Teams which register early will be able to change their draft date at any time until July 15 2010 providing their original draft date has not been filled. Drafts dates will become official and will not be changed once 12 teams have been registered and drafts slots have been drawn. Please email [email protected] for more information or to change your draft date.

Early Registration Incentives: Each owner which enters a single team into the FPC prior to June 1, 2010 will receive a complimentary Footballguys.com subscription for the 2010 season (a $27.95 value). If the owner is already subscribed for the 2010 season, the complimentary subscription will be awarded for the following year.
Each owner which purchases the 3-pack prior to June 1, 2010 will receive a complimentary 3-year Footballguys.com subscription for the 2010, 2011 and 2012 seasons (a $75 value). If the owner is already subscribed for the 2010-2012 seasons, the complimentary subscription will be awarded for the following years.

Draft Slots: As soon as 12 teams are reserved for any individual FPC draft date, draft slots for that league will be randomly selected and announced to the 12 participants.

Prize Security: Footballguys Players Championship and JDAD, LLC understand the importance of customer trust with regards to prizes and payouts. We believe it was vital that customers felt comfortable and secure entering a high stakes fantasy football contest. For this reason, the entire FPC prize pool will be placed into a secured attorney escrow account where it will remain for the duration of the NFL season. Funds will be deposited into the attorney escrow account prior to the draft on Friday, September 10, 2010. At no point during the season will any member of JDAD, LLC access these funds. Upon the completion of the season, and once winners have been determined, checks will be drawn directly from these funds and sent to all prize winners by January 24, 2011. The process shall be overseen by the officers of JDAD, LLC and reviewed by our certified public accountant. For further information on the attorney escrow account, please contact us at [email protected].

Prize Structure: The $50,000 Grand Prize as well as the entire FPC prize structure is fully guaranteed. As entries increase beyond 600 teams, prizes will increase in a progressive fashion and will continue to increase as do entries, without limitation.

Format

  • FPC is comprised of 12 team leagues with 20 roster spots.
  • The draft format is classic serpentine: 1-12, 12-1, 1-12, etc.
  • Regular season is Weeks 1-11.
  • The League Playoffs are Weeks 12 & 13.
  • The Championship Round and Consolation Round are Weeks 14-16.

League Playoffs: At the end of the regular season, the two top seeds from each league each earn an automatic berth into the Championship Round, regardless of how they perform in the League Playoffs. The four top seeds (including the two above) from each league will compete in the 2-week, head-to-head League Playoff in Weeks 12 & 13. The winners of the Week 12 match-ups will play each other in Week 13 for the League Championship. The League Champion and runner up will win cash awards as described in the prize structure.

Championship Round: In addition to the cash awards, each League Champion will win a berth in the Championship Round, if they have not already secured an automatic berth after the regular season. In other words, if Seed 3 or Seed 4 wins the League Championship, that team will also move on to the Championship Round along with Seeds 1 & 2. A minimum of two and a maximum of three teams per league will qualify for the Championship Round. Any League Playoff team which did not qualify into the Championship Round will enter the Consolation Round. In addition, any team which did not qualify for the League Playoffs but finished in the top 20% of the FPC Overall Leaderboard at the conclusion of Week 11 will qualify for the Consolation Round (i.e. based on 480 teams, the top 96 teams are considered as the top 20%). All teams which did not qualify for the League Playoffs will enter the Toilet Bowl in Weeks 12-16.

Free Agents: The Free Agent process is via blind bidding. Each team will be given 1000 blind bidding "dollars". The free agent time period is extended beyond the 11-week regular season into weeks 12 and 13 for all playoff teams. All teams NOT qualifying into the League Playoffs will have their rosters locked at the end of Week 11 and will no longer have the ability to make free agent moves. There are no free agent moves for any teams in Weeks 14-16.

Roster/Scoring: The FPC starting lineup allows for two (2) flex positions, also known as the Dual-Flex. The scoring system gives 1 point per reception for RBs & WRs but also gives 1.5 points per reception for TEs, putting extra weight to the TE position. Action scoring is implemented for all TDs: any TD scored by a player is scored as 6 points to that individual player, in addition to any D/ST scoring that may apply. Stat errors will be automatically corrected using Elias Sports Bureau. The deadline for lineup submission for each player via web site or email is the scheduled start time of the game in which the player is participating.
