Quarterback
Batch broke his throwing hand during the game vs. Cleveland and was sidelined for the second half. He'll likely miss a couple of weeks according to coach Bill Cowher. Tommy Maddox finished the game for Pittsburgh - stay tuned. The team is hoping to have Ben Roethlisberger ready for this week's game but his status is still uncertain. We'll stay on that one for you this week.
Boller suffered a minor hand injury during a brutal afternoon vs. the Jaguars (4 sacks) - his hand was mashed while sandwiched between DE Bobby McCray and DB Terry Cousin. The injury is not considered serious at this time.
Fiedler missed the game on Sunday due to his ongoing shoulder woes (he was listed as out on Friday). He is said to be a couple of weeks away from returning to the lineup due to his dislocated shoulder.
Garcia did not play on Sunday due to his ongoing struggle with a leg injury. Joey Harrington had a solid afternoon in Garcia's absence.
Grossman missed another game on Sunday, as expected (ankle, out on Friday). The team expects to keep Kyle Orton in the lineup even when Grossman is able to get back on the field.
Holcomb was knocked out of the game on Sunday due to a concussion - the severity of the injury is being evaluated further. His backup, J.P. Losman, played well in relief of Holcomb, tossing 2 TDs and leading the Bills to a victory.
Roethlisberger missed another game on Sunday due to his injured/scoped knee. Backup Charlie Batch broke his throwing hand on Sunday, forcing Tommy Maddox back into action. The team hopes that Roethlisberger can resume his starting role for the next game.
Smith was inactive again on Sunday due to his knee injury (he was listed as questionable on Friday).
Testaverde was active but did not play on Sunday after being listed as probable due to his sore Achilles on Friday.
Running Back
Askew was inactive on Sunday after being listed as probable on Friday despite his injured hamstring.
Benson suffered an ugly-looking knee injury during the game on Sunday. He was able to stand and walk after being carted off the field, though, which was a good sign. Said Benson "It (the replay of his injury) made me cringe as much as everybody else. It didn’t look too good, but I’ve been blessed with some flexibility, and I’m just thankful that I’m able to stand here right now."
The Bears received relatively good news when the MRI results indicated that the injury is a MCL sprain, and may keep Benson sidelined for 3-6 weeks. No other ligament damage was detected.
Blaylock missed the game on Sunday due to his injured ankle (he was listed as out on Friday's injury report).
Davis missed the game on Sunday due to his injured knee (he was listed as questionable on Friday).
Dillon started the game as expected but lasted only one play on Sunday before exiting the game due to a calf injury. FB Heath Evans was pressed into service to relieve the injured Dillon, and did a decent job. The severity of the calf injury isn't currently known, but it could cost Dillon some significant time - stay tuned for the injury report on Wednesday but as usual with New England, they'll be as vague as possible. Said Dillon after the game "I just have to get healthy. I'm just now getting halfway over the ankle, then for something else to come up and set me back is tough. It's been a tough week. I'm not able to do what I should be doing and I'm more frustrated with that than anything. It's going to take me to get 100 percent healthy, because right now I'm not."
On a peronal note for Dillon, his father passed away last week and Dillon missed some practices to tend to family matters and the funeral.
Faulk remains sidelined due to his foot injury (he was listed as out on Friday).
Fisher missed the game on Sunday as expected (broken rib, out on Friday's injury report).
Green missed the game on Sunday due to his ankle injury, as expected (he was listed as out on Friday).
Griffith suffered a stinger during the game on Sunday, but returned to action on the next offensive series - the injury is not considered serious at this time.
Hicks was inactive on Sunday due to his knee injury (he was listed as questionable on Friday).
Jones sat out the game on Sunday to allow his ribs time to heal. Backup RB Cedric Benson suffered a knee injury that will keep him out three to six weeks. Adrian Peterson filled in but we expect to see Jones back in the lineup for the next game.

McGahee briefly left the game on Sunday due to a hand injury, but he returned to the lineup. The injury is not considered serious at this time.

No word yet on possible disciplinary actions by the team for either player.
T Greg Jerman (ankle) was sidelined on Sunday, as expected (listed as out on Friday's injury report).
G Cosey Coleman was sidelined on Sunday due to his injured knee (he was listed as doubtful on Friday).
G Elton Brown (knee) missed the game on Sunday - he was listed as doubtful on Friday's injury report.
T Willie Roaf missed the game on Sunday due to his injured hamstring (listed as doubtful on Friday's injury report). T Kevin Sampson was sidelined due to his sore shoulder (he was listed as questionable on Friday).
T William Joseph had his left arm in a sling after the game on Sunday due to an unspecified elbow injury suffered during the Vikings' final drive. He'll be evaluated further today.
RT Jason Fabini has been lost for the season due to a torn left pectoral muscle. He's scheduled for surgery next week to repair the damage and will be placed on IR.
T Tom Ashworth (knee injury) missed the game on Sunday (he was listed as questionable on Friday). T Matt Light also sat out, as expected (ankle, out on Friday's report). C Dan Koppen suffered an arm injury during the 3rd quarter on Sunday and did not return to action - the exact nature and severity of the injury aren't currently known.
G Langston Walker missed the game on Sunday, as expected (abdomen, out on Friday's injury report).
C Adam Treu left the game on Sunday due to soreness in his left knee. "I felt I wasn't helping our ball team." he said after the contest. His injury will be evaluated further during the week.
G Tom Nutten missed the game on Sunday due to a neck injury (he was listed as questionable on Friday).
T Wayne Hunter sat out another game on Sunday due to his injured hamstring (he was listed as questionable on Friday). Hunter has missed almost the entire season due to various injuries.
C Drew Hodgdon (foot, out on Friday - his foot is broken and he's been lost for the season), G Zach Wiegert (ankle, doubtful on Friday) and C Todd Washington (neck, questionable on Friday) were all sidelined for the game vs. Indianapolis on Sunday. The Texans' line is battered and limping heading into the 2nd-half (as they were for much of the 1st half of the season). To compound the problems, RT Todd Wade may be lost for the season after suffering what is feared to be a torn medial collateral ligament in his right knee. The Texans' line has been in constant flux all season long.
G Toniu Fonoti continues to miss games due to his ongoing rehabilitation of a hand injury/surgery (doubtful on Friday's injury report). C Melvin Fowler aggravated a strained oblique muscle during pregame warmups and was unable to continue play during the second half. He'll be evaluated further later in the week.
Defensive Line
Adams was inactive on Sunday due to a knee injury of unknown severity - he was added to the injury list on Friday as "questionable" due to the injury.
Allen was inactive for the game on Sunday, despite being listed as probable on Friday's injury report (quadricep injury).
Bernard suffered a knee contusion during the game on Sunday, but returned to action. The injury is considered minor at this time.
