1. PIT - WR Antonio Brown able to practice

Source: DKPittsburghSports.com - Dale Lolley

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Antonio Brown (quadriceps) took part in a padded practice session Saturday, Aug. 11.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin expected Brown back after their preseason opener and here we go. Brown's injury scare shouldn't concern Fantasy GMs that much as he's still a top pick at the position and should be a first round pick in any format out there.

2. WAS - Washington may not sign running back

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Washington Redskins RB Derrius Guice (knee) is out for the season, but head coach Jay Gruden said he is satisfied with the depth behind Guice.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Rob Kelley and Samaje Perine should compete for more carries with Guice done for the year. Chris Thompson is the team's pass-catching back and he goes from being flex worthy to potentially having RB2 value for fantasy GMs in PPR leagues.

3. WAS - RB Derrius Guice goes on IR

Source: ESPN.com - John Keim

Washington Redskins RB Derrius Guice (knee) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Saturday, Aug. 11.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Terrible news for the rookie as he'll miss all of the 2018 season recovering from the knee injury suffered in Washington's preseason opener. Guice was in line to be a big player for the offense and now there's a huge role waiting for someone to step into. Chris Thompson has plenty of fantasy value due to his pass-catching role, but he goes from flex appeal in PPR leagues to perhaps RB2 levels with a larger role. Rob Kelley and Samaje Perine will compete for an early-down role in 2018.

4. BAL - WR John Brown remains standout performer

Source: ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley

Baltimore Ravens WR John Brown made three impressive catches during practice Saturday, Aug. 11, and continues to be the best receiver during training camp, in the opinion of ESPN.com's Jamison Hensley. Brown and QB Joe Flacco have shown great chemistry throughout camp.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Flacco still has a big arm and loves to stretch the defense vertically. That's exactly the skill set Brown brings to the wide receiver position. Brown is currently going undrafted in 12-team PPR leagues but keep his name on your waiver wire speed dial.

5. PHI - QB Nick Foles returns to practice

Source: ESPN.com - Tim McManus

Philadelphia Eagles QB Nick Foles (neck, back) resumed practicing Saturday, Aug. 11.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Foles doesn't need a ton of work in training camp or the preseason. The veteran has a known skill set, so the Eagles are just taking it easy on Foles as he returns to practice.

6. BUF - RB LeSean McCoy in better shape

Source: ESPN.com - Mike Rodak

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy looks 'quicker, faster and more powerful than last year,' according to head coach Sean McDermott.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

McCoy is the centerpiece of the Bills offense and certainly has RB1 ability for Fantasy GMs. However, McCoy is going in the third round of most fantasy drafts for a couple of reasons - both on and off the field. On the field, the Bills O-line is not what it once was and they have a quarterback situation that can be framed as a 'work in progress' at best. Off the field, McCoy has been the subject of domestic violence allegations. That's why his current ADP is RB16 (3.04) in 12-team PPR leagues.

7. DEN - Several Broncos sitting Saturday

Source: 9News.com - Mike Klis

Denver Broncos DT Clinton McDonald (shoulder), TE Jeff Heuerman (knee), CB Tramaine Brock (hamstring), OT Menelik Watson (pectoral) and TE Troy Fumagalli (hernia) will not play in Week 1 of the preseason Saturday, Aug. 11.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Heuerman is at the top of the depth chart (for now) at the tight end position. Jake Butt starts in his place and most think Butt will end up being the lead tight end when the regular season begins.

8. MIN - RB Dalvin Cook won't play Saturday

Source: St. Paul Pioneer Press - Chris Tomasson

Minnesota Vikings RB Dalvin Cook (knee) will not play in Week 1 of the preseason Saturday, Aug. 11, despite working out before the game.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

There was some speculation that we'd see Cook in the preseason opener but there's no need to rush him back. The team is being cautious with him and that's the best move. Fantasy GMs are ready for Cook to dominate when healthy and starting. That reflects in his current ADP (RB10, 2.01) in 12-team PPR leagues.

9. DAL - RB Ezekiel Elliott sporting brace

Source: The Athletic - Calvin Watkins

Dallas Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott (wrist) was seen wearing a brace on his left wrist Saturday, Aug. 11.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Nothing to see here really, but it is a situation we will be monitoring. Elliott was practicing with the brace and it's not considered serious.

10. LAR - TE Gerald Everett wearing sling

Source: The Orange County Register - Rich Hammond

Los Angeles Rams TE Gerald Everett (shoulder) was seen with his left arm in a sling Saturday, Aug. 11.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

With Everett a bit banged up it opens the door for Tyler Higbee to get more snaps. We'll see how long this shoulder injury keep Everett out of action.

11. WAS - WR Josh Doctson works in practice

Source: NBCSportsWashington.com - Rich Tandler

Washington Redskins WR Josh Doctson (ankle) was able to participate in most of practice Saturday, Aug. 11, and he was reportedly moving well with tape on his right foot and ankle area.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Doctson didn't flash in his second season last year. Washington went out and nabbed Paul Richardson in free agency to help the position. This season, Doctson needs to show better route-running and hands if he ever wants to play up to the potential that made him a first-round pick out of TCU in 2016.

12. TEN - WR Corey Davis able to practice

Source: TitansOnline.com - Jim Wyatt

Tennessee Titans WR Corey Davis (undisclosed) was able to practice Saturday, Aug. 11.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Davis suited up and participated in warm ups but did not appear in the preseason opener against the Green Bay Packers on Thursday. If healthy, the second-year pro is in line for a breakout season for the Titans. Keep an eye on this injury situation and take advantage of his stagnant (or falling) average draft position. Davis is currently going off the board at WR27 (6.02) in 12-team PPR leagues.

13. SEA - SEA works out CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie

Source: ESPN.com - Josina Anderson

Free-agent CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (Giants) said he worked out for the Seattle Seahawks Friday, Aug. 10, and that the Seahawks were impressed.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Giants released Rodgers-Cromartie in March in a cap-saving move. He has met with quite a few teams since that time. Even though the Seahawks were impressed, the veteran left without accepting a deal. He's still got enough in the tank to be a reliable starter and we expect Rodgers-Cromartie to sign somewhere before the start of the regular season.

14. BUF - WR Zay Jones making progress

Source: BuffaloBills.com - Chris Brown

Buffalo Bills WR Zay Jones (knee) participated in team drills during practice Friday, Aug. 10, but was still wearing a non-contact jersey.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Bills made a move to acquire Corey Coleman from the Browns and he should be in line for the no.2 job opposite of Kelvin Benjamin. When healthy, Jones should push for the no.3 spot. Last year was a disappointment and Jones rookie season had some off-field weirdness as well. We're not expecting much from him in re-draft formats and his dynasty stock doesn't hold much value either.

15. LAR - DE Aaron Donald fine details

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Los Angeles Rams DT Aaron Donald will receive a fine of $405,000 for every game he misses during his holdout.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

There are conflicting reports (and statements from team officials) about the status of contract talks with Donald. He should get a salary that pays him more than $20 million annually. The Rams have been throwing out new contracts for other players like they're handing out Halloween candy...they need to get Donald what he deserves as arguably the best defensive player in football. This situation does not seem as dire as others (Khalil Mack, Earl Thomas) around the league.

16. OAK - DE Khalil Mack fine details

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Oakland Raiders DE Khalil Mack will receive a fine of $814,000 for every game he misses during his holdout.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Mack and the Raiders have not had contract talks since February according to reports. This holdout is likely to go through the month of August with no end in sight. There have been rumors about the Raiders trading Mack but everything is unclear in this situation at this time. Stay tuned.

17. DET - RB Kerryon Johnson does well in debut

Source: ESPN.com

Detroit Lions RB Kerryon Johnson gained 67 total yards (34 rushing, 33 receiving) against the Oakland Raiders on Friday, Aug. 10. He also had a 57-yard run that was erased on a holding penalty.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's been a minute since the Lions had a running back Fantasy GMs could trust. The rookie Johnson may buck the recent trend of 'avoid Lions RBs not named Theo Riddick' in 2018. Johnson is a slashing runner who can live between the tackles if needed. He's competing for carries with veteran LeGarrette Blount. Riddick retains plenty of fantasy value as the team's pass-catching back. Johnson's ADP is currently RB30 (6.09) in 12-team PPR leagues.

18. NYJ - WR Terrelle Pryor targeting third game

Source: ESPN.com - Dianna Marie Russini

New York Jets WR Terrelle Pryor (ankle) said he won't play until he feels 100 percent healthy, and he his targeting the third preseason game for his return.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Pryor is trying to have a bounce-back season after his disappointing 2017 in Washington. He has been participating on a limited basis in training camp. We'll see if he can get into the mix when the Jets go 3-or-4 wide receiver sets in the third preseason game and the regular season.
