Upgrades
Brees and the Chargers just keep rolling. He shredded the Bills defense for 339 yards and four first half TDs.
He is capable of having a big game against defenses that struggle to stop the pass. He had 343 yards and two TDs against New England on Sunday.
He’s a couple weeks away, but he will certainly be handed the starting job when healthy.
After going so long without scoring 30 points, the Jaguars offense is now unstoppable. Well, let’s not get carried away. Still, Leftwich is playing well right now. He threw for 258 yards and three TDs against the Titans.
That first half was absolute precision. Manning ended up torching the Bengals for 365 yards and three TDs.
He played well in relief of an injured Marc Bulger. Depending on the severity of the injury he could be a good replacement for a few weeks.
He’s not real exciting, but with McNabb out, McMahon is a starting QB. Those are hard to come by in some leagues.
The Bengals offense is on fire. Palmer came up short in matching Peyton Manning, but he still tossed for 335 yards and a pair of TDs.
Vick is hot right now. Over the last three weeks, he has thrown for 743 yards with five TDs and no INTs to go with 79 rushing yards and a rushing TD.
Warner is throwing up huge yardage numbers. In the past three weeks, he has totaled 978 passing yards and five TDs.
He scored from in close again. He is the goal line back when they need a score.
With Tatum Bell a bit gimpy, Anderson turned in a huge day against the pitiful Jets. He totaled 129 yards from scrimmage and pushed in three short TDs.
Arrington is coming around. He had another TD Sunday and 68 total yards.
Barber won’t put up gaudy yardage totals with Julius Jones healthy again, but he does seem adept near the goal line. At the very least, you know he’ll be getting some looks.
Brown is putting up top 10 fantasy RB numbers over the last three weeks. On Sunday, against a very good Jaguars defense, he had 119 total yards and scored two TDs.
He had 110 combined yards and a score in a game that they were blown out. He remains the lifeblood of this team going forward.
The Browns’ bright spot keeps getting brighter. Droughns shredded the Dolphins for 166 rushing yards and a 75-yard TD.
The Texans are bad against the run, but Johnson’s 211 rushing yards are still eye-popping (and a new team record). He also added a couple of TDs. Over the last three weeks, Johnson is hanging with Shaun Alexander and LaDainian Tomlinson. That’s amazing production.
You have to worry a bit about him staying out of the training room, but Parker will be the team’s starting RB every week he is healthy.
He did not have an outstanding day (19 carries for 59 yards) against a tough Pittsburgh defense, but he got 6 more carries than supposed starter Jamal Lewis. Jamal Lewis was ineffective again (13 carries for 28 yards) and will likely see this kind of split going forward. Get Chester Taylor now.
We were about ready to put the Cadillac up on blocks, but he had a solid day against the Falcons (129 total yards and a TD).
After missing time with his injured knee, Boldin exploded in his first game back and caught eight balls for 105 yards and a TD. Hopefully he’ll stay healthy.
He only caught three passes but finished with 88 yards and a score. He is the new deep threat on the Eagles.
He had 90 yards on six catches. The QB play is inconsistent, but Braylon is playing at a very high level right now. He is a star on the rise.
Gage is finally starting to come around. He posted seven catches for 81 yards against the Panthers.
Let’s see – 11 catches for 129 yards and a TD. He seems to be healthy again.
Johnson guaranteed that the Colts would not stop him on Sunday, and then he went out and led the league in receiving with 189 yards and a TD. Check.
He isn’t getting huge yardage totals, but Jones has scored in four of his last five games.
Welcome back. The 49ers finally threw past the line of scrimmage, and Lloyd responded with seven catches for 119 yards and a TD.
Another game, another 14 catches and 169 yards. Ho hum. What is amazing is that Smith had all that production when the team scored only three points all game.
He is someone that is hard to get excited about (due to his inconsistent play), but Stallworth did manage two TDs yesterday. The Saints look like they will be playing from behind in a lot of games, so he should be productive going forward.
Michael Vick is throwing for over 200 yards a game consistently now and Roddy White is a big reason for that. He had 108 yards on 4 catches on Sunday, but failed to score.
Clark had a huge game against the Bengals as he caught six passes for 125 yards and a score.
Vick always looks for Crumpler when he needs to complete a pass. And the new Vick is throwing a lot more these days. Crumpler's numbers can only get better going forward.
Over the last three weeks, Gonzalez leads all TEs with 22 catches.
The Patriots are the walking wounded which has meant more playing time for Watson. He did not find the endzone this week, but still managed 66 yards on 4 catches.
Cundiff was re-signed by Dallas late last week and kicked a franchise-record 56-yard FG just before the first half ended.
The 49ers offense keeps bogging down (big surprise), and Nedney keeps converting FGs. He has kicked 14 three-pointers in the last four weeks.
They spent all day harassing Jake Delhomme and ended up forcing two INTs and tallied eight sacks. That’s an excellent showing against a very good Panthers offense.
Over the last two games, they have allowed just 17 points while recording five interceptions, three fumble recoveries and eight sacks.
Downgrades
He has just 306 yards and a TD over his last two games. The Cowboys are committing to running the ball and playing solid defense. This does not bode well for Bledsoe going forward.
Brunell and the Redskins are really struggling after a hot start. Over the last three weeks, he has thrown for only 605 yards and two TDs.
He left the game with an injured shoulder again. This is becoming a disturbing trend every year with Bulger.
He will undergo season-ending hernia surgery.
:shakeshead:
He left the game with an injury and will likely sit this week since Denver plays on Thursday.
Davis is looking very old. He is still a goal line stud, but when Carolina doesn’t get near the endzone Davis has little value.
It looks like the team will be able to let Dillon heal up.
He had 12 yards on six carries this past week. Ouch. Even without Martz, this team loves to throw the ball every down.
He was stuffed three times from the one, while Marion Barber III scored twice from inside the ten. Jones is a solid back, but he’s in a committee.
Chester Taylor had more carries, more yards and more yards per carry. That's all you need to know. We expect that trend to continue going forward.
Martin will have a couple more good games, but the Jets are really bad. He can’t be relied upon.
In the two games that JP Losman has started, Willis has just 105 yards on 30 carries (and no TDs). Expect this trend to continue as defenses load up the line to stop the running game making JP throw for first downs.
His shoulder is really giving him problems.
If Willie Parker is healthy, Staley will be inactive.
He made a surprise Sunday start after being doubtful all week, but he didn’t even get close to finishing the game. He’s just not reliable at all.
He had value with Domanick Davis out, but since Davis has returned, Wells won’t score.
Zero catches will always get you on the downgrade list.
When your team is throwing just 153 yards a game over the last two games, there simply aren't enough balls to produce viable fantasy stats.
The Cowboys are running a lot these days, and it is killing Johnson's value.
Between his interview and his lackluster route running as of late, Moss is not a great option right now. He clearly wants the ball more and is not happy with Norv Turner's play calling.
Moss has only 211 yards and zero TDs in his last three games. Those aren’t terrible numbers, but he has fallen out of the elite fantasy WRs.
He left the game with an injury and could miss some time. When on the field, he remains the best in the game.
He has just five catches for 42 yards (and no scores) in his last two games.
He has just four FGs (and two misses) in his last three games. The Eagles are struggling mightily on offense so his chances going forward look slim.
Over the last three games, he has kicked just three FGs and 2 EPs. Neil Rackers has that kind of production on a weekly basis.
He has just four FG attempts in his last three games. He made them all, but is simply not getting enough chances to produce. As the weather gets colder, his chances may actually decrease.
The Colts started the season red hot on defense, but they have been struggling a bit lately. This is still a good fantasy unit, but they are no longer an elite group.
Miami let Reuben Droughns run all over the field. They allowed the pitiful Browns to accumulate 376 yards of offense. The Dolphins offense is struggling to stay on the field. And Zach Thomas suffered a separated shoulder Sunday.
As if things weren’t going bad enough for the Eagles defense, they lost Lito Shepherd to a broken ankle Sunday.
They have yielded a league worst 1,315 yards in their last 3 games.
