SF - RB Frank Gore said he has plenty left

Source: NFL.com - Marc Sessler

San Francisco 49ers RB Frank Gore feels he has plenty left in the tank despite the team's plans to ease his workload in coming years. RBs Brandon Jacobs, Kendall Hunter, Anthony Dixon, Rock Cartwright and LaMichael James are all on roster and will threaten Gore's playing time. 'I feel like I still got a lot left in my tank,' Gore said. 'I want to show it off that I still got a lot left in my tank and I can play at a high level. I will play at a high level as long as God blesses me to be healthy so I can go out and do something that I love.'

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Gore could be stronger than ever with a reduced workload. He'll still be the lead back for the team, but we'll see Brandon Jacobs in some short yardage and goalline situations. We could also see both Kendall Hunter and LaMichael James replace Gore in some obvious passing situations.

KC - RB Charles vows to return as same player

Source: Adam Teicher - Kansas City Star

Adam Teicher, from the Kansas City Star, reports via Twitter that Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles vows to return as the same player he was before the knee injury.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Charles will be 12 months removed from the injury by the time the regular season begins and should be close to full strength. The Chiefs added Peyton Hillis is free agency and will use him in a RBBC with Charles. This rotation should help keep Charles fresh in 2012.

STL - QB Sam Bradford reassured by team

Source: NFL.com

The St. Louis Rams informed QB Sam Bradford that they would not be selecting another quarterback in the 2012 NFL Draft. 'Pretty much from the beginning, they told me that I was their guy and that I had no reason to worry about them taking a quarterback in this draft,' Bradford said.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Rams have a lot invested in Bradford and want him to bounce back after a rough 2011 season. They added more weapons in the passing game like WRs Brian Quick and Chris Givens. We'll see if he can play up to his potential this year under the guidance of head coach Jeff Fisher and offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer.

HOU - Going to be careful with QB Schaub in OTAs

Source: HoustonTexans.com

Texans head coach Gary Kubiak recently told HoustonTexans.com that the team would be careful with QB Matt Schaub in Offseason Training Activities. "We're going to put the reins on him, so to speak. He will do drill work, could throw some 7-on-7, but he will not be put in a team environment where he might get tripped up or something like that happens. He's ready to go. It's us being cautious with him right now." Kubiak said.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Schaub (foot) is ahead of schedule in his recovery from foot surgery last season, but the team will be very cautious with him so the injury is not aggravated. This will give more reps to second-year QB T.J. Yates and rookie Case Keenum.

IND - Can't fly Andrew Luck around

Source: NFL.com - Gregg Rosenthal

Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay will not be allowed to offer up his private plane to fly QB Andrew Luck around the country to work out with his teammates because it is against the league rules. Luck still plans to travel to Miami to work out with WR Reggie Wayne.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We don't think Luck will have a problem finding a way to Florida to work out with his new teammates.

MIA - Rookie QB Tannehill will get shot to start

Source: Ben Volin - Palm Beach Post

Ben Volin, from the Palm Beach Post, reports rookie QB Ryan Tannehill will be given every opportunity to win the starting job for the Dolphins in training camp.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Tannehill has the potential to be a franchise QB if he can develop on his raw skill set. His former college coach Mike Sherman is the Dolphins new Offensive Coordinator so the transition from college to the pros should be a little smoother for the rookie. We think Matt Moore ends up winning the job in camp, but it wouldn't surprise us to see Tannehill inserted as the starter at some point during the season.

PHI - QB Edwards likes his opportunity

Source: Les Bowen - Philadelphia Daily News

Les Bowen, from the Philadelphia Daily News, reports veteran QB Trent Edwards likes the opportunity he's getting with the Eagles. "I feel like here, there's a lot of stability. The coaches have been here for years, the quarterback has been successful," Edwards said. "That's what was most exciting for me, was the opportunity to work with these coaches. The players in this organization are as talented as it comes, and for me in my position, and where I'm at in my career, I wanted that chance to come out here and do that ... every quarterback that's played in this system has done well. It's geared toward making the quarterback perform at a high level."

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Edwards will compete with Mike Kafka to be the primary backup behind Michael Vick. Rookie Nick Foles should be locked in as the third-string QB as he develops his pro game. This means Edwards or Kafka are in danger of losing their job as we don't expect the Eagles to carry four QBs.

MIA - Rookie TE Egnew an immediate threat?

Source: Ben Volin - Palm Beach Post

Ben Volin, from the Palm Beach Post, believes rookie TE Michael Egnew can be an immediate threat in the middle of the field and in the Red Zone because of his size/speed combination.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Egnew is strictly a move TE and cannot be counted on as a blocker. It will be difficult for him to get on the field this year with guys like Charles Clay and Anthony Fasano in front of him on the depth chart.

SF - WR Williams in danger of being cut?

Source: Matt Maiocco - CSN Bay Area

Matt Maiocco, from CSNBayArea.com, reports via Twitter that he believes WR Kyle Williams will face stiff competition for a roster spot.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The 49ers have added multiple weapons to the WR corps this offseason. In free agency they added both Randy Moss and Mario Manningham. Then they surprised some by selecting WR A.J. Jenkins in the first-round of the 2012 NFL Draft. Williams mistake filled NFC Championship game certainly put his roster spot in danger.

SF - RB Dixon in danger of being cut?

Source: Matt Maiocco - CSN Bay Area

Matt Maiocco, from CSNBayArea.com, reports via Twitter that he believes RB Anthony Dixon will face stiff competition for a roster spot.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Dixon has failed to live up to expectations as he's been too indecisive when running in the pros. He'll likely be cut since the 49ers added veteran Brandon Jacobs in free agency and LaMichael James in the Draft.

WAS - WR Robinson anxious to show off speed

Source: John Keim - Washington Examiner

John Keim, from the Washington Examiner, reports second-year WR Aldrick Robinson is anxious to show off his speed in training camp this year. "That's my main attribute. That's the one thing that puts me above others, now that I know the offense and I'm comfortable with it I can show my speed, get in and out of breaks and catch the ball. Robinson said.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Robinson is going to have to standout as a Kick/Punt Returner as the Redskins WR corps is jam packed. He'll compete with guys like Terrence Austin and Brandon Banks for the final spot at the WR position.

ARI - QB Lindley a future starter?

Source: Adam Green - ArizonaSports.com

Adam Green, from ArizonaSports.com, reports that Ron Jaworski from ESPN believes Cardinals rookie QB Ryan Lindley could develop into a quality starter sometime in the next four years. "I think in four years he'll be a starting quarterback," Jaworski said. "You can't have enough good quarterbacks on your football team, and you create value at that position even if somewhere down the road you have to move one or two of them."

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Lindley had arguably the strongest arm in the 2012 NFL Draft. He's got good bucket accuracy on downfield throws but lacks consistent accuracy. Lindley struggles his senior season after losing WRs Demarco Sampson and Vincent Brown to the NFL, and head coach Brady Hoke to Michigan. He could develop into a starter for the Cardinals, or they could deal him for picks in the future.

CIN - Bigger role for WR Tate in 2012?

Source: Geoff Hobson - Bengals.com

Geoff Hobson, from Bengals.com, reports WR Brandon Tate could be asked to play a bigger role in 2012. The team is looking for a No. 2 WR opposite A.J. Green and the competition is wide open with several players vying for one spot. "Whatever the team needs me to do, I'm fine with it," Tate said. "I'm just excited about the opportunity."

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Tate will compete for the job with rookies like Mohammed Sanu and Marvin Jones. Second-year WR Armon Binns will also be competing for the same position. Tate has made an impact as a KR so far during his career but injuries have prevented him from playing up to his potential. With his size/speed combination he could be a good fit opposite Green.

SEA - High hopes for WR Lockette

Source: Brady Henderson - 710 ESPN

Brady Henderson, from AM 710 ESPN, reports Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll has high hopes for second-year WR Ricardo Lockette. "This is a guy that we really see a big future in," Carroll said. "He's got tremendous speed. ... [He's] a very, very raw player but a guy that we really see a lot of great stuff in in the future and hopefully he can gain a spot on this team and play a role."

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Lockette's game is built on elite speed. He's not developed as a route runner but has the ability to stretch defenses vertically. Lockette will compete for playing time behind Sidney Rice, Mike Williams, and Doug Baldwin.

ATL - RB Ovie Mughelli released

Source: WSB-TV 2 - Zach Klein

The Atlanta Falcons released FB Ovie Mughelli.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

When the Falcons selected Bradie Ewing in the fifth-round of the 2012 NFL Draft it created a lot of speculation that Mughelli would be released.

GB - CB Charles Woodson willing to change positions

Source: NFL.com

Green Bay Packers CB Charles Woodson said he's willing to move to free safety this year if the team needs him there. 'I think that it comes down to what the other guys are going to be able to do as far as the cornerback position is concerned,' Woodson said. 'If one of those guys can take over that role and make the plays that need to be made at corner ... with Nick Collins leaving, (and if) they need me to play safety, I'm not opposed to that.'

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Woodson isn't the same player he used to be and a switch to Free Safety may be in the near future. He's a strong open field tackler and has the athletic ability to cover in space.

SD - Agree with Melvin Ingram

Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

The San Diego Chargers agreed to terms with first-round pick LB Melvin Ingram on a four-year deal Tuesday, May 8. The contract includes an option for a fifth season. Financial terms weren't released.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Chargers are counting on Ingram to make an instant impact as a pass rusher this year. Ingram is a strong pass rusher off the edge who can bullrush Offensive Tackles or spin inside to get to the Quarterback. He's also athletic enough to cover move Tight Ends if asked to.
