1. BUF - WR Sammy Watkins placed on IR

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Buffalo Bills WR Sammy Watkins (foot) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Friday, Sept. 30. He will meet with specialist but is not scheduled to undergo surgery at this point.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It didn't take long for that other shoe to drop. Watkins is out for at least eight weeks, which means it's difficult to justify holding him. There's no surgery scheduled, but he is still meeting with Dr. Robert Anderson. It's not certain that we'll see him again this year. Robert Woods will be the #1 receiver in a low wattage pass offense. LeSean McCoy and Tyrod Taylor have lower weekly and season-long floors with this news.

2. KC - RB Jamaal Charles to make '16 debut Sunday

Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Kansas City Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles (knee) will make his season debut in the team's Week 4 contest Sunday, Oct. 2, against the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to a source.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Charles will likely still take a back seat to Spencer Ware in his first game back. It's possible that Charcandrick West's injury forced the Chiefs hand here, but it's still a good sign that the team did not take advantage of next week's bye to get Charles another week of rest before returning. We all saw with Rob Gronkowski that a player returning from injury doesn't necessarily mean they return with a smash. On the other hand, Charles is an explosive player who only needs a few chances to make an impact. For this one, we're taking a wait and see approach.

3. NYJ - WR Eric Decker has partially torn rotator cuff

Source: New York Daily News - Daniel Popper

New York Jets WR Eric Decker (shoulder) has been diagnosed with a partially torn rotator cuff and is out for Week 4 versus the Seattle Seahawks. Head coach Todd Bowles called Decker 'week-to-week' and it is unknown at this time whether or not he will require surgery.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Decker is out this week and Quincy Enunwa's value just took a big leap as the #2 in a pass happy offense. The red zone offense will become less effective but it might free up more opportunity for Matt Forte or Brandon Marshall when they get there. Decker's rest of season value still hangs in the balance and he's probably not an essential hold in short bench leagues.

4. DAL - WR Dez Bryant comes down to pain threshold

Source: The Dallas Morning News - Jon Machota

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (knee) is iffy for Week 4, but owner Jerry Jones said it would come down to Bryant's pain threshold.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This tells us that even if Bryant is active, don't expect any fireworks. Bryant should be on your bench and if he's ruled out, Terrance Williams and Cole Beasley become flex considerations.

5. NO - WR Willie Snead questionable

Source: NewOrleansSaints.com

New Orleans Saints WR Willie Snead (toe) was limited during practice Friday, Sept. 30, and is listed as questionable for Week 4.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Snead has been getting in limited practices all week, which means he is likely to play against the Chargers. The matchup is improved with Brandon Flowers out and Snead has a high ceiling as part of the Saints prolific pass offense, but he also carries risk of having limited effectiveness or a flare-up in game. Consider him a boom/bust WR3/Flex.

6. TB - RB Doug Martin ruled out Sunday vs. Denver

Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Doug Martin (hamstring) has been ruled out for the team's Week 4 game Sunday, Oct. 2, versus the Denver Broncos.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Charles Sims will get another start. He has a high PPR floor with his involvement in the passing game, but scoring chances might be minimal against the tough Broncos defense.

7. TEN - WR Kendall Wright should play in Week 4

Source: TitansOnline.com

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright (hamstring) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 30, and is not on the injury report for Week 4.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Wright is coming back just as the Titans pass offense is stuck in the doldrums with rookie Tajae Sharpe drawing criticism instead of the praise he was getting for the entire offseason and preseason.

8. TEN - TE Delanie Walker listed as questionable

Source: TitansOnline.com

Tennessee Titans TE Delanie Walker (hamstring) was limited during practice Friday, Sept. 30, and is listed as questionable for Week 4.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Walker thinks he has a good shot to play against the Texans, but that we'll know more tomorrow. He's a boom/bust TE1 play if active, but Walker is at risk of a hamstring flare-up in game so his floor is very low.

9. MIN - WR Stefon Diggs limited Friday

Source: Vikings.com

Minnesota Vikings WR Stefon Diggs (groin) was limited during practice Friday, Sept. 30.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Diggs didn't seem to be affected by the groin as much as the strong Panthers defense last week. He's still a solid WR2 play against the Giants on Monday night.

10. NYG - Friday injury report for Giants

Source: Giants.com

New York Giants CB Eli Apple (hamstring), FS Nat Berhe (concussion), OT Marshall Newhouse (calf), CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (groin), DT Robert Thomas (illness) and FS Darian Thompson (foot) did not participate in practice Friday, Sept. 30. DE Olivier Vernon (wrist) fully participated in practice.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

If Apple and Rodgers-Cromartie are out on Monday against the Vikings, it will make things easier for Sam Bradford and increase his appeal as a streaming play.

11. NYG - RB Rashad Jennings limited again

Source: Giants.com

New York Giants RB Rashad Jennings (thumb) was limited during practice Friday, Sept. 30.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jennings looks unlikely to play based on early week reports, but he hasn't been ruled out. If he does play Monday night, he is unlikely to play in the passing game. There's no good Giants running back play this week no matter who starts against the Vikings.

12. BAL - Friday injury report for Ravens

Source: BaltimoreRavens.com

Baltimore Ravens OT Ronnie Stanley (foot) and CB Sheldon Price (thigh) are listed as doubtful for Week 4. WR Kamar Aiken (thigh), LB Elvis Dumervil (foot), WR Devin Hester (thigh), OG Alex Lewis (concussion), DT Timmy Jernigan (knee) and OG John Urschel (shoulder) are listed as questionable. Stanley and Price did not participate in practice Friday, Sept. 30. Hester and Lewis were limited during practice, while Aiken, Dumervil, Jernigan and Urschel fully participated in practice.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Stanley being likely out will help Bruce Irvin and Khalil Mack and the Raiders defense chances of getting at Joe Flacco this week.

13. JAX - Friday's Jaguars practice report

Source: NFLMedia.com

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Ben Koyack (knee) and DE Jared Odrick (tricep) did not practice Friday, Sept. 30. LB Dan Skuta (hip) was a limited participant, while CB Prince Amukamara (hamstring), OT Kelvin Beachum (concussion), DE Dante Fowler Jr. (shoulder), RB Chris Ivory (ankle, knee), DT Malik Jackson (quad), C Brandon Linder (knee) and LB Hayes Pullard (ankle) practiced in full.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The return of Beachum and Linder should help the offensive line after a rough week against the Ravens. The running game is still stuck in neutral, but Blake Bortles outlook as boom/bust streaming quarterback looks a little better.

14. HOU - Duane Brown ruled out for Week 4

Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Josh Alper

Houston Texans OT Duane Brown (quad) will miss his fourth straight game in Week 4 versus the Tennessee Titans. He was able to practice on a limited basis this week and is anticipating a Week 5 return against the Minnesota Vikings.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Texans running game has given Lamar Miller a huge opportunity but it has only produced RB2 numbers. Hopefully the return of Brown can help create larger lanes for Miller starting next week.

15. SD - CB Brandon Flowers out for Week 4

Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Darin Gantt

San Diego Chargers CB Brandon Flowers (head) has been ruled out for Week 4 versus the New Orleans Saints with a concussion.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Chargers still have two strong corners in Casey Hayward and Jason Verrett, but the Saints have three quality receivers. This helps Drew Brees' fantasy profile for Week 4.

16. CHI - WR Alshon Jeffery limited in practice Friday

Source: CSNChicago.com - John Mullin

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (hamstring, knee) has been limited over the first two days of practice this week by a knee injury. On Friday, Sept. 30, he was limited by a hamstring injury and is expected to be listed as questionable leading into the team's Week 4 game versus the Detroit Lions.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jeffery has always been able to produce while playing through nagging injuries, and he was a solid start last week despite clearly not being 100%. He's a decent WR2 play against the Lions defense that allowed four scores in a half to Aaron Rodgers last week.

17. PIT - WR Markus Wheaton working through pain

Source: ESPN.com - Jeremy Fowler

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Markus Wheaton (shoulder) is still dealing with discomfort from the AC joint injury that cost him the first two weeks of the season.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Wheaton dropped a touchdown last week and was a non-factor. With Eli Rogers out because of turf toe, Wheaton should get more playing time this week, but he's still not clearly worth a roster spot in typical leagues.

18. SD - TE Antonio Gates remains out of practice

Source: The San Diego Union-Tribune - Michael Gehlken

San Diego Chargers TE Antonio Gates (hamstring) did not participate in practice Friday, Sept. 30, and is expected to miss his second straight game in Week 4 against the New Orleans Saints.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hunter Henry is a viable streaming play this week against one of the worst passing defenses in the NFL. The Saints haven't given up big games to tight ends this year, but Henry should be one of Philip Rivers main targets after a strong first start up until his fumble that cost the team a chance to win the game.

19. PIT - ILB Ryan Shazier ruled out for Week 4

Source: ESPN.com - Jeremy Fowler

Pittsburgh Steelers LB Ryan Shazier (knee) has been ruled out for Week 4 against the Kansas City Chiefs.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Steelers most talented player on defense is out for this week. The screen game that ate them up vs. the Eagles could be used a lot by the Chiefs, exposing the loss of Shazier's range. Travis Kelce and Spencer Ware should both benefit from this absence.

20. MIN - CB Janoris Jenkins could follow WR Stefon Diggs

Source: The Bergen Record - Art Stapleton

Minnesota Vikings WR Stefon Diggs may on the receiving end of shadow coverage of New York Giants CB Janoris Jenkins in Week 4 given the Giants' depth issues in the secondary, according to the Bergen County Record's Art Stapleton.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jenkins is the Giants best corner, but he's not a shutdown corner by any measure. Diggs is a solid WR2 heading into the Monday night matchup.

21. JAX - TE Julius Thomas questionable

Source: Jaguars.com

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Julius Thomas (elbow) is listed as questionable for Week 4.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Thomas is a game-time decision. Even though the matchup is good, he is coming in off of a dud against Baltimore and Thomas is probably not a safe or high floor play this week, although he could have a higher ceiling than safer options at tight end.

22. JAX - QB Blake Bortles feasted on Colts

Source: The Indianapolis Star - Jim Ayello

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles had 548 yards and four touchdowns in two games against the Indianapolis Colts last season.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bortles was much more confident last year. We will all get to see if he is finding his game in the early start at London this week. He's a boom/bust streamer for this matchup, coming in off of a low point against the Ravens last week.
