C. Footballguys Draft GM - Version 1.1 Ready - Get Ready To Mock
The response to the Draft GM has been outstanding and we've been hard at work with some tweaks to make it even better.

One of the coolest features about the new Draft GM is the ability to Mock Draft. While it's the tool you need to run your actual draft, it's fantastic for mock drafting where you go against the artificial intelligence of the app. It's a great way to try different strategies and see what kind of team you end up with. It would be worth the price just for how much fun it is to mock with this.
What's New in Version 1.1

- Position counting, per team and overall on rosters screen
- Variable mock draft AI delay in settings
- Global watch list
- Player search on player database
- Keeper bug fixed
- Cancel updating data option
- PPR/TDs Only scoring is retained on switching to advanced scoring
- IDP VBD adjustments
- Sliders for modifying team AI and projection set balances have numbers changing as the sliders are adapted
- Division by zero yardage scoring causing NaN in VBD bug fixed

Various other minor tweaks and issues fixed.

It's the mobile draft tool you need to Dominate Your Draft.

D. Coming Soon - Footballguys Magazine DraftKit App
Just a headsup to let you know we've got another even bigger app coming soon for you. The Footballguys Magazine Draftkit for 2013 will be the killer mobile app for Fantasy Sports. It'll include our Draft GM app that we've been talking about plus magazine style content. It's available just for tablets that have a 7" diagonal and larger screen. Meaning it'll work with tablets like the iPad Mini and the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. We'll have more info soon but just wanted to throw that out. Trust me, we'll keep you updated.

NE - TE Aaron Hernandez's lawyer issues statement

Source: USA TODAY Sports - Kevin Manahan

The attorney for New England Patriots TE Aaron Hernandez, Michael Fee, issued a statement regarding the investigation of a homicide involving his client: "Over the past week, our client, Aaron Hernandez, has been the subject of a relentless flood of rumors, misinformation and false reports in the media," the statement said. "These include the repeated publication of a supposedly confirmed report that an arrest warrant had been issued for Aaron, a report that was exposed as untrue. None of these false reports come from official sources and we appreciate the professionalism and restraint shown by the Bristol County District Attorney's Office to date with regard to its public statements while its investigation is underway. Out of respect for that ongoing investigation, we will continue to refrain from commenting on its substance."

JAX - No charges to be filed against RB Maurice Jones-Drew

Source: WJXT4 - Vic Micolucci

Updating an ongoing story, prosecutors have decided not to press charges against Jacksonville Jaguars RB Maurice Jones-Drew in the night club altercation.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Good news for Jones-Drew here. He needs to focus on staying healthy and getting back to the level we're used to seeing from the veteran back.

TEN - QB Jake Locker taking charge

Source: TitansInsider.com - Terry McCormick

Tennessee Titans TE Delanie Walker said QB Jake Locker is taking control of the huddle. 'He's a true leader,' Walker said. 'He knows how to get the team pumped. He controls the huddle, and that's what you need out of a quarterback. You need a quarterback that can control the huddle and tell us where we need to get.'

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Nothing but good news for the Titans here. The team wants him to be a franchise level QB and 2013 is a make or break year for Locker. He needs to stay healthy, mature as a passer, and start playing up to his potential. If he struggles this season then perhaps the Titans will start looking elsewhere for their starting QB.

SD - Expecting a bounce back year from QB Rivers

Source: Cecil Lammey - ESPNDenver.com and Footballguys.com

In an interview on The Audible, Chargers beat writer Michael Gehlken (San Diego Union-Tribune) said that 2013 would be "some measure of a bounce back year for Philip Rivers." Mike McCoy is the team's new head coach and is known as someone who can get the most out of the players under him.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We like Rivers as a late round QB to grab in your fantasy leagues. The team has upgraded the offensive line, added weapons like WR Keenan Allen and RB Danny Woodhead, plus they're getting potential star WR Vincent Brown back from the ankle injury that cost him the entire 2012 season. Rivers current ADP is QB19 and he's coming off the board at 12.11 in 12 team fantasy leagues.

SD - Rookie WR Allen drawing Reggie Wayne comparisons

Source: Cecil Lammey - ESPNDenver.com and Footballguys.com

During an interview on The Audible, Chargers beat writer Michael Gehlken (San Diego Union-Tribune) says that rookie WR Keenan Allen (California) has been drawing some Reggie Wayne (Colts) comparisons at Chargers camp. Gehlken also said Allen's smoothness and route running immediately stand out.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Allen could be a steal for the Chargers if he can stay healthy and play up to his potential. He has elite talent but fell to the third-round in the 2013 NFL draft largely due to a PCL injury that slowed him during the pre-draft process. Allen could be a quality WR2 for the Chargers in the near future but this season may have limited opportunity behind guys like Vincent Brown, Danario Alexander, Eddie Royal, and Malcom Floyd.

BAL - RB Ray Rice wants to be smart

Source: ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley

Baltimore Ravens RB Ray Rice said he has to be smart about not trying to do too much as he gets older. 'Going into Year 6, you have to be smart,' Rice said. 'I know I have a lot of football left, but the name of the game is longevity for me now. I've proved I can be a Pro Bowl player and I still know I can go out there and make many more Pro Bowls. Part of the lesson you learn is being smart and realizing you can't go out there and do it all on your own. For me, I'm in a great situation, I've a got a young back in Bernard Pierce and we can share the load. But I know when it's a crucial situation, like a fourth down or a big third down, I go out there and make as many plays as a I can.'

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's a smart move for Rice. He needs to be cautious as RBs take a big beating during their football careers. We'll see the team use second-year RB Bernard Pierce a little more this season in an effort to keep Rice fresh.

JAX - RB Maurice Jones-Drew will be ready

Source: The Florida Times-Union - Vito Stellino

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Maurice Jones-Drew (foot) said he'll have no problems being ready for training camp at the end of July. 'The foot feels great,' he said. Despite the mileage on his legs, Jones-Drew said he still feels like his body is 23 years old.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fantasy owners are cool on Jones-Drew at this time, and for good reason. His current ADP is RB14 and he's coming off the board at 2.06 in 12 team leagues. If he can regain his form then Jones-Drew would be a value pick in 2013. The chances of him regaining that form are anybody's guess right now. Monitor his progress through training camp and the preseason.

BAL - RB Ray Rice cool with potential plan

Source: NFL Network

Baltimore Ravens RB Ray Rice said he's fine with RB Bernard Pierce seeing a few more carries.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Rice has to be good with the plan. It's a move that could keep him healthier and more effective as the season wears on. Pierce is a strong runner who gets to top speed in a hurry. We like the second-year back as a flex option in 2013. His current ADP is RB46 and he's coming off the board at 10.08 in 12 team leagues. Rice has seen his ADP fall slightly to RB7 and he's a mid first-round pick.

TEN - WR Nate Washington compares QB Jake Locker to big-name QB

Source: TitansInsider.com - Terry McCormick

Tennessee Titans WR Nate Washington sees similarities between QB Jake Locker and a young Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger. 'I was there in Ben's second year, and right away you kind of understood that even in his second year, he was gonna be a good quarterback, a guy that could make plays. That's the same thing with Jake,' Washington said. 'He's a guy who can make plays. I tell everybody all the time, this is football, and it's a gladiator sport, but it's not a dumb man's sport.'

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

High praise for Locker here. Like Roethlisberger, Locker is a big, strong, and athletic QB who can keep plays alive with his feet. The Titans have upgraded the O-Line and the weapons around Locker offensively. We'll see if he can start playing up to his potential in 2013.

TB - RB Michael Smith favored over rookie RB Mike James

Source: Cecil Lammey - ESPNDenver.com and Footballguys.com

The Buccaneers have an interesting battle at the backup RB position behind starter Doug Martin. Some have penciled in rookie Mike James (Miami) as the handcuff but that may not be the case. Scott Reynolds, from Pewter Report Magazine, tells Cecil Lammey that second-year RB Michael Smith has been getting some first-team work, nickel offense, and third-and-long reps with the first team this offseason. James has barely been used and is getting fewer reps than 5'5" Matt Brown at this time.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

An interesting situation for fantasy owners to monitor here. Doug Martin doesn't have durability problems but if you spend a high pick on him then handcuffing a guy like Smith in the last round makes sense (if you have a deep bench). Smith is an incredibly fast back who can cut crisply at speed. The team would likely use FB Brian Leonard a bit more if Martin went down.

BAL - RB Bernard Pierce held up, but OK

Source: WNST

Baltimore Ravens RB Bernard Pierce was robbed at gunpoint and carjacked this past weekend, according to CBS 3 in Philadelphia. He was reportedly not injured.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Wow. Glad to hear that Pierce is okay.

NYG - DE Justin Tuck talks about WR Victor Cruz situation

Source: ESPNNewYork.com - Ohm Youngmisuk

New York Giants DE Justin Tuck said he thinks WR Victor Cruz did the right thing by signing his RFA tender. 'I really think that is going to expedite things,' Tuck said. 'I hope it does. Obviously, everybody wants to see Victor back and he is a huge part of our success. Hopefully everything works out and I think he did the smart thing.'

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We could see a deal done between the two sides before training camp. Cruz is reportedly seeking a deal with $15-$18MM in guaranteed money. The Giants know that Cruz (undrafted out of UMass) has outplayed his original contract and is worth that kind of money.

PHI - Coach and QB Michael Vick have an understanding

Source: Twitter

Philadelphia Eagles QB Michael Vick said he and head coach Chip Kelly have an understanding after Vick made comments earlier in the offseason that he hoped a starter would be named by training camp. "Coach and I talked, and we have an understanding," Vick said. "I think the most important thing is the relationship that we have and continue to carry on, and the working relationship, which has been great. You're just trying to do what's best for this football team, and that's the reason I came back, to try and help this football team win games in the best way possible."

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The communication lines are wide open with new head coach Chip Kelly. Earlier this offseason he had a discussion with WR DeSean Jackson about his role and effort needed to star in 2013. We'll see Vick battle with second-year QB Nick Foles for the starting job in training camp.

SD - WR Keenan Allen worked with first team

Source: The San Diego Union-Tribune - Matthew T. Hall

San Diego Chargers WR Keenan Allen worked with the first-team offense on the final day of the team's minicamp WRs Danario Alexander and Eddie Royal dinged up with undisclosed injuries. Allen said he's comfortable with the playbook and the offense's terminology. 'He's done a nice job buying into what we're doing,' head coach Mike McCoy said. 'It's a change for him. We're moving guys around, and the skill-position guys really need to know every position because you never know when Philip is going to check at the line of scrimmage. You have an idea where you're playing, but when it comes to a formation, Philip can audible something whenever he wants. ... You've got to know every position.'

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Allen is an exciting prospect to watch in dynasty leagues. He's a linear athlete who can make difficult catches seem routine. This season Allen should get time to learn as the team's WR4/5 behind guys like Danario Alexander, Vincent Brown, Eddie Royal, and Malcom Floyd. His dynasty upside is strong and he could develop into a consistent WR2 in the near future.

MIN - ILB Desmond Bishop unsure of position

Source: ESPN.com - Kevin Seifert

Minnesota Vikings LB Desmond Bishop said he was not sure if he would play inside linebacker or outside linebacker. Bishop said there was nothing set in stone.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We have a feeling Bishop will be playing Inside Linebacker with Chad Greenway on the strong side and Erin Henderson on the weak side. So long as he's healthy the Vikings got a good deal picking him up on the open market. Bishop is smart, has a nose for the football, and is known as a sound tackler.

NFL - DT Richard Seymour not ruling out retirement

Source: SIRIUS XM NFL Radio

Free-agent DT Richard Seymour (Raiders) said he doesn't have any regrets about his career and would be fine with retiring if he isn't signed by a team this offseason. Seymour said he could have signed with a team if he wanted to by now, but he'll only do so if he receives the right offer. The Atlanta Falcons are closely tied to his services.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We think Seymour ends up playing this year. The Falcons may be the best fit for him as most think he won't end up back with the Patriots. Seymour's price tag is a bit high right now but perhaps the price will drop as we get into training camp.
