Howdy Folks,

Good Thursday to you. We've got the News and Notes so let's get to it.

1. PHI - No practice for RB Jay Ajayi

Source: Philadelphia Inquirer - Jeff McLane

Philadelphia Eagles RB Jay Ajayi (back) was not able to practice Wednesday, Sept. 19, and is considered day-to-day.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Watch to see if Ajayi can practice later in the week. If he doesn't play against the Colts on Sunday, the Eagles would turn to Corey Clement as their primary back. If that's the case, Clement makes for a great DFS play in Week 3...and for season-long Fantasy GMs we'd see him as a flex play.

2. GB - RB Aaron Jones won't start right away

Source: Green Bay Press-Gazette - Ryan Wood

Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones will play behind RBs Jamaal Williams and Ty Montgomery in his return from a two-game suspension, according to head coach Mike McCarthy.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jones is going to get eased back into the mix...at least that's what reporters around the team are speculating. That means Jamaal Williams should be the lead ball carrier for the Packers again this week. They travel to play Washington on Sunday and we see Williams as a RB3 for Fantasy GMs.

3. NE - WR Josh Gordon at practice

Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Updating an earlier report, New England Patriots WR Josh Gordon (hamstring) is at practice Wednesday, Sept. 19.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Gordon is on track to play in Week 3. With just a week of practice with his new team, Gordon should not play that much against the Lions. Consider him a boom/bust 'what the heck' flex play on the road this week.

4. JAX - RB T.J. Yeldon idle

Source: Jaguars.com - Tad Dickman

Jacksonville Jaguars RB T.J. Yeldon (ankle) is not expected to practice Wednesday, Sept. 19.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Yeldon is missing practice but Leonard Fournette should be back this week. Stay tuned to this backfield as the week goes on, but early signs indicate Fournette should start in Week 3 against the Titans.

5. JAX - RB Leonard Fournette expected to practice

Source: Jaguars.com - Tad Dickman

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette (hamstring) is expected to practice Wednesday, Sept. 19.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

After missing last week's win over the Patriots, it looks like Fournette is trending in the right direction. He'll be a RB1 for Fantasy GMs if he plays against the Titans in Week 3.

6. HOU - Limited practice for WR Will Fuller

Source: 1 No Source

Houston Texans WR Will Fuller (hamstring) was limited in practice Wednesday, Sept. 19.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fuller was able to play last week for the first time this year. He was a great play for Fantasy GMs, finishing with 8 catches for 113 yards and 1 touchdown. This week against the Giants, Fuller makes for a strong flex play. Just make sure to monitor his practice status on Friday as he continues to deal with this hamstring injury.

7. HOU - WR DeAndre Hopkins limited at practice

Source: 1 No Source

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins (ankle, thumb) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Sept. 19.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hopkins should be good to go for Week 3. Against the Giants...or anytime he plays...Hopkins is a WR1, set-it-and-forget-it starter for Fantasy GMs.

8. IND - No practice for WR T.Y. Hilton

Source: Colts.com

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (quadriceps) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 19.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's a veteran day of rest for Hilton, so we're not too concerned here. Just keep an eye on his status during the week. The Colts will need him against the Eagles on Sunday.

9. IND - RB Marlon Mack sits out Wednesday

Source: Colts.com

Indianapolis Colts RB Marlon Mack (foot, hamstring) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 19.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Mack has been held back by injuries this year for the Colts...first in training camp and now at the start of the regular season. He missed Week 1 but was in there last week against Washington, rushing 10 times for 34 yards. If Mack has to miss more time, the Colts turn to the rookie duo of Jordan Wilkins and Nyheim Hines more.

10. CIN - Full practice for TE Tyler Eifert

Source: The Cincinnati Enquirer - Paul Dehner Jr.

Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Eifert (back) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Sept. 19.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Eifert is going to be starting against the Panthers and some of you out there may be starting him. He still hasn't produced like some were expecting but considering him a TE2 with upside in Week 3 is fair.

11. NE - WR Corey Coleman back with Patriots

Source: NFL Network - Mike Garafolo

Free-agent WR Corey Coleman (Patriots) was re-signed to the New England Patriots' practice squad Wednesday, Sept. 19, according to sources.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The 2016 first-round pick of the Browns as released when the Patriots traded the Browns for Josh Gordon. Now Coleman is back with the Pats, so his dynasty stock is still alive.

12. GB - RB Aaron Jones officially activated

Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Charean Williams

Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones was activated from his two-game suspension Wednesday, Sept. 19. CB Deante Burton was released in a corresponding move.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Word is the Packers are going to ease Jones back into the lineup. That makes Jamaal Williams the lead back again...for now. As soon as Jones is up to speed, he will push Williams for the top spot in the backfield.

13. NYJ - WR Quincy Enunwa full go

Source: ClevelandBrowns.com

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa (thumb) practiced fully Wednesday, Sept. 19.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Enunwa is Sam Darnold's favorite target, and that connection should continue against the Browns on Thursday night. We like him as a deep flex play in PPR leagues.

14. CLE - WR Jarvis Landry questionable

Source: ClevelandBrowns.com

Cleveland Browns WR Jarvis Landry (knee) is questionable for Week 3 after being limited in practice all week.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Landry will be out there against the Jets on Thursday night, and he should perform like a WR2 for Fantasy GMs....just like he almost always does.

15. NO - More touches for Tre'Quan Smith?

Source: ESPN.com - Mike Triplett

New Orleans Saints WR Tre'Quan Smith will be more involved in the offense going forward if head coach Sean Payton has his way. 'We've got to find ways to get him more touches,' Payton said. 'He's handling our installation. He knows what we're doing game plan-wise. And I think he's ready to prove that.'

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Over two games in his rookie season, Smith has played just 34 snaps on offense with two targets thrown his way. He's got one catch for 18 yards in two weeks so the smallest uptick in involvement would be big because they're really not using him that much. Smith has talent, great 'my ball' mentality and the ability to make plays near the sidelines. He generated a lot of buzz during training camp but has done little in the regular season. We recommend keeping Smith on your waiver wire speed dial just in case the Saints use him more and he becomes relevant for Fantasy GMs.

16. DEN - QB Case Keenum not practicing

Source: 9News.com - Mike Klis

Denver Broncos QB Case Keenum (knee) was not present for practice Wednesday, Sept. 19, as he nurses a sore knee, according to as source. His absence was a precaution and he will be back on the practice field Thursday, Sept. 20.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The team is taking it easy on Keenum and we're expecting him to practice the rest of the week and play on Sunday. On Wednesday, Chad Kelly took first-team reps and looked good during the media portion of practice. We love Kelly in dynasty formats but he's going to have to wait for an opportunity.

17. PHI - RB Darren Sproles absent Wednesday

Source: Philadelphia Inquirer - Jeff McLane

Philadelphia Eagles RB Darren Sproles (hamstring) did not practice Wednesday, Sept. 19.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Sproles did not play in Week 2 against the Buccaneers and he's considered day-to-day with this hamstring injury. Reporters around the team speculate we won't see Sproles in Week 3 against the Colts.

18. BUF - WR Kelvin Benjamin limited

Source: BuffaloBills.com - Chris Brown

Buffalo Bills WR Kelvin Benjamin (hip) was limited in practice Wednesday, Sept. 19.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Bills travel to face a tough Vikings defense on Sunday. With rookie QB Josh Allen starting and this matchup, we are not starting Benjamin even if he was 100 percent healthy.

19. BUF - Limited practice for RB LeSean McCoy

Source: BuffaloBills.com - Chris Brown

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy (ribs) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Sept. 19.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

McCoy is going up against a tough Vikings defense in Week 3...on the road. Fantasy GMs have to find a better option for a flex play, even if McCoy plays.

20. CIN - RB Thomas Rawls signs with Bengals

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Free-agent RB Thomas Rawls (Jets) signed an undisclosed deal with the Cincinnati Bengals Wednesday, Sept. 19. RB Tra Carson was waived.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Rawls comes in to give the team veteran depth as a no3 running back while Joe Mixon (knee) misses time. Gio Bernard will start for the Bengals while Mixon is out and rookie Mark Walton should be his primary backup.
