Our users told us they wanted a great mobile drafting tool and we listened. We worked through the offseason combing through every type of league we could. We believe our end result is the most complex math algorithms created to best simulate any type of league. We don't have the computer teams just draft by Average Draft Position like our competitors do. We use a combination of VBD, ADP, position need, and a high degree of mathematics to power our Artificial Intelligence algorithms. It's this kind of attention to detail that people have come to expect from the Footballguys brand.

E. How to Attack Your Large PPR Draft
Our Jeff Tefertiller looks at using Value Based Drafting to determine how to attack your large PPR league. Jeff looks at how larger leagues affect positional scarcity and how that drives value differently for each position according to VBD principles.

F. Eyes of the Guru: NFC West
Our John Norton with an overview of defenses in the NFC West with an emphasis on individual defensive players and their fantasy value. If you play IDP, this is must read material as John breaks down each position on each here in the NFC West in great detail.

BAL - Have signed TE TE Dallas Clark

Source: Adam Schefter - ESPN

Adam Schefter, from ESPN, reports via Twitter that the Ravens have signed free agent TE Dallas Clark.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The move makes a lot of sense for the Ravens. Clark is not the same player he used to be but the Ravens could use the help at the TE position. TE Ed Dickson (hamstring) is banged up and Dennis Pitta (hip) is out for the year. Clark has experience with OC Jim Caldwell after their time together with the Colts.

IND - TE Dwayne Allen out

Source: ESPN.com - Mike Wells

Indianapolis Colts TE Dwayne Allen (foot) is out for a couple of weeks.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Allen is likely to miss the rest of the preseason in hopes to get him ready for the start of the regular season. In the meantime we'll see more from fellow second-year TE Coby Fleener. We should see Fleener's ADP rise as we get further into the month. His current ADP is TE20 and he's coming off the board at 13.11 in 12 team PPR leagues.

BAL - WR Brandon Stokley signed

Source: NFL.com

The Baltimore Ravens have signed free-agent WR Brandon Stokley (Broncos) to a one-year deal. Financial terms were not disclosed.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Stokley was originally a fourth-round pick by the Ravens back in 1999. He's familiar with OC Jim Caldwell's offense from their days together with the Colts. Stokley proved he could still play at this level last year with the Broncos when he compiled 45 catches for 544 yards and 5 touchdowns. Stokley may not much of a fantasy impact for the Ravens but will be in the mix for targets behind WR Torrey Smith.

NYJ - QB Geno Smith says ankle not 100 percent

Source: The Associated Press - Dennis Waszak Jr.

New York Jets QB Geno Smith (ankle) said his sprained ankle is not 100 percent healthy yet but wanted to participate in practice Sunday, Aug. 11.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Smith is competing with Mark Sanchez for the starting job in 2013. He should be ready to play next Saturday against the Jaguars. Smith may get a chance to start that game if he impresses in practice this week.

IND - WR T.Y. Hilton feels game is slowing down

Source: NFL Network

Indianapolis Colts second-year WR T.Y. Hilton said the game has really slowed down for him this season. He said he's able to read defenses better and has received a lot of help from QB Andrew Luck and WR Reggie Wayne in elevating his game to the next level.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's common to hear this from second-year players in the NFL. Hilton will be an interesting fit in the Pep Hamilton West Coast offense. He may not attack the field vertically that often but should be able to show off his run after the catch ability on shorter routes. Hilton showed strong chemistry with QB Andrew Luck and that should carry over to 2013.

PHI - RB LeSean McCoy to practice

Source: The Philadelphia Inquirer - Jeff McLane

Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy (knee) is scheduled to participate in practice Sunday, Aug. 11.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

McCoy's knee issue is considered minor and the team is just wisely being cautious with their star RB. He could be in for a sizable workload in the Chip Kelly run-heavy offense.

HOU - Looking to give equal reps in No. 2 QB competition

Source: Houston Chronicle - John McClain

Houston Texans head coach Gary Kubiak said he wants to give equal reps to QB T.J. Yates and Case Keenum as they battle for the No. 2 quarterback job. Keenum is expected to replace QB Matt Schaub in the second preseason game like Yates was the second quarterback in during the first preseason game.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's a concern for dynasty owners that Yates is not standing out from Keenum at this time. Yates is entering his third year in the NFL but may not have the developmental upside the Texans originally envisioned when the selected him in the fifth-round of the 2011 NFL draft. Keenum went undrafted in 2012 but was ultra-productive in college at the University of Houston. He can make quick decisions and is accurate on short/underneath routes. His arm strength is weak and he has to wind up for passes longer than 15 yards.

DEN - Ryan Clady works with team

Source: The Denver Post - Caitlin Swieca

Denver Broncos OT Ryan Clady (shoulder) participated in some team drills during practice Saturday, Aug. 10. Clady had been limited to individual drills because of his shoulder injury.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Clady is getting closer to a full return to the practice field. The team handed him a new big money deal earlier this offseason and want him ready for the start of the regular season.

TEN - WR Justin Hunter having some struggles

Source: The Tennessean - Jim Wyatt

Tennessee Titans WR Justin Hunter has shown inconsistent hands and a passive approach during training camp, which has frustrated the coaching staff.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hunter has to show better effort if he wants to play up to his potential as a pro. His hands have always been inconsistent dating back to his days in college at Tennessee.

TEN - WR Kendall Wright having solid camp

Source: The Tennessean - Jim Wyatt

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright has been a reliable pass catcher during offseason workouts and training camp even though he dropped a pass in the team's first preseason game. Wright has looked faster since losing weight and has been making several acrobatic catches.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Wright is an interesting second-year WR to consider in your fantasy drafts this year. His current ADP is WR57 and he's coming off the board at 13.09 in 12 team PPR leagues. He's got the speed to get by defenders quickly and could become a trusted target for QB Jake Locker.

TEN - RB Chris Johnson looking good at camp

Source: The Tennessean - Jim Wyatt

Tennessee Titans RB Chris Johnson has looked fresher and more explosive during training camp than he did last season. He has also been catching the ball better than last season.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Johnson looked like the CJ2K fantasy owners fell in love with on his 58-yard TD in the team's preseason game against the Redskins. We may see his ADP creep up a bit (RB11) if he continues to shine in August.

DAL - WR Cole Beasley to miss practice time

Source: The Dallas Morning News - Brandon George

Dallas Cowboys WR Cole Beasley (foot) was in a walking boot Saturday, Aug. 10, and is expected to miss some practice time this week. An MRI done on Beasley's foot revealed sprained ligaments and some bone bruising.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Beasley is battling for the WR3 job behind Dez Bryant and Miles Austin. He's trying to stand out this preseason more than Terrence Williams and Dwayne Harris.

TEN - One signed, two cut

Source: The Tennessean - Jim Wyatt

The Tennessee Titans signed free-agent S Corey Lynch (Chargers). They waived DE Thaddeus Gibson and S Robert Johnson.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Lynch is a good special teams player and that's where he could make his mark. He was known in college at Appalachian State for being a kick blocking specialist.

MIN - Sharrif Floyd to undergo MRI

Source: St. Paul Pioneer Press - Ben Goessling

Minnesota Vikings DT Sharrif Floyd (knee) is scheduled to undergo an MRI on his left knee after he experience some soreness in the knee.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We'll know more about this supposed minor knee injury when the results are released. Floyd is a talented rookie from Florida who is an ultra-quick three technique who has experience lining up all over the defensive line.

DAL - Unsure if DT Jay Ratliff will play in preseason

Source: ESPNDallas.com - Tim MacMahon

Dallas Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones said he is not sure if DT Jay Ratliff (hamstring) will be able to play in any of the remaining preseason games but does not think he needs to play in the preseason. 'I知 interested in him being in shape. I知 interested in him having the best chance to play as much as he can during the season. I don稚 have any desire to see him make a lot of plays in preseason. I know what he can do,' Jones said.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's pretty bad when a guy gets injured during his conditioning test. Hamstring injuries are known to linger if not properly treated. Jones is adamant Ratliff will be ready but there's no way of knowing for sure until we get closer to the start of the year.

TB - Da'Quan Bowers not in top shape

Source: Tampa Bay Times - Stephen Holder

Tampa Bay Buccaneers DE Da'Quan Bowers said he is not in the best shape this season but believes he has done well during training camp. 'I think I知 still a little winded at times,' Bowers said. 'I知 still not in the best shape. I知 still getting used to the speed of practice. But other than that, (training camp) has been decent.'

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This isn't what the Buccaneers want to hear. They need Bowers and DE Adrian Clayborn to improve their pass rush this year. Losing DE Michael Bennett (Seahawks) in free agency could greatly impact their sack numbers in 2013.
