A. Dominate Your League With A Footballguys Insider Subscription
We hope these Daily Email Updates are helpful. But they're just the tip of the iceberg for what we offer at Footballguys. Most of the content on the site is still free for another couple of weeks but after that, it'll only be available to our Footballguys Inisder Subscribers. Here are Thirteen Reasons To Susbcribe.

For me though, the proof is in the results. I received this email Monday from Footballguys Insider Subscriber Paul Ricci:

"Do you guys need any more testimonials?

For 9 years I was an average at best fantasy football player.

With your website I dominated my league last year. Three of my current players are in the top 10 of most APD lists.

You guys liked T-Rich and Doug Martin more than most and I got them both."

B. Footballguys Draft GM - Version 1.1 Ready - Get Ready To Mock
The response to the Draft GM has been outstanding and we've been hard at work with some tweaks to make it even better.

One of the coolest features about the new Draft GM is the ability to Mock Draft. While it's the tool you need to run your actual draft, it's fantastic for mock drafting where you go against the artificial intelligence of the app. It's a great way to try different strategies and see what kind of team you end up with. It would be worth the price just for how much fun it is to mock with this.

What's New in Version 1.1

- Position counting, per team and overall on rosters screen
- Variable mock draft AI delay in settings
- Global watch list
- Player search on player database
- Keeper bug fixed
- Cancel updating data option
- PPR/TDs Only scoring is retained on switching to advanced scoring
- IDP VBD adjustments
- Sliders for modifying team AI and projection set balances have numbers changing as the sliders are adapted
- Division by zero yardage scoring causing NaN in VBD bug fixed

Various other minor tweaks and issues fixed.

It's the mobile draft tool you need to Dominate Your Draft.

STL - RB Daryl Richardson favorite for RB job

Source: CBSSports.com - Clark Judge

St. Louis Rams RB Daryl Richardson is considered the favorite for the starting running back job because he has more experience than RBs Isaiah Pead, Zac Stacy and Terrance Ganaway.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Pead is going to miss the first game of the season due to a one-game suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy. Richardson is the most explosive back on the roster but may not be built to be a featured back. We'll see how much the team complements him with bigger backs like Pead or Stacy. Some feel Stacy is the best fit at the top of the depth chart because of his size, leg drive, and determination.

NE - RB Shane Vereen lined up at WR at workouts

Source: Patriots.com

New England Patriots RB Shane Vereen lined up at wide receiver at times during offseason workouts. The team is looking to isolate Vereen in space against a linebacker.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

No surprise here. Vereen is a dangerous weapon who can make plays in space. With all the questions in the receiving corps it will help to have a versatile player like Vereen lining up all over the formation.

SEA - RB Marshawn Lynch's court case delayed

Source: The Tacoma News Tribune - Eric D. Williams

Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch's court case for driving under the influence has been delayed until Nov. 1.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Lynch's fantasy owners can breathe a sigh of relief here. We could see this court case delayed until late this year or early next year. Lynch won't face any discipline from the league until the legal process is exhausted.

CIN - Coach high on RB Giovani Bernard

Source: Bengals.com

Cincinnati Bengals running backs coach Hue Jackson said he believes RB Giovani Bernard can become an every down player in the NFL. 'Having evaluated him and watched every game he played this year and had a chance to work him out, and having spent a lot of time with him, he has that skill set where I think he could play and be an every down player,' Jackson said.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

That last sentence is important to highlight. Some see Bernard as only a change of pace back but the team may have a different idea. There is a chance Bernard could win the starting job over veteran BenJarvus Green-Ellis during training camp. He's a big play back who reminds some in the scouting community of DeAngelo Williams (Panthers). His current ADP is RB30 (ahead of Green-Ellis at RB32) and Bernard is coming off the board at 5.12 in 12 team PPR leagues.

STL - WR Tavon Austin has rapport with QB Sam Bradford

Source: NFL.com - Kevin Patra

St. Louis Rams rookie WR Tavon Austin reportedly already has solid chemistry with QB Sam Bradford during offseason workouts. 'He looked for me a lot at practice,' Austin said. 'He definitely believes in me and I definitely feel good about myself. He kind of talked to me, let me know the things I'm doing good, the things I'm doing bad as far as landmarks, if I should have kept the corner high or should I bend it off. I definitely believe he got a lot of trust in me and I got trust in him.'

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Great news for the Rams and an important note for fantasy owners here. Austin is the most exciting rookie WR to enter the league and all signs point to him being the centerpiece of the Rams' passing game. Austin has a current ADP of WR25 and he's coming off the board at 6.10 in 12 team PPR leagues.

NFL - RB Vonta Leach decision coming

Source: The Miami Herald - Armando Salguero

Free-agent FB Vonta Leach (Ravens) is expected to make a decision where to sign by Sunday, July 7.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Leach is getting quite a bit of interest on the open market. The Dolphins are believed to be the top suitor for the free agent fullback. Any team that adds Leach will see an instant boost from their ground game.

JAX - WR Justin Blackmon undergoes surgery

Source: The Florida Times-Union - Ryan O'Halloran

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon (groin) recently underwent groin surgery but there is a chance he could be ready for the start of training camp.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Blackmon is suspended for the first four games of the NFL season for violating the league's substance abuse policy. The team won't rush him back into the lineup until he's fully recovered from this surgery. This recovery could cut into his reps during training camp and the preseason.

NE - WR Lavelle Hawkins may not make team

Source: ESPNBoston.com - Mike Rodak

New England Patriots WR Lavelle Hawkins may not provide enough special teams value to make the final roster as the No. 5 or No. 6 wide receiver.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hawkins got a small amount of guaranteed money, unlike other free agent WRs added by the Patriots this offseason (Donald Jones, Michael Jenkins). His ability on special teams will determine whether or not he makes the final roster.

NYJ - WR Santonio Holmes rehabbing at facility

Source: ESPNNewYork.com - Jane McManus

New York Jets WR Santonio Holmes (foot) has been rehabbing his foot injury at the team's facility this offseason in preparation for training camp. It is not known if Holmes will be ready for the start of training camp.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Holmes is coming back from a Lis Franc, muscle tear, and joint separation in his mid-foot. His status for week one of the regular season is very much in question at this time. Holmes could be put on the PUP list to begin the regular season if he's not ready.

PIT - WR Markus Wheaton could receive playing time

Source: NFL.com - Marc Sessler

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Markus Wheaton could receive a solid amount of playing time on passing downs this season.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Wheaton was one of our favorite rookie WRs in this draft class. He has the speed to get downfield and can track the ball with ease on deep passes. Wheaton will help the Steelers after Mike Wallace (Dolphins) moved on in free agency. The rookie should be the team's WR3 behind Antonio Brown and Emmanuel Sanders.

BUF - Unlikely to add another QB

Source: BuffaloBills.com - Chris Brown

The Buffalo Bills likely will not sign another quarterback before training camp because they want to give QBs Kevin Kolb and EJ Manuel as many reps as possible during camp.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Bills have a QB competition that could last through the entire preseason. Kolb has the experience advantage but Manuel is seen as the QB of the future.

JAX - RB Denard Robinson expects to line up at several spots

Source: Jaguars.com - John Oehser

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Denard Robinson said he expects to line up at running back, wide receiver and possibly quarterback this season. General manager Dave Caldwell said earlier this offseason Robinson could play 10 to 15 snaps per game.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Robinson is like Dexter McCluster (Chiefs). He's an exciting prospect, but a player without a position. He runs too upright to be given a heavy workload as a runner. Robinson is dangerous in space but may not make the impact some fantasy owners want. McCluster finished as the 76th best WR in standard fantasy leagues last season. Robinson may finish around the same spot, but at the RB position.

CHI - RB Michael Bush fully healed

Source: NFL.com - Kevin Patra

Chicago Bears RB Michael Bush (shoulder, rib) is fully healed from both rib and shoulder injuries he dealt with last season. His role in the team's offense is undefined this offseason under new head coach Marc Trestman.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bush may not get many touches this offseason as the primary backup behind Matt Forte. Trestman may prefer to use one back as a workhorse and not a RBBC.

SEA - WR Golden Tate thinks team can be good for long time

Source: NFL.com - Marc Sessler

Seattle Seahawks WR Golden Tate said he believes the Seahawks can be a very good team for a long period of time. 'I think we have a chance to be really, really special, and special for a long time,' Tate said. 'If we can just stay healthy and not let (it) go to our heads ... I'm sure [head coach Pete Carroll] will not let that happen. ... I think the last few years, teams kind of thought, 'Seattle, we're going to walk all over them,' but not anymore.'

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Tate has seen his production grow each year he's been in the league. Last year he had 80 targets, 45 receptions, 688 yards, and seven receiving touchdowns. This offseason the team added star WR Percy Harvin to be their top receiver. That addition will take some looks away from Tate in 2013. It will be interesting to see how both receivers can fit in the offense this year.

BUF - No progress in talks with S Jairus Byrd

Source: ESPN.com - James Walker

The Buffalo Bills have not made any recent progress in contract talks with franchise free-agent FS Jairus Byrd. The team has until July 15 to sign him to a long-term contract.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Byrd is a top five player at his position and should be compensated as such. The market for Safeties this offseason was soft so Byrd might be better off with the $7MM franchise tag this year and look for a long-term deal next offseason.

TB - OLB Dekoda Watson showing improvement

Source: Buccaneers.com

Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Greg Schiano said LB Dekoda Watson has shown a lot of improvement since last season. 'I think Dekoda’s come a long way since last January,' Schiano said. 'You talk about a new scheme for the quarterbacks, this is a completely new scheme for Dekoda Watson. He’s locked in and learning that position and I think he’s doing a good job.'

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Watson was a seventh-round pick by the Buccaneers in the 2010 NFL draft. He has 64 tackles and one sack during his pro career. The team would like to see him make a bigger impact in 2013.
