if he is able to go Sunday afternoon.

31. IND - WR T.Y. Hilton returns to practice

Source: ESPN.com - Mike Wells

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (quadriceps) returned to practice Friday, Sept. 21, after missing the previous two days.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hilton looks like a go in the tough road matchup against the Eagles this week.

32. HOU - OLB Jadeveon Clowney's Week 3 outlook good

Source: Houston Chronicle - Aaron Wilson

Houston Texans LB Jadeveon Clowney (back) 'should be able to go on Sunday,' head coach Bill O'Brien said Friday, Sept. 21.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Giants couldn't handle the Cowboys pass rush last week, so Clowney's return is bad news for Eli Manning and the Giants offense.

33. TEN - Taylor Lewan out of protocol

Source: PaulKuharsky.com - Paul Kuharsky

Tennessee Titans OT Taylor Lewan (concussion) cleared the concussion protocol Friday, Sept. 21, and should be ready for Week 3.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This is good news for the Titans going against the Jaguars this week with their right tackle and swing tackle still out this week. Lewan will at least shore up one side of the line against the Jaguars pass rush.
