PHI - QB Michael Vick a frequent visitor to facility

Source: NationalFootballPost.com - Dan Pompei

Philadelphia Eagles QB Michael Vick has spent a lot of time at the team's facility this offseason because he wants to be in top physical shape after a disappointing 2011 season. He is also working on the mental aspect of the game since he turned the ball over 18 times in 13 games last season.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

No quarterback was hurt by no offseason as much as Vick was. He could be a great value in the fifth round or later if he can stay healthy, which is never a given for him.

NE - Rob Gronkowski's deal unlikely to affect WR Wes Welker

Source: ESPNBoston.com - Mike Reiss

The New England Patriots' signing of TE Rob Gronkowski is not expected to affect long-term contract talks with WR Wes Welker because the salary cap hits in the early years in Gronkowski's contract are low enough to fit Welker under the cap.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Patriots seem unwilling to sign Welker to more than a two or three-year deal. He may play under his franchise tag contract this year.

SEA - QB situation too close to call

Source: 710 ESPN Seattle - Liz Mathews

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin said Saturday, June 9, that right now it is hard to tell the distance between offseason acquisition QB Matt Flynn and last season's starter QB Tarvaris Jackson.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jackson was considered a clear underdog to Flynn after the former Green Bay backup was signed to a three-year deal with ten million dollars guaranteed. Flynn either isn't clearly outperforming him, or Baldwin is being diplomatic to his incumbent starting quarterback. Fantasy owners of Seattle wideouts should be rooting for Flynn.

GB - Alex Green may not be ready for start of camp

Source: Green Bay Press-Gazette - Pete Dougherty

Green Bay Packers RB Alex Green (knee) said he is not sure if he will be ready to practice when training camp begins. Green could start camp on the Physically Unable to Perform list but it does not appear like the team believes he will start the season on the list. He has not been running at full speed at this point but has been able to do cutting drills.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

James Starks is the odds-on favorite to be the closest thing the Packers have to a lead back, but the running game will likely stay neglected and split up amongst at least three backs.

HOU - Could sign WR Mike Sims-Walker

Source: ProFootballWeekly.com - Arthur Arkush

The Houston Texans may consider signing free-agent WR Mike Sims-Walker (Jaguars) this offseason if they want to add an experienced wide receiver.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Lestar Jean could capture the number three job, but after that, the Texans are looking at rookies and very inexperienced players.

CLE - Believe Greg Little will play better

Source: NationalFootballPost.com - Dan Pompei

The Cleveland Browns believe WR Greg Little will take a step forward in his play and production this season. The team thinks his drops last season were due to concentration issues and not that he has bad hands. Their expectations are part of the reason they did not add a wide receiver this offseason.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Little will also have a quarterback that fed a very similar number one wide receiver in Brandon Weeden. Justin Blackmon's game is like Little's and Weeden should target him early and often.

MIA - Daniel Thomas says injuries hurt play in 2011

Source: The Miami Herald - Barry Jackson

Miami Dolphins RB Daniel Thomas said knee and hamstring injuries affected his play last season and took some of his burst away. Thomas also said his lack of leg drive was the reason he averaged only 1.9 yards on average after contact.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Thomas was excellent in the first two games he played last year in weeks two and three, with over 200 yards rushing and a receiving touchdown. He was never the same after re-aggravating the hamstring injury that caused him to miss week one.

TB - QB Josh Freeman fine with run-first offense

Source: Tampa Bay Times - Stephen Holder

Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Josh Freeman said he would not be opposed to having a run-first offense this season because it would allow him to throw against defenses that would be concentrating on stopping the run. Freeman said he also does not care what kind of offense the team uses as long as the team is winning games.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Not exactly a recipe for fantasy stardom, but even an incremental improvement from Freeman will make him a very good fantasy backup quarterback.

BUF - Dorin Dickerson saw a lot of time during OTAs

Source: BuffaloBills.com - Chris Brown

Buffalo Bills TE Dorin Dickerson saw a lot of time on offense during organized team activities this offseason. Dickerson is seeing a lot of time because the coaches want to see if he can be a capable H-back in the offense.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Dickerson has terrific size and speed, but the Texans and Colts didn't figure out how to use him on offense. Maybe the offensive mind of head coach Chan Gailey can.

NYJ - May consider signing WR Braylon Edwards

Source: ESPNNewYork.com - Rich Cimini

The New York Jets could consider signing free-agent WR Braylon Edwards (49ers) this offseason because they do not have a lot of experience at wide receiver behind WR Santonio Holmes.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Two of Edwards most likely destinations are also former teams of his. The Jets drafted a big target, Stephen Hill, in the second round this year, so Edwards could be riding the pine behind a rookie if the Jets do sign him.

NE - Donte' Stallworth seeing time as returner

Source: ESPNBoston.com - Mike Reiss

New England Patriots WR Donte' Stallworth worked as a kick returner during organized team activities Thursday, June 8. Stallworth has not returned kicks in a regular season game since 2003.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Stallworth is still far from a lock to make the team even with Chad Ochocinco out of the picture, so any little bit of value he can add helps.

CAR - ILB Jon Beason willing to change positions

Source: The Associated Press

Carolina Panthers LB Jon Beason said he is willing to move to outside linebacker if the team asks him to this season. Beason has been working at middle linebacker during organized team activities but may have to move to outside linebacker if the team wants LB Luke Kuechly to be the middle linebacker.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Panthers didn't draft Kuechly to be an outside linebacker. Look for the change to happen in training camp.
