SD - WR Vincent Brown rotating with starters

Source: Twitter

San Diego Chargers WR Vincent Brown is rotating with the starters during organized team activities. Brown, who was expected to have an expanded role in the offense in 2012 before missing the 2012 season with a broken ankle, is expected to have an expanded role in 2013.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Brown is a forgotten man in some fantasy circles, but he shouldn't be. He should be at full strength this year and is another weapon for QB Philip Rivers. Brown is a very good route runner and has strong hands.

PHI - QB Michael Vick protecting the ball better

Source: Philadelphia Sports Daily - Tim McManus

Philadelphia Eagles QB Michael Vick said he's finally protecting the ball properly in order to cut down on his turnovers. 'As crazy as it may sound, I never carried the football correctly. And that's partly my fault because my coaches always got everybody in a circle and did a four-points-of-pressure drill, and I never paid attention, thought I was doing it right. Now I know how to hold it. It feels comfortable, it's tight, so I'm just trying to challenge myself each and every day and that's what I'm doing,' Vick said.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Vick needs to focus on ball security if he wins the starting QB job in 2013. His athleticism makes him a good fit for the Chip Kelly offense. However, he needs to protect the ball and get rid of passes quicker if he wants to excel in the new system.

JAX - RB Maurice Jones-Drew expected to attend minicamp

Source: ESPN - Ed Werder

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Maurice Jones-Drew (foot) is expected to attend the team's mandatory minicamp next week but likely will not participate. He has been rehabbing his surgically repaired foot in Miami this offseason and has not been around for organized team activities. Jones-Drew did talk with general manager David Caldwell and head coach Gus Bradley about his incident with a security guard in Florida.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jones-Drew is entering the final year of his contract and not going to hold out like he did last year. We'll see how he fits in the new system, but expect Jones-Drew to still finish the year as a top 15 fantasy RB if he can stay healthy.

TEN - WR Kenny Britt looks sharp

Source: The Tennessean - Jim Wyatt

Tennessee Titans WR Kenny Britt (knee), who is entering the final season of his five-year contract, appeared to run routes during organized team activities (OTAs) without any signs of struggle. WR Kendall Wright feels Britt is healthy and ready to go. 'Kenny is healthy and he's doing good. He looks way different,' Wright said. 'He took his offseason serious and went and got his knees right.'

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Britt doesn't lack talent. In fact, he's flashed elite ability during his pro career. The problem has been staying healthy and producing consistently now that he's in a contract year.

CLE - RB Trent Richardson's durability in question?

Source: ESPNCleveland.com - Tony Grossi

The Cleveland Browns have stocked up at the running back position, and it might have to do somewhat with the injury history of RB Trent Richardson. However, it also has to do with the uncertainty at the fullback position.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Richardson was banged up last year as a rookie and it affected his play. He's been bothered by a minor shin injury most recently this offseason. If healthy Richardson has the physical ability to be a top 5 fantasy RB.

ARI - Teammate high on WR Michael Floyd

Source: CBSSports.com - Pat Kirwan

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald said he believes WR Michael Floyd is on the verge of having a big season.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Floyd has the skill set to be a dominant player at the NFL level. He's big, strong, and knows how to use his big frame to box out defenders. Floyd consistently high points passes and can be a reliable target in the red zone. We'll see if he can take that next step this year. His current ADP is WR60 in PPR leagues and he's coming off the board at 13.12 in 12 team leagues.

DET - RB Reggie Bush very confident in offense

Source: DetroitLions.com - Chrissie Wywrot

Detroit Lions RB Reggie Bush said he believes the team should have the top offense in the NFL this season. 'Honestly, I believe there's no excuse for us not to have the No. 1-ranked offense. We have all the right pieces and the necessary players here to be the top offense in the league. No excuse,' Bush said.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bush is a great fit for the Lions high powered offense. He'll give them a big play element at the RB position they've been missing since Jahvid Best got hurt. Bush will be the team's lead back and should finish as a top 15 fantasy RB. His current ADP is RB17 and he's coming off the board at 2.11 in 12 team leagues. Bump up his ADP a couple of spots in PPR leagues.

SD - QB Philip Rivers considering wearing gloves

Source: The San Diego Union-Tribune - Tom Krasovic

San Diego Chargers QB Philip Rivers has been experiencing wearing one and two gloves while practicing during organized team activities. He has also worked with no gloves during practice. Rivers said he probably will wear two gloves Week 1 but could take them off at some point during the game.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Broncos QB Peyton Manning wore gloves towards the end of last season under the watch of Mike McCoy. Rivers could experience a bounce back season under McCoy and is a nice value at his current ADP of QB19.

OAK - Wide open competition at TE

Source: The Oakland Tribune - Steve Corkran

Oakland Raiders head coach Dennis Allen said the competition for the starting tight end job is wide open because TEs David Ausberry, Richard Gordon and Mychal Rivera have done well during organized team activities. Allen said the team hopes TE Nick Kasa (hamstring) will be able to practice soon because they feel he can fill a role on offense.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The team lost Brandon Myers (Giants) in free agency and will have to find his replacement in the starting lineup. Ausberry is physically gifted, aggressive, and can rip away contested passes away from defenders. Kasa is a raw prospect with decent upside. He's only been playing TE for about a year and a half after spending most of his time at Colorado as a Defensive End.

ARI - Jonathan Cooper starting at LG

Source: The Associated Press

Arizona Cardinals OG Jonathan Cooper has been starting at left guard during organized team activities Monday, June 3. As of now, he'd be starting alongside OT Levi J. Brown, who was forced to sit out all of last season after tearing his right triceps in a preseason game. OG Daryn Colledge would shift over to the right side.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Cooper is a fantastic player and an instant upgrade for the Cardinals O-Line. He understands leverage and plays with good functional strength.

SEA - RB Marshawn Lynch misses practice

Source: The Seattle Times - Bob Condotta

Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch (undisclosed) did not participate in practice Monday, June 3.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Nothing to worry about here. Lynch is a seasoned pro and doesn't need every rep at OTAs.

ARI - Coach happy with WR group

Source: The Arizona Republic - Kent Somers

Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians said the team's wide receiver group is the strongest he has inherited since he started coaching. He said he likes the younger receivers on the team because of their speed and other attributes.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Cardinals have a good group of WRs with varying skill sets. Larry Fitzgerald had a down year in 2012 but should have a bounce back season this year. Second-year WR Michael Floyd is impressive and is looking to take the next step in his pro career. Andre Roberts is a fast slot receiver, while rookie Ryan Swope (Texas A&M) could be a standout player when healthy.

OAK - QB Terrelle Pryor still needs to work on things

Source: The Oakland Tribune - Steve Corkran

Oakland Raiders head coach Dennis Allen said QB Terrelle Pryor has made progress this offseason but still has things he needs to improve on. 'There's been no lack of effort on his part,' Allen said. 'Still, when you look at it, the quarterback position, he's still young in the position and there's still a lot of improvement he needs to make. He's got a great athletic skillset, but still some of the finer points about playing quarterback are still what he needs to continue to get better at.'

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Pryor is competing with rookie QB Tyler Wilson (Arkansas) to be the primary backup behind Matt Flynn. He may even have competition with UDFA Matt McGloin (Penn State).

ARI - Nate Potter could be moved inside

Source: The Arizona Republic - Kent Somers

The Arizona Cardinals have not ruled out the possibility of moving OT Nate Potter to guard. The team has not decided to make the switch at this point.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Cardinals have an upgraded O-Line this offseason. That will help them open holes for the ground game and protect QB Carson Palmer. The vertical offense of Bruce Arians requires a lot of time for the route to develop downfield.

ARI - WR Ryan Swope misses practice

Source: The Arizona Republic - Kent Somers

Arizona Cardinals WR Ryan Swope (head) did not participate in organized team activities Monday, June 3, apparently because of concussion-like symptoms stemming from the head injuries he suffered in college. Head coach Bruce Arians would not say what injury Swope was dealing with but does expect Swope to be fine.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Swope is incredibly talented as a WR but concussion problems caused him to slide to the sixth-round in the 2013 NFL draft. If healthy Swope could be a fine 'X' or slot receiver for the Cardinals. He has great hands, knows how to find soft spots in the zone, and is quick in and out of his breaks.

ATL - Could look to add veteran backup QB

Source: ESPN.com - Pat Yasinskas

The Atlanta Falcons could look to add a veteran backup quarterback during the preseason because the only players they have behind QB Matt Ryan are QBs Dominique Davis, Sean Renfree and Seth Doege.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Davis is an athletic QB but needs to work on his accuracy. Renfree (Duke) is an extremely intelligent player but he's a rookie who needs to prove his durability. Doege (Texas Tech) is a rookie as well but has a weak arm and is likely just a camp arm.

DEN - Rookie WR King impressing

Source: Cecil Lammey - ESPN Denver and Footballguys.com

Denver Broncos rookie WR Tavarres King (Georgia) had an impressive day of practice at Broncos minicamp on Monday. King is showing off his speed and eats up the cushion a defensive back gives him quickly.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

King was a solid pick by the Broncos in the fifth-round of the 2013 NFL draft. Some consider him a lock to make the roster because his speed can take the top off the defense in a hurry. King could be in for an even bigger role in 2014 if the Broncos lose WR Eric Decker in free agency after this season. Dynasty owners need to know King's name and realize his opportunity.

PIT - Le'Veon Bell signed

Source: NFL.com

The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed second-round draft choice RB Le'Veon Bell to a four-year deal. Financial terms were not disclosed.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bell should be the featured back for the Steelers this year. He's a big runner who is tough to bring down when he builds a head of steam. Bell can also be a good receiver out of the backfield and even line up outside if need be. We'll see if Bell's momentum style can work at the pro level, especially if the Steelers can't open big enough holes in 2013. We like Bell as a low end RB2 for your fantasy team. Draft him as an RB3 with upside if you can.

DEN - TE Thomas continues to impress

Source: Cecil Lammey - ESPN Denver and Footballguys.com

Denver Broncos third-year TE Julius Thomas continues to impress during the team's OTAs. Thomas is finally healthy and getting an opportunity to run with the first-team now that Joel Dreesen had a minor knee scope last week.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

A note for dynasty owners here. We'll see if Thomas has impressed enough to earn playing time when Dreesen is back for training camp. It's a make or break year for the former Portland State basketball star. He's got upside but may find it difficult to get onto the field in the team's new 11 personnel (3WR) base offense.

JAX - Working on ways to get ball to two rookies

Source: SI.com - Peter King

The Jacksonville Jaguars have been working on some offensive plays specifically designed to get the ball to RB Denard Robinson and WR Ace Sanders.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

An important note for fantasy owners here. Robinson is going to work as a RB even though he played QB in college at Michigan. He's an explosive playmaker who is dangerous in space. Sanders is a big play receiver who is elusive in the open field. He can help out as a return man as well.

CIN - Andre Smith still not at workouts

Source: Bengals.com - Geoff Hobson

Cincinnati Bengals OT Andre Smith (personal) was not present at the organized team activities Monday, June 3, because of personal issues and has missed all of the OTAs this offseason. OT Anthony Collins has been receiving most of the reps at right tackle with the first-team offense during workouts.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The workouts are voluntary but it's still a concern because Smith has never been known for his work ethic. The recently re-signed right tackle needs to stay focused now that he's been paid.

PHI - DeJean Jackson leaves agency

Source: The Philadelphia Inquirer - Jeff McLane

Philadelphia Eagles WR DeSean Jackson parted ways with agent Drew Rosenhaus and is looking to sign on with Jay-Z's Roc Nation Sports agency.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

That seems to be a popular move for athletes across all sports. We'll see if Jay-Z's agency lasts longer and does a better job than Master P's agency did years ago.

GB - DT B.J. Raji will be asked to attack

Source: NFL.com - Ian Rapoport

Green Bay Packers DL B.J. Raji will be asked to attack and create in 2013 like he did in 2010, when he recorded seven sacks. Raji is eating healthier and in shape. The Packers scheme is expected to help Raji.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Raji can be a disruptive player in the middle of the line. He needs to get in shape so he doesn't wear out near the end of games.

MIA - CB Brent Grimes completely healthy

Source: The Miami Herald - Barry Jackson

Miami Dolphins CB Brent Grimes (Achilles') said he is completely healthy after dealing with an Achilles' issue in 2012.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Good news for the Dolphins here. Grimes will start at left corner with Richard Marshall lined up on the right. Talented rookie Jamar Taylor (Boise State) will compete to be the nickel corner once he's fully recovered from sports hernia surgery.

PIT - OLB Jarvis Jones signed

Source: Pittsburgh Tribune-Review - Dejan Kovacevic

The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed first-round draft choice LB Jarvis Jones. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jones (Georgia) was a fantastic pick for the Steelers. He's known for his ability to rush the passer and should help the team immediately in that department. Jones used finesse (speed, spin or twist) moves on 11 of his 14.5 sacks, the highest total among AQ players rated 75 or higher by Scouts Inc.

HOU - CB Johnathan Joseph finally healthy

Source: CSNHouston.com - James Palmer

Houston Texans CB Johnathan Joseph (groin, hernia) was slowed by a sore groin and two sports hernias last season. 'With the groin issues and everything behind me and the sports hernia on both sides, I had both those fixed,' Joseph said. 'Now I have more pop, more explosion with my legs. I can run all day again.' Joseph had two interceptions, one returned for a touchdown, 11 passes defended and 53 tackles last season and went to his second straight Pro Bowl.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Great news for the Texans here. Joseph could be at the top of his game this year. That will give the team the ability to lock down an opponents top wide receiver.

ATL - Not close to signing DT Richard Seymour

Source: NFL.com - Marc Sessler

The Atlanta Falcons are in no rush to sign free-agent DT Richard Seymour (Raiders), and the two sides have 'nothing at this point.' Last week it was reported that the Falcons were the team most interested in Seymour. He is considering retirement, though, so he won't come back cheaply.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We'll see if Seymour's price tag will come down the longer the team waits. The Falcons have about $6MM in cap space right now and signing Seymour at this time would eat up a big chunk of that.
