1. SEA - RB Eddie Lacy passes weight test

Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Seattle Seahawks RB Eddie Lacy earned $55,000 Monday, May 15, for weighing 253 pounds -- two below the limit Seattle set for him.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Just under the wire! Lacy has a weight clause in his contract with the Seahawks...and for good reason. They don't need him filling up on Italian food at The Pink Door and getting out of shape. The team wants Lacy to play around 245 pounds this year. If he can keep his weight under control, it could help with his stamina and availability - something that's been a problem for him over the last two years.

2. NYJ - QB Bryce Petty at full strength

Source: ESPNNewYork.com - Rich Cimini

New York Jets QB Bryce Petty (shoulder) said his surgically repaired left shoulder is at full strength, and he has been cleared to participate in organized team activities.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Petty is competing with Josh McCown and Christian Hackenberg to be the starting quarterback. Appearing in six games last year, Petty had only three touchdowns with seven interceptions. Unless he's made serious changes to his game, we don't see Petty beating out the veteran McCown for the top spot on the depth chart. Fantasy owners shouldn't be looking to this team for quarterback help.

3. TB - TE Cameron Brate will remain involved

Source: ESPN.com - Jenna Laine

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Cameron Brate will still remain a 'very valuable part of the offense,' which was a sentiment the team has emphasized repeatedly after drafting TE O.J. Howard.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We'll take them at their word, but fantasy owners need to realize how cramped the weapons are around QB Jameis Winston. Even if Brate is still involved, the team is going to still get the ball to Mike Evans...plus they added WR DeSean Jackson in free agency...and oh yeah, they selected Howard with their first-round pick in the 2017 NFL draft. Brate had a breakout season in 2016 and finished the year as the 6th-highest ranked TE in standard scoring leagues. He'll be hard pressed to break into the top 15 this year in a TEBC.

4. PHI - WR Alshon Jeffery impressing new team

Source: NJ Advance Media - Matt Lombardo

Philadelphia Eagles WR Alshon Jeffery has embraced the coaching staff and has been competing at a high level since joining the team, according to head coach Doug Pederson, and Pederson said the hope for the offseason is to have Jeffery and QB Carson Wentz on the same page.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Eagles finally have a true no.1 wide receiver for Wentz, and Jeffery could have plenty of fantasy value with his new team. His current ADP is WR16 (3.08) in 12-team PPR leagues.

5. PHI - Philly high on Corey Clement

Source: NJ Advance Media - Matt Lombardo

Philadelphia Eagles RB Corey Clement was given a 'draftable grade' by the scouting department, according to head coach Doug Pederson. 'We wanted to get him in here and get him working,' Pederson said.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Clement is rocked up and has the size (220 pounds) of a lead back. In fact, he's the largest back on the Eagles roster at this time. Clement is not much of a receiving option and staying healthy has been a problem for him during his football career. He's competing for a spot on the 53-man roster, and it's worth keeping an eye on this Eagles backfield for fantasy value.

6. NO - Trey Edmunds joins Saints

Source: The New Orleans Advocate - Nick Underhill

Undrafted free-agent RB Trey Edmunds (Maryland) signed with the New Orleans Saints Monday, May 15. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Edmunds measures in at 6'2" 233 pounds and is tough to bring down when he builds a head of steam. He participated in the Saints minicamp after five years in college, four at Virginia Tech and one as a graduate transfer at Maryland. With Mark Ingram, Adrian Peterson and Alvin Kamara stacked atop the depth chart, it's going to be tough for any runner behind those three to have much fantasy value in 2017.

7. SEA - Seattle makes roster moves

Source: The Seattle Times - Bob Condotta

The Seattle Seahawks signed free-agent FB Kyle Coleman (Seahawks) and undrafted free-agent WR Speedy Noil (Texas A&M) Monday, May 15. Terms of the contracts were not disclosed. The team also waived QB Skyler Howard and FB Brandon Cottom.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Noil is quite speedy, and he could instantly contribute as a return man. Off field problems and suspensions plagued his days with the Aggies, so the Seahawks will have to deal with a potential character problem in Noil. He's super athletic...always has been, dating back to his high school days...but Noil has never played up to his enormous potential.

8. DET - Jarrad Davis expected to play in middle

Source: Detroit Free Press - Dave Birkett

Detroit Lions LB Jarrad Davis is expected to be the starting middle linebacker this upcoming season.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's easy to fall in love with Davis' potential when watching him on film. During his career with the Gators, Davis was known as a strong leader on and off the field. He's always around the ball, can cover and rush the passer if asked to. Davis can have an immediate impact as a starter for the Lions.

9. BAL - Michael Pierce has chance to start

Source: ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley

Baltimore Ravens DT Michael Pierce appears to be the leading candidate for the starting nose tackle job entering training camp, in the opinion of ESPN.com's Jamison Hensley.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Undrafted out of Samford in 2016, Pierce graded out well as a run-stuffing defensive tackle for the Ravens. Playing only 375 snaps last year, Pierce finished with 35 total tackles, 2.0 sacks and one pass defensed. He's the favorite to replace Timmy Jernigan (Eagles) this season.

10. LAR - Los Angeles makes several roster moves

Source: TheRams.com - Nate Bain

The Los Angeles Rams signed undrafted free-agent RB De'Mard Llorens (Northwestern State), WR Shakeir Ryan (Northwestern State) and LB Teidrick Smith (Mary Hardin-Baylor) Monday, May 15. Terms of the contracts were not disclosed. The team also waived CB Jared Collins and C Anthony McMeans.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Llorens was super productive in college at Northwestern State, and he's a no-nonsense runner who can run through arm tackles regularly. He's not a burner, but Llorens is an intent runner at 5'9" 215 pounds and capable receiver out of the backfield. In the deepest of deep dynasty leagues we will be monitoring his progress.

11. NO - More roster moves for Saints

Source: ESPN - Adam Caplan

Free-agents OG Josh LeRibeus (Eagles), TE Clay Harbor (Lions) and OT Khalif Barnes (Saints) officially signed with the New Orleans Saints Monday, May 15.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Harbor move is the one to watch, but only in the deepest dynasty leagues. Harbor is an athletic move tight end, but he's bounced around the league and hasn't amounted to much as a pro. Anybody catching passes from QB Drew Brees gets our attention, so we'll watch Harbor to see how he competes behind Coby Fleener and Josh Hill.

12. DET - RB Matt Asiata not signed by Lions

Source: Detroit Free Press - Dave Birkett

Free-agent RB Matt Asiata (Vikings) was not given an offer following his participation in the Detroit Lions' rookie minicamp last week.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Asiata is a TD hog, but if he can't stick with a team like the Lions then it will be tough for him to land elsewhere. Lions head coach Jim Caldwell insists they're happy with the current backs in place.

13. NO - Justin Thomas joining Saints

Source: The Times-Picayune - Herbie Teope

Undrafted free-agent QB Justin Thomas (Georgia Tech) is signing a three-year deal with the New Orleans Saints, according to a source.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Thomas was an option quarterback in college, but he worked out at wide receiver and defensive back for the Saints as a tryout player in their recent minicamp. He played cornerback at the Senior Bowl earlier this year, but his position with the Saints is unclear at this time.

14. ATL - QB Matt Simms back with Falcons

Source: AtlantaFalcons.com - Curtis Jackson

Atlanta Falcons QB Matt Simms was re-signed Monday, May 15. WR Garrett Scantling was waived in a corresponding move.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Simms will compete as a camp arm with the Falcons once again. They've got Matt Ryan as the starter, Matt Schaub as the veteran backup and rookie Alek Togerson (Penn) as a developmental prospect.

15. CHI - Eddie Jackson signs contract

Source: Chicago Bears Radio Network - Zach Zaidman

Chicago Bears S Eddie Jackson signed his four-year rookie deal Monday, May 15.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

A fourth-round pick out of Alabama, Jackson is an instinctive player who seems to always be around the ball. Jackson can make plays as a return man as well. He'll compete for playing time early as a rookie.

16. GB - Vince Biegel had surgery

Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter and Rob Demovsky

Green Bay Packers rookie LB Vince Biegel (foot) underwent surgery on his foot last week. He may miss the beginning of training camp in July.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The first pick of the fourth round in the 2017 NFL draft, Biegel is your prototypical Wisconsin linebacker. He gives full effort on every snap and is known as a leader for his play on the field. The injury plagued him last year for the Badgers, and now he's had surgery to repair what sources indicate is a Jones Fracture in his foot.

17. CIN - Five rookies sign with Bengals

Source: Cox Media Group - Jay Morrison

Cincinnati Bengals DT Ryan Glasgow, PK Jake Elliott, LB Jordan Evans, S Brandon Wilson and TE Mason Schreck signed their four-year rookie deals Monday, May 15.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

A seventh-round pick out of Buffalo, Schreck is known as a natural hands catcher and receiving tight end. He only had one drop on 59 receptions with the Bulls last year. He was the leading receiver in 2016, and now he hopes to make an impression for the Bengals. With his receiving ability and willingness to block, we could see the rookie work his way up the depth chart with time.

18. IND - More roster moves for Indianapolis

Source: Colts.com

Free-agent OG Blake Muir (Falcons) and undrafted free-agent WR Al-Damion Riles (Louisiana-Lafayette) signed with the Indianapolis Colts Monday, May 15. Additionally, C Austin Blythe, WR Jerome Lane, CB Chris Lyles, OG Christopher Muller and CB Frankie Williams were waived.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Riles was the Ragin' Cajuns leading receiver in 2016 with 60 receptions for 729 yards and two touchdowns. He caught at least one pass in 29 straight games dating back to 2014 and was one of the most consistent players on offense. Riles was originally a safety and linebacker in college before switching to the wide receiver position.

19. ATL - Eric Saubert making strong impression

Source: The Atlanta Journal-Constitution - Michael Cunningham

Atlanta Falcons TE Eric Saubert is bigger and faster than anticipated, according to head coach Dan Quinn, and Quinn said the arrow is 'definitely up' on Saubert after rookie minicamp.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Saubert was one of our favorite sleeper TEs in the 2017 NFL draft. Coming out of Drake, Saubert showed off incredible ball skills and athleticism during the week of practice for the East-West Shrine Game earlier this year. Austin Hooper should be the Falcons lead TE this year, but keep your eye on Saubert in dynasty formats.

20. ATL - Brian Hill showing versatility

Source: The Atlanta Journal-Constitution - Michael Cunningham

Atlanta Falcons RB Brian Hill impressed head coach Dan Quinn with his size and his ability to catch the ball coming out of the backfield. 'No. 1 is just the size,' Quinn said. 'You can feel that right away. He's got the ability to make one cut and get vertical. We were happy with him coming out of the backfield.'

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hill was one of the most versatile backs in this draft class. He's not going to blow you away with outstanding speed or tremendous power, but Hill is a grinder who does everything well. The Wyoming product should work well as a reserve RB behind Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman. If one of those guys were banged up, Hill could step into a potentially fantasy relevant role and shine.

21. HOU - D'Onta Foreman working on conditioning

Source: Houston Chronicle - Aaron Wilson

Houston Texans RB D'Onta Foreman has some work to do in order to reach ideal football shape, according to head coach Bill O'Brien, and Foreman spent Saturday, May 13, riding a stationary bike at rookie minicamp.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

That's not what you want to hear about a big-bodied running back. Foreman is large but he'll go with finesse moves over power even though he's 230 pounds. He's got average burst and at times it too impatient when allowing time for blocks to develop. The rookie from Texas will compete with Alfred Blue for reserve snaps behind Lamar Miller.

22. PIT - JuJu Smith-Schuster staying focused

Source: Pittsburgh Tribune-Review - Chris Adamski

Pittsburgh Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster said he wants to earn a starting role but is currently focused on learning learning the playbook and running the proper routes.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Smith-Schuster is hyper competitive and could very well be a high-volume possession receiver for the Steelers. That makes him a rookie WR to monitor closely in PPR leagues. The USC product has drawn comparisons to Anquan Boldin because of his size and ability to rip contested passes away from defenders.

23. GB - Young Green Bay WRs likely limited

Source: USA TODAY NETWORK-Wisconsin - Aaron Nagler

Green Bay Packers WR DeAngelo Yancey and WR Malachi Dupre will likely be limited to special teams duties as rookies because of how much is expected of receivers in Green Bay's offense, according to beat writer Aaron Nagler.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We could easily see that happening for both Yancey and Dupre. They'll be battling for the fifth spot (at best) on the depth chart in 2017.

24. PHI - Derek Barnett will work on both sides

Source: NJ Advance Media - Matt Lombardo

Philadelphia Eagles DE Derek Barnett will work at both defensive end spots to see which side he is most comfortable on, according to head coach Doug Pederson.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Barnett has great technique, so it's not surprising he can work on either side of the defensive line. He was one of the most productive players coming out in this year's draft, and Barnett could make an immediate impact as a pass rusher for the Eagles as a rookie.
