OAK - Oakland WR Walker Found Unconcious In Las Vegas After Apparent Robbery
Source: KVVU Las Vegas, Fox5 News
KVVU Las Vegas, a Fox5 News channel, is reporting that Oakland Raiders WR Javon Walker was apparently a victim of a robbery and was found unconscious at about 7:19 a.m. Monday near the intersection of Koval Lane and Winnick Avenue, officers said.
Walker, who police say sustained an orbital fracture, was taken to Sunrise Medical Center's Trauma unit and is listed in fair condition, according to hospital officials. According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Walker was seen Saturday night at Tryst at the Wynn spraying the crowd with some of the 15 bottles of Dom Perignon Rose champagne he ordered. The RJ also said Walker was at Body English at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino until 6:30 a.m. Monday and that his first round of champagne cost him $15,000.[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Tough news for Walker and the Raiders. Let's hope he's ok there.
BUF - Case Against Bills RB Lynch To Resolve Soon?
Source: Dan Herbeck and Gene Warner, The Buffalo News
The Buffalo News is reporting that the hit-and-run case against Bills RB Marshawn Lynch may be resolved soon. Lynch's attorney, Michael P. Caffery, told The Buffalo News he's hoping for a quick resolution, but declined to comment further. "We'd like to obtain a resolution soon," Caffery said. "I can't say any more than that." District Attorney Frank J. Clark seems to agree. "My gut feeling is that it will be solved before anybody is called to the grand jury. But I've been wrong before," Clark said.

Finally. Let's see how this shakes out. The lady that was hit in the accident is now saying her injuries are worse than what's been reported and that she is in the care of several doctors. Hmmm. One angle to remember also - regardless of what the authorities decide here, Lynch could still have Roger Goodell to deal with. Stay tuned.
CIN - Bengals RB Dorsey Out Another Six Weeks
Source: Chick Ludwig, Dayton Daily News
Cincinnati Bengals RB DeDe Dorsey's severely strained hamstring will keep him out until training camp, and the prevailing thought is that he'll be limited when training camp begins July 28th.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Tough news for Dorsey. Is he this year's sacrificial Bengal RB injury? This is the kind of thing that could really hinder his getting into the offense and becoming a contributor if he's missing or limited in camp like this.
DEN - Broncos WR Marshall On Schedule For Return
Source: Frank Schwab, Colorado Springs Gazette
Denver Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall is ahead of schedule on his conditioning workouts. He even caught a few soft tosses with both hands this week, a sign of progress. Physically and mentally, Marshall said he is set to return from a severe right arm injury in which he lacerated an artery, vein, nerve, two tendons and three muscles. His three-month recovery time will be up June 22nd, when he can start catching live passes and working out to get ready for training camp, which starts July 25th.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
OK, sorry. This is the rest of the article that I told you about last night but I couldn't get past the part about him still not being able to wipe his butt (his words) with his right hand. On a serious note, he looks to be making a solid recovery and should be good to go for camp.
MIN - WR Rogers Still Eyeing NFL, Possibly The Vikings
Source: Geoff Mott, Saginaw News
Former Detroit Lions wide receiver Charles Rogers made a verbal agreement to play with the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League last month, but he never signed a contract and didn't attend the training camp that started on May 29. Former Saginaw High coach Don Durrett said the No. 2 pick of the 2003 draft -- released by the Lions in 2006 -- is still hunting for an NFL job. ''He's had a couple workouts with some teams and has a workout with the Minnesota Vikings,'' Durrett said. ''He's getting caught up (with playing in the NFL again).
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
I'm sure Rogers would like to stay in the NFL. I'm thinking Montreal might be a better fit though...
IND - Philadelphia DA Wants More Investigation
Source: Sal Paolantonio, ESPN.com
The Philadelphia District Attorney's office has asked the city's police department to gather more evidence in the case involving the shooting outside Marvin Harrison's car wash and garage in North Philadelphia on April 29, meaning that the seven-week-old case has essentially stalled, sources with knowledge of the case said Monday.
Detectives are still trying to piece together what happened, relying on ballistics tests and scant information from witnesses and two victims who have been less than fully cooperative, sources say. No charges have been filed.[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
This has gone about as I expected. Lift up the rug and get out the broom.
DEF - SEA - Seahawks DT Bernard Agrees To Court Stipulations
Source: Danny O'Neil, The Seattle Times
Seattle Seahawks DT Rocky Bernard agreed to stipulations of a continuance set by the court this morning in order to avoid a conviction. Bernard cannot have any criminal law violations for two years and he must comply with the terms of a no-contact order regarding the victim in this case. He must also complete a domestic-violence treatment program, cannot possess any weapons, must undergo a drug-and-alcohol evaluation, comply with any treatment recommendations, and must pay $400 in court costs. "This represents him taking responsibility for what happened and taking steps to make sure it never happens again," said Jon Scott Fox, Bernard's attorney. "He really wants to put this behind him at this time."
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Let's be optimistic and hope Bernard can keep those stipulations and stay out of trouble.
DEF - DET - Lions Moving Rookie S Campbell To Linebacker
Source: Tom Kowalski, Mlive.com
There are a couple of reasons why the Detroit Lions switched Caleb Campbell, a seventh-round pick out of Army, from safety to outside linebacker. The first is that Campbell has the size (6-2 and 230 pounds) to be an effective linebacker and the second is that the Lions currently have a logjam at safety and Campbell has a better shot of making the 53-man roster at linebacker. Campbell is probably a better fit at linebacker at this level because he has experience moving up to support the run.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
We hope this works out for Campbell. The move probably suits his skill set better and as the article says, it fits the team needs better as they're pretty loaded at safety.
DEF - HOU - Texans Sign Free Agent LB Colvin
Source: ESPN
Free-agent linebacker Rosevelt Colvin has agreed to terms with the Houston Texans. Colvin, who played for the New England Patriots for five seasons in which he won two Super Bowls, visited the Texans earlier this month and passed a physical. He was hampered last season with a foot injury, playing 11 games with four sacks, before his release.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
The Patriots have little problem moving out their older players that aren't producing enough and Colvin fell into that category. He's still a guy that can play though and will bring valuable experience to this Texans defense.
DEF - DAL - S Williams Speaks About Criticism
Source: Ft. Worth Star-Telegram
Embattled safety Roy Williams spoke about the criticism he's received.
In the midst of the most tumultuous off-season of his career -- in which he has admittedly been "shocked" and "blindsided" by criticism from inside and outside the locker room and talk of him being cut or traded -- a smiling Williams welcomed the love from several hundred fans lining the Dillard's store at Northeast Mall. "Sometimes it is real comforting to know you have supporters still out there, that they are still behind you," Williams said. "It's been hurtful."[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
He also said that Terence Newman told Williams that he "could have used a better choice of words" when he described Williams as looking like a "deer in the headlights" last season. Gee Terence, ya think?
That'll do it for today, Folks. Have a great rest of your Tuesday and we'll see you tomorrow with the update.
