Check them out and see what you think. And of course, we've got all the News and Notes you'll want to keep up with. Plenty to dig into so let's get to it. JSITE NEWS
A.
Projections Dominator Application
One of the things we like doing at Footballguys is being able to offer our guys the option of tweaking our data if they'd like to. Our Projections Dominator is one of those features. Readers can use it to manipulate our projections in ways that make them more usable to YOU. Which bottom line, is what we're all about.
B.
Draft Dominator Application
I wish I had a dollar for every email I've received from readers telling me the Draft Dominator was the key to their success. It's that good. I admit I get excited and maybe even carried a way a little about some of our features. But seriously, this thing rocks. You have to check it out.
C.
VBD Application
The Draft Dominator is the new sexy app, our VBD Excel app is the good old standby. Not as pretty and doesn't have all the bells and whistles, but for many folks, they still love it. So we love it too. Knock yourselves out and go Old Skool.

STL - Rams future in St. Louis shaky?
Source: Mike Sando, ESPN.com
Bernie Miklasz, columnist for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, just let followers know that the Rams have retained Goldman Sachs to help find a buyer for the team, and that selling to an out-of-town buyer could be an option.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
The Rams can break their stadium lease agreement after the 2014 season if the Edward Jones Dome does not rank among the top eight stadiums in the NFL. Miklasz states that is "virtually impossible" given that about two-thirds of NFL teams will have stadiums newer than the Edward Jones Dome by 2010.
ATL - QB Michael Vick wants to regain his superstar form
Source: Michael Lombardi, The National Football Post
Michael Lombardi from The National Football Post says according to people he's talked to who are close to the QB, Vick is in great spirits and looking forward to the future. I'm told he's in great "non-professional football shape" and is determined to prove he can regain his superstar status in the NFL.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Vick is also reportedly willing to work on making his game the best it can be, by focusing on the little things that he used to ignore like film study, game preparation, etc. As Lombardi states - two years alone with nothing but your thoughts can be a powerful motivational tool.
STL - Do Rams have genuine interest in Michael Vick?
Source: Michael Lombardi the National Football Post
Michael Lombardi from the National Football Post reports that several people in the NFL told him not to rule out St. Louis as a possible destination for Vick. The Rams might have some ownership issues to deal with before actually signing him, but they have genuine interest. They've been doing their due diligence on Vick, and if the Commissioner does reinstate him, look for them to actively pursue him.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Vick does have to be reinstated first before we can go crazy about speculating where he'll play. The Rams do make a lot of sense as his destination and could be a surprise team for some following the situation. Vick would be playing for a new staff behind Marc Bulger who isn't the same QB he used to be. The Rams want a more run-heavy offense featuring Steven Jackson, and Vick - the only 1,000 yard rushing QB in league history - could rack up a ton of yards on that fast track under the dome with him.
CLE - Rookies, agents upset about trip to work Mangini's camp
Source: Mary Kay Cabot, The Cleveland Plain Dealer
Mary Kay Cabot, of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, reports Cleveland Browns' rookies and their agents range from baffled to upset that head coach Eric Mangini took the rookies on a 10-hour bus trip to Hartford, Conn., to work his football camp, according to multiple league sources.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
One source said, "It's voluntary, but it's not really voluntary. These players are fighting for starting jobs and playing time. What are they supposed to do, say 'No, I'm not going?'" Mangini's camp is voluntary but all of the rookies felt compelled to attend, according to a source. The NFLPA will no doubt look into this.
CAR - Josh McCown currently No. 2 quarterback
Source: Scott Fowler, The Charlotte Observer
Scott Fowler, of the Charlotte Observer, reports Carolina Panthers head coach John Fox said QB Josh McCown is currently the team's No. 2 quarterback and QB Matt Moore was the No. 3 quarterback.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
"There are still some unknowns about both those guys," Panther coach John Fox said. "They are two gifted players – they've got all the tools. But the preseason will be real important to both of them. Right now Josh is No.2 and Matt is No.3, but our whole football team is an open competition." Delhomme is no spring chicken so the #2 QB in Carolina may get some playing time during the season.
DEN - WR Brandon Marshall gives his side of domestic violence story
Source: Mike Klis, The Denver Post
Mike Klis, of The Denver Post, reports Denver Broncos WR Brandon Marshall told ESPN's "Outside The Lines" his side of the domestic violence incident with his former girlfriend Rasheeda Watley.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Marshall said, "I would like to say again, I never put my hand on Rasheeda Watley." Marshall was portrayed as the abuser as several 911 recordings of a hysterical Watley were played. ESPN did report a request for money in exchange for not pressing charges. "It's evident that this is clearly about money," added Marshall.
MIN - WR Percy Harvin returning punts during minicamp
Source: Rick Alonzo, The Pioneer Press
Rick Alonzo, of the Pioneer Press, reports Minnesota Vikings WR Percy Harvin returned kickoffs and punts during the team's minicamp this weekend.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Depending on how he progresses, Harvin could play a significant role as a returner this season. As dynamic as Harvin is when the football is in his hands, he never returned punts or kicks in college because the Gators had a fantastic returner in Brandon James. The Vikings are going to use Harvin at QB, WR, RB, and most likely as a return man in 2009.
BAL - Dynasty Watch - TE Davon Drew
Source: Mike Preston, The Baltimore Sun
Mike Preston from the Baltimore Sun says to keep an eye on tight end Davon Drew, a fifth-round pick out of East Carolina. He's 6 feet 4 and weighs 260 pounds, and will get bigger. He has good hands and already has caught the eye of several Ravens coaches.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
A converted QB from East Carolina Drew has only been playing the position of TE for 2 years. Davon Drew showed off his athletic ability at the Texas vs The Nation game in El Paso. He's a big target that moves very well for such a large man. Drew best understands what a QB expects from his receivers, and will consistently square his shoulders - providing the biggest possible target - and he knows how to come back to the QB if there's trouble. The Ravens have Todd Heap and L.J. Smith ahead of him on the depth chart, but in a year or two we could see Drew develop into a productive target for QB Joe Flacco.
BAL - RB Le'Ron McClain looks about 20 pounds heavier
Source: Mike Preston, The Baltimore Sun
Mike Preston from the Baltimore Sun reports that FB Le'Ron McClain looks to be about 20 pounds over his playing weight from last season.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Preston speculates that this might be a problem if he doesn't get in better condition when training camp starts, but could the added weight be an indication of McClain being a more traditional FB in 2009? In the same article Preston states that Ray Rice looks to have a bigger/stronger lower body. Rice may be in line to be the feature back for that offense with McClain leading the way and vulturing away goal line TDs.
NYJ - Talks with RB Leon Washington moving along
Source: Alvin Keels
Agent Alvin Keels tweeted on his Twitter page that talks between the New York Jets and RB Leon Washington are moving along. He added that talks usually don't heat up until after July 4 and that he remains positive and continues to work.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
The Jets need to sign Washington to a contract, but may be in no hurry to do so. Thomas Jones also wants a new deal, but it's unlikely that he'll get what he wants. The Jets selected Shonn Greene to be the eventual replacement for Jones, but there is no one on the roster that can do what Leon Washington does. We anticipate that this deal will get done sooner rather than later.
DEF - GB - S Atari Bigby excited about upcoming season
Source: Greg A. Bedard, The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel
Greg A. Bedard, of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, reports Green Bay Packers S Atari Bigby is looking forward to playing in the team's new defensive scheme.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Bigby said, "I'm going to have fun in this defense and I'm so excited. I'm just trying to be calm right now just because of this season I'm coming off. That was a humbling season." Bigby spent most of two seasons on the Packers' practice squad, but finally got a chance to play in 2007. He responded by starting all 16 games (plus two in the playoffs), finishing third on the team with 121 tackles and second with 95 solo takedowns. The Packers are going to use him the same way the Steelers use Troy Polamalu - and that has Bigby fired up about his prospects for the 2009 season.
That'll do it for today, Folks. Hope you enjoy the new Apps and thanks for reading.
