McMahon was inactive on Sunday, at least partly due to his injured knee and an unspecified illness (questionable on Friday's injury report).
McNair was unable to play on Sunday due to his bad back (questionable on Friday's injury report). Coach Jeff Fisher sounded optimistic about McNair for this week: "I think Steve will be okay this week. I think the weekend off really helped him. I know he felt good before we left, but we chose to leave him behind and keep him off the airplane so he could rest, so I would expect him to play this coming week."
Smith strained his knee during the crushing loss to Washington on Sunday. He'll be evaluated further on Monday.
With McNair sidelined due to a sore back, Volek stepped into the top job on Sunday. Unfortunately, he suffered a concussion during the game, leaving Matt Mauck under center for the Titans. Volek will be evaluated further as the week goes along but sounds like he's ok. "You can't control a guy coming off the end who's not blocked at all. He got a good licking on me, and physically I'm fine. I'll probably be fine tomorrow. This is my first concussion."
He described the play he was injured on: "I really can't recall it. I remember dropping back in a three-step drop, and I heard Jarrett Payton say 'watch out' or something. It was a three-step drop and I didn't think a guy could get there that quick and obviously he did and the next thing I know I'm sitting on the bench. The doctors are taking care of me right now." Coach Fisher said he expected McNair to play this week.
Running Back
Barlow injured his quadriceps on Sunday, and did not return to action. He is considered probable for the next game, though. Backup Frank Gore played well in Barlow's absence. Talking about his 9/89/1 performance, Gore said "It was my first touchdown in the NFL. Hopefully, it will show my coaches that they can believe in me when I'm in the game that I'm going to keep fighting no matter if we are up or down."

The team confirmed on Monday that Green is out for the season due to a torn right quadraceps tendon, and that Green will undergo surgery this week to reattach the tendon. The team hopes to have him back in the lineup for training camp next summer.
