NE - Will sign QB Tim Tebow

Source: ESPN - Ed Werder

The New England Patriots will sign free-agent QB Tim Tebow (Jets) and expect him to report for the team's minicamp Tuesday, June 11.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

No real surprise here. Tebow will work as the team's QB3 behind Tom Brady and Ryan Mallett. Patriots OC Josh McDaniels was the Broncos head coach when the team selected Tebow in the first-round of the 2010 NFL draft. Bill Belichick has long been a fan of Urban Meyer Florida Gators and there's no doubt he'll find a way to use Tebow. CBS Sports reported that Tebow will study the TE position for New England as well.

NE - Could get involved in RB Ahmad Bradshaw talks

Source: ProFootballTalk.com

The New England Patriots could get involved in trying to sign free-agent RB Ahmad Bradshaw (Giants). Bradshaw is reportedly still in deep negotiations with the Indianapolis Colts but nothing has materialized yet.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It sounds just like the Patriots to get in the mix here. They added LeGarrette Blount earlier this offseason in a trade with the Buccaneers. Bradshaw would be a good fit for their offense because of his receiving ability. Currently they'll try Leon Washington in the Danny Woodhead role in 2013.

BAL - RB Vonta Leach cut

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Baltimore Ravens FB Vonta Leach said on his Twitter page that he has been released.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It was reported that the Ravens were not able to successfully negotiate a restructured contract with Leach. He was scheduled to have a $4.33 million salary cap figure this season.

WAS - QB Robert Griffin III looks ready

Source: SI.com - Peter King

Washington Redskins QB Robert Griffin III (knee) ran sprints around the practice field Thursday, June 6, and looks like he'll be ready for their late-July training camp. Griffin sprinted the 53-yard width of one of the end zones without limping. He then planted his twice repaired left knee and pivoted left up the sidelines.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

More good news for Griffin here. All reports about his recovery have been positive this offseason. At this point he's on track to start the regular season under center. The team is likely to limit him in training camp and the preseason.

IND - RB Ahmad Bradshaw deep in negotiations

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

The Indianapolis Colts are still in serious negotiations with free-agent RB Ahmad Bradshaw (Giants).

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Negotiations started last week but stalled before the weekend. We could see a deal materialize here in the near future. Bradshaw is a perfect fit for the new Pep Hamilton West Coast offense. If added it will hurt the fantasy value of Vick Ballard. Adding Bradshaw could also cause Donald Brown or Delone Carter to get bounced from the roster.

BUF - Release QB Tarvaris Jackson

Source: Twitter

The Buffalo Bills released QB Tarvaris Jackson Monday, June 10.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

No shocker here. Jackson was competing behind Kevin Kolb and rookie EJ Manuel (Florida State). Jeff Tuel will now be their third-string QB.

NYG - Manning expects WR Hakeem Nicks to be at minicamp

Source: New York Daily News - Gary Myers

New York Giants QB Eli Manning said he expects WR Hakeem Nicks to attend the team's upcoming minicamp. Manning said he has texted Nicks this offseason but does not know why Nicks skipped the organized team activities.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Nicks wants a new long-term contract but has durability concerns which may be causing a delay in negotiations. He could be fined if he misses the mandatory three day camp this week.

STL - WR Brian Quick tearing it up

Source: 101ESPN St. Louis - Tony Softli

St. Louis Rams WR Brian Quick has impressed with his play in OTAs. In the session Friday, June 7, he caught 17 or more passes from all over the field in all sorts of different routes.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Great news for the Rams here. Quick was a disappointment last year after the Rams selected him in the second-round of the 2012 NFL draft. He's got the size and speed to be a quality target. However, he needs to develop better 'my ball' mentality and use his frame to his advantage. It sounds like Quick is on the right track.

JAX - RB Maurice Jones-Drew will sit out minicamp

Source: The Florida Times-Union - Vito Stellino

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Maurice Jones-Drew (foot) said he will not be able to participate in the team's minicamp because of his foot injury. He said his rehab is on schedule and hopes to be ready for training camp.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Without Jones-Drew on the practice field we'll see more reps for guys like Justin Forsett and rookie Denard Robinson (Michigan). Jones-Drew is not the same player he used to be and is falling out of the top round in most fantasy drafts. His ADP is RB14 and he's coming off the board at 2.06 in most 12 team leagues.

STL - TE Jared Cook said TEN offense didn't fit him

Source: St. Louis Post-Dispatch - Joe Lyons

St. Louis Rams TE Jared Cook said the Tennessee Titans' offense didn't fit him, and he likes what he sees in St. Louis. 'I think I'm on an elevator going up,' Cook said.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Cook has amazing potential but he failed to live up to the hype during his days with the Titans. Now Cook gets a fresh start on the new look Rams offense. The team has surrounded QB Sam Bradford with better weapons than ever before and Cook is one of them. His current ADP is TE10 and he's coming off the board at 10.04 in 12 team leagues.

GB - QB Aaron Rodgers looking to play 7-8 more years

Source: Green Bay Press-Gazette - Mike Vandermause

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers said he would like to play seven or eight more seasons before he considers retirement. Rodgers said he expects to play well over the next seven seasons and would consider retirement at that point if the team wins a couple more championships.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Rodgers still isn't 30 years old. Playing for another 7-8 years at a high level is certainly possible. Some thought durability was a concern with Rodgers but he's only missed two games over the last two seasons.

TEN - TE Delanie Walker takes part in OTAs

Source: The Tennessean - Jim Wyatt

Tennessee Titans TE Delanie Walker (knee) participated in organized team activities Monday, June 10. Walker missed some of the OTAs because of knee soreness.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Walker is set to be the team's TE1 in 2013. He creates mismatches when he's on the field but needs to develop better concentration. During his time with the 49ers he was known to drop too many passes.

DEN - No contract talks with Ryan Clady

Source: USAToday.com - Lindsay H. Jones

The Denver Broncos have not had any contract talks with franchise free-agent OT Ryan Clady (shoulder) at this point because they want to see how his shoulder recovers.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

If Clady can prove his durability this season then he's set to earn a big money deal after the season. The Broncos did offer Clady a five-year $50MM deal in 2012 but he turned them down. That gamble got him slapped with the franchise tag this offseason. We'll learn if that gamble pays off for the veteran tackle in the future.

ARI - QB says S Tyrann Mathieu reminds him of Troy Polamalu

Source: SI.com - Peter King

Arizona Cardinals QB Carson Palmer said FS Tyrann Mathieu reminds him of Pittsburgh Steelers SS Troy Polamalu with his closing speed. 'He might not be the fastest guy out there, but he can change directions and get to the ball really fast, like Troy,' Palmer said.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The 'Honey Badger' is a ferocious player who plays bigger than his size. He's not quite the big hitter that Polamalu is, but Mathieu is always around the football and doesn't back down from a challenge.

BAL - OLB Terrell Suggs looks to be in great shape

Source: The Baltimore Sun - Jeff Zrebiec

Baltimore Ravens LB Terrell Suggs appears to be noticeably thinner that he was last season when he was coming back from his Achilles' tendon injury. There is still a question as to whether Suggs will be able to regain his explosion after the injury.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Good news for Suggs and the Ravens here. Achilles' injuries aren't the debilitating problem they used to be. Suggs is looking to regain his pre-injury form in 2013.
