DEN - WR Wes Welker fitting in well

Source: DenverBroncos.com - Gray Caldwell

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning said WR Wes Welker has been fitting in well and believes things will get better with increased repetitions. 'He really has an ability to read coverages and I think he takes it as seriously as a quarterback does,' Manning said. 'That really has worked well for him, and as a quarterback, you sort of appreciate that. But hopefully we can still keep going. There's some things that we need to improve on, which repetitions are the best way to improve that.'

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Welker has looked fantastic this offseason and was a great addition by the Broncos. He's unlikely to have more than 100 receptions this year as Welker will be splitting targets with Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker. We like Welker to get about 80 catches and five to six TDs in 2013.

NE - WR Julian Edelman could have big role

Source: Twitter

New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman could have a big role with the team in 2013 because he is the most familiar wide receiver with QB Tom Brady, and because of the subtraction of WRs Wes Welker, Brandon Lloyd, Donte' Stallworth, Deion Branch and TE Aaron Hernandez, and the injury situation with TE Rob Gronkowski.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fantasy owners can't forget about Edelman here. Edelman is the only WR left on the roster who recorded a catch for the Patriots last year. He's got good chemistry with Tom Brady and could be an interesting player to keep an eye on. However, Edelman is still recovering from a foot injury he suffered last year. He's never played a full 16 game season during his pro career.

SF - QB Colin Kaepernick trying to find balance in workouts

Source: Sacramento Bee - Matt Barrows

San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick is trying to find balance in his workout routine to help stay fit before training camp after head coach Jim Harbaugh said he was concerned about his quarterback working too hard in the weight room. 'That's the balance I'm trying to find,' Kaepernick said. 'Can I get big, can I get strong and still remain flexible enough to go out and throw the ball well?'

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Kaepernick has some development to work on as a passer. His scrambling ability will always make him a dangerous threat. However, he needs to work on going through his progressions and reading the entire field when dropping back to throw.

KC - Jamaal Charles impressed with QB Alex Smith

Source: NFL.com - Marc Sessler

Kansas City Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles labeled QB Alex Smith as a Super Bowl-caliber quarterback. 'I think he is. He's got a great arm,' Charles said. 'He's been winning most all of his career. I think he wants to prove people wrong: That he is a good quarterback, that he can stay consistent.'

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Smith is the key for the Chiefs. If he can play with boldness then the Chiefs could be a Wild Card team in 2013. They'll be a thorn in the side of Denver but are unlikely to win the division over the Broncos.

NO - QB Drew Brees happy with offseason

Source: NFL.com - Dan Hanzus

New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees is content with the offseason is going and said things are back to normal now that head coach Sean Payton is back at the helm. 'It's all about football, and that's the way we like it,' Brees said. 'This is really the first normal offseason we've had in four years. Going from that offseason after Super Bowl, which was a crazy offseason, and right into the lockout the next offseason, and last year with the bounty and the contract and with everything else.'

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Saints want to get back on track in 2013. They have head coach Sean Payton back in the fold and are set to make a playoff push. With Brees leading the offense that is certainly a possibility.

NE - WR Michael Jenkins showed good chemistry with QB

Source: WEEI.com - Christopher Price

New England Patriots WR Michael Jenkins showed a good chemistry with QB Tom Brady during offseason workouts.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jenkins has been a standout player for the Patriots this offseason. The team has plenty of questions surrounding their receiving corps this season. They'll have to replace Wes Welker, Brandon Lloyd, and Aaron Hernandez this year. Jenkins is set to start opposite Danny Amendola, but will have to win the job over rookie Aaron Dobson (Marshall).

DAL - WR Danny Coale will need to stay healthy

Source: ESPNDallas.com - Calvin Watkins

Dallas Cowboys WR Danny Coale (knee) will need to stay healthy during training camp if he wants a chance to make the final roster.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Coale has talent as a slot receiver as he can get open on underneath routes. He needs to stay healthy if he wants to make the team as the fifth WR behind Miles Austin, Dez Bryant, Terrence Williams, and Dwayne Harris.

WAS - RB Roy Helu could be change of pace back

Source: Twitter

Washington Redskins RB Roy Helu could serve as the third down, short yardage back behind RB in 2013. Helu is familiar with the pistol offense, running it regularly when he played at Nebraska.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Helu has talent but has been held back by injuries during his pro career. The Redskins' bell cow will be Alfred Morris once again in 2013. However, when they need to give him a breather then Helu could be the back they turn to.

BUF - WR Brad Smith's roster spot could be in jeopardy

Source: BuffaloBills.com - Chris Brown

Buffalo Bills WR Brad Smith's spot on the roster could be in jeopardy if WRs Robert Woods and Marquise Goodwin perform well during training camp and earn bigger roles in the offense.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

No surprise here. The Bills added quality talent to the WR corps this offseason in the 2013 NFL draft. Smith could get bounced from the roster even though he's a versatile player who can contribute as a RB, WR, QB, and return man.

SF - TE Vance McDonald expected to be No. 2 TE

Source: CSNBayArea.com - Matt Maiocco

San Francisco 49ers TE Vance McDonald is expected to be the team's No. 2 tight end this season. He should be able to adapt quickly to blocking during training camp after being used mostly in the slot during his college career.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

McDonald is taking the spot of Delanie Walker (Titans) who moved on in free agency. He's a talented move TE with a big frame and the ability to attack the seam. With TE Vernon Davis working exclusively with the WRs this offseason we may see McDonald get more work than some expect.

KC - RB Knile Davis learning from coaches

Source: KCChiefs.com - Reid Ferrin

Kansas City Chiefs running backs coach Eric Bieniemy has been working with RB Knile Davis to help perfect his running technique. 'We've had conversations about stuff on and off-the-field; he's really been like that father-figure to me, helping me and showing me different things, letting me know what I'm about to face," Davis said. "On the field, he's very hard on me; he's my biggest critic. He's a perfectionist, who is on me about the littlest details, but I know it's going to make me better and that's what he's here for; he's definitely doing his job.'

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Davis is a big back with a strong lower body and good straight line speed. He's got serious durability concerns from his days in college at Arkansas. Davis is not creative or elusive in the open field but is set to be the primary backup behind Jamaal Charles this season.

PIT - RB Isaac Redman thinks team can use three RBs

Source: Steelers.com - Teresa Varley

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Isaac Redman said he believes the team will be able to effectively use him, RB Le'Veon Bell and RB Jonathan Dwyer this season because they want to establish the running game.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bell was drafted in the second-round of the 2013 NFL draft and will compete to be the starting RB. He's a momentum runner who needs a big workload to grind down the defense. Bell is the favorite to win the job with Redman and Dwyer competing for the backup position.

DEN - Studying New England's offense

Source: DenverBroncos.com - Gray Caldwell

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning said he has studied the New England Patriots' offense to discover what worked well for WR Wes Welker. 'There's certain pass patterns and certain things that he's done so well for so long, you'd be crazy not to copy some of those and bring those to your offense,' Manning said.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Broncos know that they've built a Super Bowl contender at Dove Valley. They're largely considered the favorite to win it all but need to get it done in the postseason after getting bounced by the Ravens last year. Adding Welker is a key piece for the team. He'll be a trusted target for Manning and will help the team's short yardage woes because of his elite ability on jerk routes underneath.

BAL - Steve Spagnuolo excited about defense

Source: BaltimoreRavens.com - Garrett Downing

Baltimore Ravens senior defensive assistant Steve Spagnuolo said he believes the Ravens' defense this season is the best one he has been around in his career. 'This is as good a looking football team that I've ever seen. I'm talking about physically and stout,' Spagnuolo said.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Ravens lost some key pieces this offseason when Ray Lewis, Dannelle Ellerbe, and Ed Reed moved on. However, they added some great weapons when they got OLB Elvis Dumervil in free agency and selected ILB Arthur Brown in the second-round of the 2013 NFL draft. They'll push for a deep playoff run in 2013.
