1. DEN - Denver QB battle 'even'

Source: NFL.com - Andie Hagemann

Denver Broncos FS T.J. Ward said the team's quarterback competition is 'even' between QBs Mark Sanchez, Trevor Siemian and Paxton Lynch. 'We got three guys working really hard,' Ward said. 'They've all worked with the 1's, 2's and 3's. We have seen them work with different receivers in the starting offense and second-string offense. I'm not sure (who will start in September). ... Sometimes you really have to see who threw the ball or who is starting with the 1's because they're pretty even.'

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We don't see it as being even right now, but it could get close in training camp. Lynch is the future of the team, but he showed that he needs to ramp up to the pro level before being tasked with taking over on the defending Super Bowl champions. Sanchez went through mandatory minicamp as the first-team QB, and he did nothing to fall down the depth chart. Siemian has a rocket for an arm, but he struggles with accuracy. We think Sanchez begins the season as the starter and Lynch takes over at some point later in the year.

2. PHI - QB Sam Bradford working out with teammates

Source: NJ.com - Eliot Shorr-Parks

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford is working out with several of his teammates in San Diego leading up to training camp. QBs Chase Daniel and Carson Wentz, RB Darren Sproles, WR Jordan Matthews, Josh Huff, T.J. Graham and Rueben Randle and TE Zach Ertz are among the players participating in the workouts.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bradford is doing what he can to build chemistry in this new offense with this group. We're not overly excited by the Doug Pederson offense in Philadelphia, so Bradford should only be considered a QB3 for fantasy owners. He set to be the starter this year as rookie first-round pick Carson Wentz is likely to get a year of development in 2016. However, if Bradford struggles (not a stretch) then we could see the team turn to the rookie sooner than originally planned.

3. PHI - Philly may look at ILB Stephen Tulloch

Source: NJ.com - Eliot Shorr-Parks

Free-agent LB Stephen Tulloch (Lions) could be an option for the Philadelphia Eagles because they do not have many veteran backups behind the starting linebackers.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The move would make sense for a team like the Eagles. Not only do they have a need for better depth, but Tulloch played for defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz in the past.

4. PHI - WR Nelson Agholor still dropping balls

Source: NJ.com - Eliot Shorr-Parks

Philadelphia Eagles WR Nelson Agholor still dealt with drops during organized team activities. The second-year receiver couldn't hold onto the ball in his rookie season, either.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This is not the type of report you want coming out of the offseason. Agholor has natural talent and the ability to smoothly get open, but all that doesn't matter if you can't grab the rock. We're not overly excited about the No.2 WR with the Eagles, and fantasy owners are already cool on Agholor. His current ADP is WR65 (14.02) in 12-team PPR leagues.

5. NFL - WR Andre Johnson working out

Source: Houston Chronicle - Aaron Wilson

Free-agent WR Andre Johnson (Colts) has been working out this offseason and still intends to play in 2016.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Johnson's career is about at the end, but he's hoping to latch on with a team (perhaps a contender) after injuries hit in training camp. Last year with the Colts, Johnson ran 440 routes and snared 41 passes for 503 yards and four TDs. He averaged 10.24 air-yards-per-target, ranking 47th in the league for that category. He's not what he used to be, and Johnson will have to be used as an underneath target if some team ends up giving him a shot.

6. CLE - RB Duke Johnson could run more

Source: The Cleveland Plain Dealer - Mary Kay Cabot

Cleveland Browns RB Duke Johnson is expected to run the ball more than he did last year in new head coach Hue Jackson's offense, according to Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Browns backfield is an interesting one to monitor for fantasy owners. Johnson is an explosive player in space, but he could be more than just a receiving back. He'll compete with Isaiah Crowell to be the lead back for the Browns in 2016, and Johnson has more appeal in PPR leagues due to his receiving ability. Right now, Johnson has an ADP of RB26 (6.03) while Crowell is coming off the board much later at RB42 (9.09) in 12-team PPR leagues.

7. CLE - RB Isaiah Crowell due for big year?

Source: The Cleveland Plain Dealer - Mary Kay Cabot

Cleveland Browns RB Isaiah Crowell could reach the 1,000-yard plateau in 2016, according to The Cleveland Plain Dealer's Mary Kay Cabot. Cabot envisions a run early and often offense under new head coach Hue Jackson.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Crowell is quite naturally talented as a runner, and we love his blend of size, speed and power to grind down defenses. Fantasy owners in standard-scoring leagues will see more value for Crowell as he's not likely to be used much as a receiver. Players in PPR leagues need to look at Duke Johnson Jr. as the more valuable back in Cleveland.

8. TB - WR Louis Murphy woke up in museum

Source: Tampa Bay Times - Greg Auman

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Louis Murphy woke up Saturday, July 2, in a museum after attending a friend's wedding there the night before. Murphy said he had been drinking, went to the museum's courtyard and fell asleep on the stairs. The receiver broke the glass on one of the doors after being locked out and called a friend. Murphy and the museum manager agreed to work out the $1,000 in damages. Murphy was not charged with a crime.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Somehow Ben Stiller is going to spin off his Night at the Museum movie series to include this story. Even Denard Robinson waking up in a retention pond--in his car--is not as crazy as this story.

9. DEN - Denver to run often

Source: ESPN.com - Jeff Legwold

Denver Broncos RB C.J. Anderson said it's pretty obvious that head coach Gary Kubiak and the coaching staff will be more committed to the run this year after QB Peyton Manning retired. 'I don't think there's a question what coach (Kubiak) wants to do,' Anderson said recently. 'All you have to do is look out there and see a fullback running around ... I mean, we even drafted one. (Kubiak) wants to run the ball.' RBs Andy Janovich and Juwan Thompson have lined up at fullback in offseason practices. Denver used a two-back set just 25 times last year, but Kubiak is intent on going to the run more often moving forward. The Broncos beefed up their offensive line by adding OTs Russell Okung and Donald Stephenson, too.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fantasy owners should be drooling over the prospects for Anderson this year...especially with his current ADP. Yes, Anderson has to prove that he can do it all year but we're talking about a back who has showcased his talent over the last half of the season in each of the last two years. In fact, Anderson led the NFL in rushing during the postseason and he capped off his year with a 23-carry, 90-yard (with one rushing TD) performance in Super Bowl 50. We could see him getting a similar workload this year as Denver's lead back. His current ADP is RB17 (4.07) in 12-team PPR leagues.

10. NO - DE Darryl Tapp joins Saints

Source: ESPN.com - Field Yates

Free-agent DE/LB Darryl Tapp (Lions) signed an undisclosed deal with the New Orleans Saints Wednesday, July 6.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We see Tapp as a rotational player in the front seven for the Saints defense. He'll work as a run-stuffer and can generate a bit of pressure on the QB from time to time.
