1. DAL - WR Dez Bryant's struggles more mental

Source: DallasCowboys.com

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (foot) said his hardships last season were more mental than physical. Bryant said he was off his game from a mental standpoint, and the waiting while he was injured was also difficult.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Dez Bryant should be poised for a great season, and we expect WR1 numbers from him. Now, if only Tony Romo doesn't end up on a hospital gurney again this season.

2. OAK - QB Derek Carr more than a thrower

Source: CSNBayArea.com - Scott Bair

Oakland Raiders QB Derek Carr is more polished and isn't a gunslinger, according to former QB Brett Favre.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We agree with Favre here. Carr has a lot of upside and some exciting weapons around him. We see him as a low-end QB1 on the rise. His current ADP is 12-team PPR leagues is QB11 (9.04). In certain matchups, we should see Carr thrive so keep him in mind when looking at DFS plays during the regular season.

3. CLE - More consistency from RB Isaiah Crowell

Source: The Cleveland Plain Dealer - Dan Labbe

Cleveland Browns RB Isaiah Crowell needs to run consistently this year, according to head coach Hue Jackson. Jackson said Crowell hasn't been able to consistently run like the big-time runner he's capable of being.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

He has the lead back position right now, but Duke Johnson isn't far behind. Johnson is the receiving back, and he should get plenty of work in the new Hue Jackson offense. He's actually someone we want on our roster more, as an high-end RB3 with upside while Crowell is more of an RB4 despite the likely starting gig. Johnson's ability to catch the ball is a big difference.

4. CLE - Coach raves about RB Duke Johnson

Source: The Cleveland Plain Dealer - Dan Labbe

Cleveland Browns RB Duke Johnson was called 'an ultimate weapon' by running backs coach Kirby Wilson.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Johnson is a great pass-catching back, and while he could do more, he's stuck behind starting RB Isaiah Crowell at the moment. In PPR leagues, we see Johnson as more of a high-end RB3 with the ability to be a top-25 back if things shake out accordingly.

5. BUF - RB LeSean McCoy's case dismissed

Source: The Buffalo News - Vic Carucci

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy's nightclub brawl case has officially been dismissed by the Pennsylvania Attorney General's office Thursday, July 7, according to McCoy's attorney.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We can all breathe a sigh of relief. McCoy should be a great RB2 with the upside for more if he is healthy and gets the carries the Bills are promising. In 12-team PPR leagues, McCoy has a current ADP of RB13 (3.10).

6. MIA - WR DeVante Parker fully healthy

Source: ESPN.com - James Walker

Miami Dolphins WR DeVante Parker (foot) is at full health and will likely be pushed harder in training camp than he was during offseason activities.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Parker is expected to take over the X position in Adam Gase's offense. You might remember another guy who had great production in that role - Demaryius Thomas. We don't see Parker as Thomas by a long shot, but WR3 numbers with upside? Absolutely.

7. BUF - WR Robert Woods played with serious injury

Source: BuffaloBills.com - Chris Brown

Buffalo Bills WR Robert Woods (groin) played with a torn groin on both the left and right side for about half the season last year. Woods said he feels great now, though, and he looked more quick and explosive this offseason, too. Additionally, wide receivers coach Sanjay Lal said Woods' route-running is better than he's ever seen. Woods said that his chemistry with QB Tyrod Taylor has also improved due to first-team repetitions with each other, and after playing together some of last season.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Inconsistency has been his biggest issue with Woods, which could potentially stem from the injury as well. At best we see him as a WR6 though his ranking could be impacted if he secures the job as the WR2 in Buffalo. Fantasy owners know the Bills aren't exactly going to fill the air with footballs under head coach Rex Ryan.

8. NYJ - Big workload for RB Bilal Powell?

Source: New York Post - Brian Costello

New York Jets RB Bilal Powell is expected to see a lot of touches this season, according to the New York Post's Brian Costello.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We'll see how that works out. The Jets have said more than once they see Matt Forte as a workhorse back. Until we see different, Powell is no more than bench depth or a handcuff for Forte. Powell is coming off the board at RB44 (10.12), while Forte is getting drafted at RB12 (3.08) in 12-team PPR leagues.

9. CAR - WR Devin Funchess likely to be No. 2

Source: ESPN.com - David Newton

Carolina Panthers WR Devin Funchess is likely to emerge as the team's No. 2 receiver this season, beat writer David Newton said. He is expected to play outside and in the slot.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

As expected when they drafted him in the second round out of Michigan last year. With the return of Kelvin Benjamin, Funchess might see a little more room to work. We still see him as no more than a WR5 right now, but he has some upside even behind Benjamin and tight end Greg Olson.

10. JAX - Neal Sterling moving to TE

Source: The Florida Times-Union - Phillip Heilman

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Neal Sterling will move from wide receiver to tight end this season.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

His value was already bottom of the barrel and behind Julius Thomas, it's even more low-end. A seventh-round pick out of Monmouth in the 2015 NFL draft, Sterling was always considered a 'tweener prospect by the scouting community. He's only worth monitoring in the deepest of deep dynasty leagues.

11. DEN - Talks with WR Emmanuel Sanders on hold

Source: 9News.com - Mike Klis

Contract talks between Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders and the club are not off, but they are on hold for now. He is scheduled to make $5.6 million in the final year of his contract this season.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

No worries here, and in fact we see this as a good sign for the ongoing negotiations with superstar linebacker Von Miller. We think a deal gets done with Sanders after Miller gets a new long-term contract on or near the July 15th deadline for franchise-tagged players. The "Peyton Manning Era" is over in Denver, but Sanders is a solid WR3 for fantasy this season.
