The Buffalo Bills have signed free-agent QB Vince Young (Eagles) to a one-year deal. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
A great landing spot for Young as he'll get to work under Chan Gailey. The Bills head coach is known to get the most out of QBs he works with as evidenced by the production he got from guys like Tyler Thigpen and Kordell Stewart.
SF - Coach has been impressed with WR Randy Moss
Source: Sacramento Bee - Matt Barrows
San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh said he has been impressed with WR Randy Moss during offseason workouts.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Moss is trying to regain his form after missing all of the 2011 season. He bounced around to three different teams in 2010 and seemed to lose his motivation.
DET - Mikel Leshoure pleads guilty to misdemeanor charge
Source: Detroit Free Press - George Sipple
Detroit Lions RB Mikel Leshoure pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana and will have to pay $575 in fines. Leshoure will be required to show the judge proof of compliance with a treatment program conducted through the NFL when he is in court again next May.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
The NFL will be testing Leshoure two to three times a week as part of the program but the number of tests will decrease with time.
DET - Mikel Leshoure unsure about possible suspension
Source: Detroit Free Press - Dave Birkett
Detroit Lions RB Mikel Leshoure said he is not sure if he will receive a suspension from the NFL for pleading guilty to a misdemeanor marijuana charge.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
With two offenses this offseason we could see the league handing out a suspension. LeShoure is trying to rehab from a Achilles' injury.
NYJ - WR Santonio Holmes says disagreements with QB overblown
Source: New York Daily News - Manish Mehta
New York Jets WR Santonio Holmes said his disagreements with QB Mark Sanchez have been overblown by the media and the two have never had any serious disagreements. 'From my perspective and Mark's perspective, everything was blown out of proportion,' Holmes said. 'We never had any real serious disagreements. All that stuff was just blown up from other people. We let it be. That’s why we never talked about it… That’s why we never cared to share anything about it, because we know nothing happened.'
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
We shall see if Holmes can have better chemistry with Sanchez this year. If Sanchez wants to keep the starting job away from Tim Tebow he'll need to be more consistent in the early part of the season.

The New York Giants signed first-round pick RB David Wilson to a four-year deal with an option for a fifth year Friday, May 11. Financial terms weren't given.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Wilson is a very talented back who reminds many in the scouting community of Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles. He will be a backup behind Ahmad Bradshaw this year and is a threat to score from anywhere on the field.
HOU - QB Matt Schaub to sit out team drills in workouts
Source: HoustonTexans.com - Nick Scurfield
Houston Texans QB Matt Schaub (foot) will not be participating in team drills during workouts this offseason because of his injured foot.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
No surprise here. Schaub is reportedly ahead of schedule on his rehab, but there's no need to rush him back to practice. This will open up opportunity for guys like T.J. Yates, Case Keenum, and John Beck to get more reps.
SF - A.J. Jenkins says he needs to get in shape
Source: San Francisco Chronicle - Eric Branch
San Francisco 49ers WR A.J. Jenkins said he needs to get in shape this offseason after struggling with his stamina during practice Friday, May 11. Jenkins said the traveling and being away from home during the draft process affected his shape.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Not a good sign for the rookie here. Jenkins is a talented player who knows how to run routes precisely. He'll have to get into better shape if he wants to make an impact as a rookie.
CLE - Open to adding veteran WR
Source: ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley
Cleveland Browns president Mike Holmgren said the team will be open to the possibility of signing a veteran wide receiver in free agency after they did not take a receiver early in the 2012 NFL Draft. Holmgren said the team likes WRs Greg Little and Mohamed Massaquoi and believe WR Travis Benjamin will contribute on offense.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
The Browns need serious help with their passing game. Little is talented but struggled with drops last year. Carlton Mitchell was ineffective as a deep WR because he could outrun Colt McCoy's arm. Massaquoi is a middling grade talent and struggles to get open. Their most consistent receiver may be slot WR Jordan Norwood.
DET - Ryan Broyles not taking part in practice
Source: DetroitLions.com - Tim Twentyman
Detroit Lions WR Ryan Broyles (knee) is not participating in practice Friday, May 11, because of his knee injury.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
No surprise here. Broyles is back to running, but is still rehabbing the knee injury he sustained last October. We expect the team to be very cautious with him as he continues to rehab.
CLE - Not ready to say Phil Taylor to miss season
Source: The Cleveland Plain Dealer - Mary Kay Cabot
Updating a previous report, Cleveland Browns head coach Pat Shurmur said he is not ready to say that DT Phil Taylor (pectoral) will miss the entire 2012 season but did acknowledge it is a possibility.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Most pectoral injuries do force a player to miss the entire season, but Taylor suffered this injury four months before the start of the year. It's possible he could come back at the midway point of the season if his rehab goes well.
That'll do it for today, Folks. Thanks for reading and we'll see you tomorrow with the update. Remember those Moms.
Peace, J
