1. NO - New Orleans may only keep two QBs

Source: Baton Rouge Advocate - Nick Underhill

The New Orleans Saints are considering keeping just two quarterbacks on their roster for the 2018 season if QB Taysom Hill is able to beat out QB Tom Savage for the No. 2 spot on the depth chart behind QB Drew Brees.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Saints didn't select a quarterback in the 2018 NFL draft, largely due to the support that Hill has within the building. Sean Payton may be his biggest supporter, and reports indicate he loves Hill's game. Undrafted out of BYU in 2017, Hill originally signed with the Packers but did not make the final roster as a rookie. The Saints scooped him up, and he's even been active for them on special teams. Hill is an athletic quarterback who often draws Tony Romo comparisons. We're going to continue monitoring him in dynasty leagues.

2. BAL - Lamar Jackson's role unclear

Source: NFL.com - Jeremy Bergman

Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson's role in the offense is a work in progress, according to head coach John Harbaugh, but Harbaugh said the staff is working on finding the best ways to put Jackson in position to make plays.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jackson is a developmental quarterback, and make no mistake he could develop into a quality starting quarterback in the pros. However, he might just be the best athlete in the league the first time he's on the field and that's tempting to get that out there in some form or fashion. We'd imagine the Ravens have a subpackage where Jackson can get on the field.

3. NE - RB Mike Gillislee on the bubble?

Source: ESPNBoston.com - Mike Reiss

New England Patriots RB Mike Gillislee is likely fighting for a roster spot in 2018 after opening last season as the team's No. 1 running back, according to Mike Reiss of ESPN.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This report has been going around the Patriots circles as minicamps and OTAs are on the horizon. The Patriots added Jeremy Hill this offseason in free agency and they selected Sony Michel in the 2018 NFL draft. Michel has the ability to be a lead back in the mold of LeSean McCoy. There may not be many touches to go around for Gillislee.

4. NO - TE Coby Fleener not long for New Orleans?

Source: The Times-Picayune - Larry Holder

New Orleans Saints TE Coby Fleener's roster spot figures to be in jeopardy after the team added Benjamin Watson in free agency as well as Deon Yelder as an undrafted free agent, according to the Larry Holder of the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We're surprised he's lasted this long. Watson was added by the Saints back in March and here we are two months later and Fleener is still on the roster. He's been a bust in New Orleans where he could never make a connection with Drew Brees the way Jimmy Graham used to.

5. LAC - QB Philip Rivers confident in teammates

Source: Chargers.com

Los Angeles Chargers QB Philip Rivers believes they have the 'pieces to do something special' in 2018.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Chargers are the team to beat in the AFC West. They have great players on both sides of the ball, and so long as they stay healthy we should see them make a run at the playoffs...perhaps (and likely) as division champs. Rivers can still perform like a top-10 fantasy quarterback in 2018.

6. TEN - QB Blaine Gabbert likely the No. 2 QB

Source: TitansOnline.com - Jim Wyatt

Tennessee Titans QB Blaine Gabbert is the favorite to be the backup quarterback in 2018 ahead of QB Luke Falk, according to Jim Wyatt of TitansOnline.com.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

That makes sense for a couple of reasons. Gabbert has plenty of starting experience and gives them a veteran presence behind starter Marcus Mariota. Plus, Falk needs time to adjust and develop. He's a smart and accurate quarterback, with a dash of Kirk Cousins to his game. However, Falk took exactly zero snaps from under center in 2017 and has to get acclimated to the pro game.

7. CLE - Three ink rookie pacts with Cleveland

Source: Akron Beacon Journal - Nate Ulrich

The Cleveland Browns signed second-round OL Austin Corbett as well as sixth-rounders WR Damion Ratley and CB Simeon Thomas to four-year undisclosed contracts on Sunday, May 6.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

At 6'3" 190 pounds, Ratley has a great size/speed combination. He's a big-play guy who can cradle in deep passes with ease. Ratley does a good job of tracking passes over his shoulder and has the speed to run away from defenders. He's raw as a route runner and will look to develop on a deep Browns depth chart at the WR position.

8. OAK - Oakland inks P.J. Hall to rookie deal

Source: Raiders.com

The Oakland Raiders signed second-round draft choice DT P.J. Hall to a four-year contract Sunday, May 6. Financial terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

A compact player at 6'1" 310 pounds, Hall can make plays on the other side of the line of scrimmage with great regularity. At Sam Houston State, Hall finished his career with 86.5 tackles for loss and 42 sacks. The Raiders could start using him as a rotational player up front as Hall would be inconsistent with his effort on film.

9. NO - WR Brandon Coleman financial details

Source: The Times-Picayune - Larry Holder

Updating a previous report, New Orleans Saints WR Brandon Coleman's one-year deal is worth a maximum of $1 million and does not guarantee his spot on the roster.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Coleman played as the slot receiver last year ahead of Willie Snead on the depth chart. Snead is gone, but Coleman moved down the depth chart with the addition of Cameron Meredith this offseason. Coleman will compete for a spot as the fourth WR on the depth chart.

10. OAK - CB Gareon Conley close to getting full clearance

Source: NBC Sports Bay Area - Scott Bair

Oakland Raiders CB Gareon Conley (shin) is close to receiving full clearance to participate in club workouts, according to head coach Jon Gruden.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

A good sign for the Raiders secondary here. Conley is running with teammates and has taken part in walkthroughs. A first-round pick in 2017, Conley only made it through two games as a rookie and played only 92 snaps. If he can stay healthy and produce as a starter that would be a huge boost for the Oakland defense.

11. DEN - Jared Veldheer expected to start

Source: The Denver Post - Kyle Newman

Denver Broncos OT Jared Veldheer is expected to be the starter at right tackle, according to head coach Vance Joseph.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The team had a hole at right tackle as they rotated through guys like Menelik Watson and Donald Stephenson over the last couple of years. Veldheer needs to regain his form from a couple of years ago, but he should be an upgrade over what Denver has been putting out there. That's good news for a team that wants to run the ball (hello Royce Freeman!) and play great defense.
