Keith Overton bio
Occupation: System Architecture Manager at a large Southern brokerage firm.

Birthplace: Memphis, Tennessee
Current location: Memphis, Tennessee
Family: Married with two boys, 20 and 16.
Favorite NFL team: Pittsburgh Steelers
Favorite thing about fantasy football: The social aspect of the game. Sure, FF is all about competition and the love of pro football, but at the end of the day, it's really about hanging out with your buddies (either in person or online) and talking trade, talking smack, talking football, and watching the games. It's a means to an end.
If I was Paul Tagliabue for a day...: I would take the NFL public and issue common shares on the open market via an IPO. Then I'd take the revenue generated by the IPO and initiate a series of leveraged buy-outs of each of the 32 franchise owners. Once the buy-outs are complete and the teams become league-owned assets, I would re-work the league's franchise agreement to give the league tighter control over the teams and firmly establish revenue sharing. Finally, after tigtening up the franchise agreement and ensuring competitive balance in the future, I would re-sell the 32 franchises to local interests to restore local ties and reduce the role of the league office in the day-to-day business of running the franchises, thereby increasing league competitiveness. This might actually take a couple of days.
Something odd/different about you: I completed grad school before getting my first "real" job. My board handle, Memphis Foundry, comes from sage advice I received from my father following a tour of the International Harvester plant where he worked for 35 years: "Son, you need to stay in school and get a good education, or you might end up working in the foundry." I stayed in school until I was 25 years old.
Brush with greatness: Met future HOF RB Jerome Bettis at the Las Vegas airport in spring 2004.

Biggest vice: Caffeine -- I drink way too much coffee and Splenda Diet Coke.
Pet peeve: Clockwatchers and schedule slaves.
