KC - Believe RB Jamaal Charles will be ready for 2012

Source: ProFootballTalk.com

The Kansas City Chiefs have no concerns whatsoever about RB Jamaal Charles' (knee) readiness for the 2012 season.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Missing OTAs is simply a precaution as the team expects to have Charles back when training camp starts in August. Charles could really shine in the new offense designed by Brian Daboll.

NE - Shane Vereen, Stevan Ridley expected to get most carries

Source: ESPNBoston.com - Mike Reiss

New England Patriots RBs Shane Vereen and Stevan Ridley are expected to get a majority of the carries this season if they both stay healthy.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Ridley is likely to be the lead ball carrier as the team looks to replace BenJarvus Green-Ellis. Vereen has the best all-around skill set, but the Patriots love to rotate backs. Joseph Addai was added for veteran insurance, and Danny Woodhead will still get touches as a change of pace back too.

TEN - OC happy with RB Chris Johnson's attendance

Source: The Tennessean - Jim Wyatt

Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator Chris Palmer said he is pleased that RB Chris Johnson is participating in organized team activities this offseason and is impressed with how he has performed so far.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

In previous offseasons Johnson has worked out away from the facility in Orlando. This is a good sign for the veteran RB as he looks to bounce back from a disappointing 2011. Johnson can still be a reliable RB1 and his current ADP is around the 1.07 pick.

WAS - Robert Griffin has plenty to learn

Source: Sports Radio Interviews

Washington Redskins WR Santana Moss believes QB Robert Griffin III has the talent to be successful; however, he will need time to develop. 'It's one of those situations where he is a young guy and at the end of the day, regardless how much his skill level is better than other young guys like himself, he still has to learn a lot,' Moss said. 'So that's one thing I want everyone to understand that he comes here with the big hope of turning everything around. We are all hoping that. We all want that, but I don't want that pressure on him as if he has to be the one. Together we have to be a team around him to help him bring us to where we have to be at.'

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We agree with the veteran WR here. Griffin is an amazing playmaker, but has to develop as a pro QB. First, he needs to get comfortable with taking snaps from under Center. Then he needs to learn how to get through his reads and progressions quickly. Pre-snap reads are also something a young QB must become adept at.

BUF - QB Ryan Fitzpatrick looking to improve mechanics

Source: BuffaloBills.com - Chris Brown

Buffalo Bills QB Ryan Fitzpatrick said he watched tape with quarterbacks coach David Lee and was shown the mechanical flaws he had last season. Lee has worked on improving Fitzpatrick's mechanics and can see an improvement so far during offseason workouts.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Bills use more four- and five-WR sets than anybody else in the league, and Fitzpatrick could be a nice value pick as a QB2. His current ADP has him selected in the late twelfth-round.

PHI - QB Mike Kafka clear favorite for No. 2 job

Source: DelawareOnline.com - Geoff Mosher

Philadelphia Eagles QB Mike Kafka is the clear favorite for No. 2 quarterback job this season because he has gotten the second most reps during organized team activities behind only QB Michael Vick.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

No surprise here. Trent Edwards has failed to impress and is clearly behind Kafka in the pecking order. If Edwards doesn't play better he could easily get cut in training camp. Rookie Nick Foles is a lock as the third-string, developmental QB in 2012.

KC - Coach explains RB Dexter McCluster's work at WR

Source: KCChiefs.com - Josh Looney

Kansas City Chiefs head coach Romeo Crennel said RB Dexter McCluster has been working with the wide receivers during organized team activities because he already knows what to do at running back and needs more reps at wide receiver.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Crennel insists the Chiefs will use McCluster at both positions this year. With Jamaal Charles and Peyton Hillis on the roster we don't see McCluster getting used a whole lot at RB in 2012. His fantasy value is extremely low, and we don't see the value getting much higher.

TEN - Kendall Wright taking part in OTAs

Source: The Tennessean - Jim Wyatt

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright has been participating in organized team activities even though he has not signed a contract.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Wright is going to be more involved in the offense than some people think. With Kenny Britt missing time as he recovers from his knee injury it's allowed Wright the opportunity to show what he can do. The Titans first-round pick is an explosive playmaker with good run after the catch ability. He reminds many in the scouting community of the Panthers Steve Smith.

DEN - RB Knowshon Moreno fighting for roster spot

Source: NFL.com

Denver Broncos RB Knowshon Moreno is currently fighting for a roster spot. Moreno has been struggling to stand out in the team's crowded backfield during offseason workouts.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Moreno could work well as a change of pace back in a Peyton Manning offense. However, he'll have to outplay guys like Mario Fannin and Lance Ball for a roster spot behind Willis McGahee and Ronnie Hillman on the depth chart.

PHI - QB Jeff Garcia wants to join team

Source: CSNPhilly.com

Free-agent QB Jeff Garcia (Texans) said he would join the Philadelphia Eagles in a heartbeat if head coach Andy Reid gave him a call. In fact, Garcia added he would pay the Eagles to join them. 'I'm picking up the phone and saying, 'Andy, how much do you want me to pay you so I can come in and get things fired up around there?'' Garcia said. 'I'd pay to play, that's just me. I can be that person who can continue to motivate and inspire and help teach and educate. And if given the opportunity to step on the field, I'm going to give everything I have to find success, no matter how it happens.'

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Eagles seem set at the QB position right now. Starter Michael Vick is backed up by Mike Kafka, and the Eagles drafted Nick Foles this year to develop. Even though Garcia is offering to pay we don't think the Eagles will bite.

CAR - ILB Jon Beason critical of Alex Smith comments

Source: The Associated Press

Carolina Panthers LB Jon Beason responded to San Francisco 49ers QB Alex Smith via Twitter after comments he perceived were a slam on QB Cam Newton. Beason wrote, 'Alex smith, don't hate on Cam (because) your stats would've gotten u cut if Peyton decided to come 2 San Fran. Truth b told. That's after a 13-3 yr.' Smith used Newton as an example earlier this week that big stats don't always equate to wins.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Smith has the benefit of playing with a world-class defense and an amazing ground game. We'll see if the added weapons to the passing game (Randy Moss, Mario Manningham, A.J. Jenkins) help him put up better numbers and get to the Super Bowl in 2012.

DAL - Morris Claiborne expected to start Week 1

Source: The Dallas Morning News - Jon Machota

Dallas Cowboys CB Morris Claiborne (wrist) is expected to start in Week 1 of the 2012 season, even though he has yet to take part in offseason workouts.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Claiborne should be 100% ready to go by the start of training camp. Seen as the best cover CB in the 2012 Draft Class, Claiborne has drawn comparisons to a young Champ Bailey. Adding him and free agent Brandon Carr was a huge upgrade for the Cowboys secondary this offseason.

DAL - CB Mike Jenkins available for right price ?

Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Although Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett said this week that the team would not trade CB Mike Jenkins, a league source familiar with the situation said he believed a trade could be worked out for the right price.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jenkins could be expendable for the right price. The Cowboys upgraded their secondary by adding Morris Claiborne in the first-round of the 2012 NFL Draft. They also added arguably the best free agent CB this year, Brandon Carr.
