*** Saturday Update *** QB Carson Palmer (CIN) participated in 11 on 11 drills Friday, and Bengal coach Marvin Lewis said Palmer did practice earlier this week despite official reports that he did not. Lewis declined to say whether Palmer or backup QB Jon Kitna would start Sunday vs. the Chiefs.

*** Saturday Update *** QB Drew Henson (DAL) may play in NFL Europe this offseason to improve his skills against live competition according to owner Jerry Jones. "He needs to play ball," Jones said. "One of his main attributes, I think it is, I don't know for sure, is that he knows how to play within himself and not make bad plays. The only way you can see that attribute more is in live competition."

*** Saturday Update *** QB Joey Harrington (DET) is expected to be forced to renegotiate his contract after the 2005 season ends to where he is paid more along the lines of an experience backup QB.

*** Saturday Update *** QB Aaron Rodgers (GB) will only play Sunday if the Packers get way ahead or fall far behind because QB Brett Favre still gives them the best chance to win according to HC Mike Sherman.

*** Saturday Update *** QB Brad Johnson (MIN) is getting old (he’s 38) but still wants to play for a few more seasons. "I keep myself in shape, and I'd like to play three or four more years," Johnson said. "I have some bruises and things but nothing major."

*** Saturday Update *** QB Matt Mauck (TEN) will reportedly start this weekend in place of the injured Steve McNair.

*** Saturday Update *** QB Mark Brunell (WAS) will start this weekend, but he is not at full strength. "I'm getting close, but I'm not 100 percent," Brunell said. "I would sure like another day or two, but each day it has gotten better so I'm pleased. I expect to be able to do everything on Sunday."

Running Back

*** Saturday Update *** RB Jerome Bettis (PIT) will start this weekend in what will likely be his final home game at Heinz Field.

*** Saturday Update *** RB Willie Parker (PIT) has reportedly asked Bill Cowher to make Jerome Bettis the starting RB as it will possibly be Bettis' last game in Pittsburgh. It's expected that Bettis will get the first carry but the team will switch back to it's normal game plan after that.

*** Saturday Update *** RB Duce Staley (PIT) is unlikely to see the field again this season (barring an injury to another back). Staley was ineffective as a 3rd down RB vs. the Colts and Bengals, and has lost the job to RB Verron Haynes, who has been making plays during the Steeler three-game winning streak.

*** Saturday Update *** RB Travis Henry (TEN) is expected to play despite continued discomfort in his right ankle. "My ankle, that has been an ongoing process through the whole year, but other than that I feel great,'' Henry said. "I will probably get it scoped at the end of the season." Henry may start this weekend since starting RB Chris Brown is a game-time decision.

Wide Receiver

*** Saturday Update *** WR Braylon Edwards (CLE) will undergo surgery on his torn ACL on Tuesday. This is almost a month after the injury occurred because doctors had to wait until the swelling subsided. Using a standard nine-month recovery will put Edwards return date in October of 2006.

*** Saturday Update *** WR Terry Glenn (DAL) was cited for public intoxication on Friday night after urinating on a trash dumpster outside a Jack In the Box in Dallas. Nice.

*** Saturday Update *** WR Darrell Jackson (SEA) did not make the trip to Green Bay and will be out for Sunday's game according to the Seattle Times.

Defensive Line

*** Saturday Update *** DL Grady Jackson (GB) has dropped Drew Rosenhaus as his agent. "It's more, I'm looking toward the future and all what's been going on, and I don't need that right now going into contract negotiations," Jackson explained, "and I just wanted to go in on a positive note."

Linebacker

Defensive Back

*** Saturday Update *** DB Deion Sanders (BAL) will retire again after the 2005 season.

General Team News

*** Saturday Update *** TM Minnesota Vikings (MIN) HC Mike Tice will reportedly not return in 2006. According to several sources, owner Zygi Wilf will meet with Tice on Monday and relieve him of his coaching responsibilities.

*** Saturday Update *** TM Philadelphia Eagles (PHI) The Eagles were undefeated against their division in 2004, but they need to win against the Redskins to avoid going winless against them this season. What a turn around.

All the news

Quarterback

*** Wednesday Update *** QB Kelly Holcomb (BUF) is expected to start again this weekend as J.P. Losman is still not 100% according to HC Mike Mularkey.

*** Friday Update *** QB J.P. Losman (BUF) practiced on Friday and will be the backup QB this weekend.

*** Friday Update *** QB Rex Grossman (CHI) is expected to play sparingly this weekend.

*** Saturday Update *** QB Kyle Orton (CHI) will start Sunday's game in place of Rex Grossman.

*** Friday Update *** QB Kyle Orton (CHI) will receive considerable playing time this weekend as the Bears will rest Rex Grossman.

*** Saturday Update *** QB Carson Palmer (CIN) participated in 11 on 11 drills Friday, and Bengal coach Marvin Lewis said Palmer did practice earlier this week despite official reports that he did not. Lewis declined to say whether Palmer or backup QB Jon Kitna would start Sunday vs. the Chiefs.

*** Friday Update *** QB Carson Palmer (CIN) practiced on Friday and appears to be healthy enough to play this weekend but it'll be up to coach Marvin Lewis to decide if he plays or if they rest Palmer in favor of Jon Kitna.

*** Thursday Update *** QB Carson Palmer (CIN) has signed an extension with the team and now has a contract through the 2014 season. It's not known how much he'll play but it's looking like he might be very limited if he plays at all.

*** Wednesday Update *** QB Carson Palmer (CIN) is listed as probable and is expected to play Sunday despite the strained groin he sustained while scrambling in the final minute of the Bengals loss Saturday. Palmer “took all the snaps” in the Wednesday morning session according to OT Willie Anderson but did not participate in the afternoon drills. The QB said he was still bothered by the groin injury, but not enough to keep him out of the game against Kansas City.

QB Carson Palmer (CIN) tweaked his groin Sunday and came up limping after the play. The team doesn't think it's serious but it's something to watch. The Bengals do have something to play for as they battle for playoff positioning this week but it remains to be seen how much Palmer will play.

QB Charlie Frye (CLE) is beat up from last week's game but he's expected to start in the Browns' final game of the season.

*** Wednesday Update *** QB Brett Favre (GB) says he still hasn't decided whether he'll return for the 2006 season, and it has occurred to him that the Packers might not want him back. "It is a business," Favre said Wednesday. "And up to this point, we're 3-12. And from a business standpoint, wouldn't you think they're sitting there going, 'OK, if we're running a risk of this happening next year, we might as well save the money and put that money elsewhere for the future.'?" Packers’ GM Ted Thompson said the team definitely wants Favre back. "Sure we do," Thompson said. "And we're assuming he will be back."

*** Saturday Update *** QB Aaron Rodgers (GB) will only play Sunday if the Packers get way ahead or fall far behind because QB Brett Favre still gives them the best chance to win according to HC Mike Sherman.

*** Wednesday Update *** QB Peyton Manning (IND) will start this weekend, but he will be replaced at some point by Jim Sorgi.

QB Peyton Manning (IND) should see very limited action in week 17 if he even plays at all.

*** Friday Update *** QB Byron Leftwich (JAX) practiced on Friday and is expected to see action this weekend. He might even start but that will likely be a game-time decision.

*** Thursday Update *** QB Byron Leftwich (JAX) practiced again on Thursday. He is improving, but the team still lists him as questionable for this weekend. "I was a little rusty on Wednesday, but came back strong today," Leftwich said Thursday. "My timing and accuracy is headed in the right direction." Jimmy Smith said Leftwich looked good on Thursday. "He looks rested. He was bouncing around out there. As bad as it was for him to have the injury, it may turn out to be a good thing as he's rested and looking sharp," Smith said.

*** Wednesday Update *** QB Byron Leftwich (JAX) practiced Wednesday for the first time in more than a month, leaving HC Jack Del Rio with a difficult decision. Does he rest Leftwich and avoid risking further injury in a meaningless game against the Tennessee Titans or does he play Leftwich in hopes of getting him ready for the first round of the playoffs? "When he's healthy enough to play, he's going to play," Del Rio said Wednesday. "So what I want to see is whether or not he's healthy enough to play."

QB Byron Leftwich (JAX) has been medically cleared to return to practice. He might be able to play this weekend.

*** Saturday Update *** QB Brad Johnson (MIN) is getting old (he’s 38) but still wants to play for a few more seasons. "I keep myself in shape, and I'd like to play three or four more years," Johnson said. "I have some bruises and things but nothing major."

*** Friday Update *** QB Tom Brady (NE) practiced all week and will start this weekend. He says he wants to play the entire game (of course he’ll say that – he’s a competitor). However, the Patriots are playing for the #3 seed, so Brady could stay in for the whole contest.

QB Brooks Bollinger (NYJ) will start for the team this weekend.

*** Thursday Update *** QB Kerry Collins (OAK) left the Giants after the 2003 season and faces them for the first time this weekend. He appears to be focused on his opponent. “To say that it would be like any other game would be a lie,” Collins said. “Anytime you play against your old team you want to play your best and I’ll try to take that approach this week. “With my history there and the friends I still have on the team, it will be a fun game for me, and hopefully we’ll finish the season with a win this weekend.”

*** Friday Update *** QB Mike McMahon (PHI) practiced on Friday and is expected to play this weekend.

*** Thursday Update *** QB Mike McMahon (PHI) practiced on Thursday and is expected to start this weekend.

QB Mike McMahon (PHI) has thrown the same number of touchdown passes to his teammates as he has to his opponents. Still, he is supposed to start the season finale against the Redskins on Sunday.

*** Friday Update *** QB Ben Roethlisberger (PIT) practiced on Friday and is expected to start this weekend.

*** Thursday Update *** QB Seneca Wallace (SEA) took a majority of the reps in Wednesday’s practice. He is expected to play a significant portion of this weekend’s game.

*** Friday Update *** QB Jamie Martin (STL) practiced on Friday and is expected to start this weekend.

*** Wednesday Update *** QB Jamie Martin (STL) partially participated in Wednesday’s practice due to illness, but he is expected to start this weekend.

QB Jamie Martin (STL) will start for the team in week 17.

*** Saturday Update *** QB Matt Mauck (TEN) will reportedly start this weekend in place of the injured Steve McNair.

*** Friday Update *** QB Matt Mauck (TEN) will start for the team this weekend if Steve McNair is unable to play. "The tempo's been great. He's shaved about eight minutes off both practices the last two days. He's in and out of the huddle. He knows what to do,'' Fisher said. "So we've just got to wait on Steve and see what happens.''

*** Thursday Update *** QB Matt Mauck (TEN) may get the nod this weekend if Steve McNair can’t go. "What we did , we got Matt Mauck the reps in the event that McNair can't play,” said HC Jeff Fisher. “If we have an opportunity in the ballgame to get Matt some playing time then I want to make sure he gets some practice reps.” The thinking is that the Titans know what Billy Volek is capable of doing, but they want to see if Mauck is worth keeping on the roster.

*** Friday Update *** QB Steve McNair (TEN) did not practice again on Friday and is at best a game-time decision for this weekend. McNair has surprised in the past, but it really doesn’t look like he’ll play.

*** Thursday Update *** QB Steve McNair (TEN) as expected did not practice on Thursday. He may work on Friday but looks like a game-time decision for this weekend. In unrelated news, McNair says he would like to play a few more years and is confident that he and the team can work out a contract extension that is more salary cap friendly.

*** Wednesday Update *** QB Steve McNair (TEN) is still experiencing soreness in his right pectoral and will not throw until at least Friday. He is questionable for this weekend.

QB Steve McNair (TEN) hopes to play this weekend, but he will likely practice very little (if at all) this week. He will probably be a game-time decision.

*** Friday Update *** QB Mark Brunell (WAS) practiced on Friday and is expected to start this weekend.

*** Thursday Update *** QB Mark Brunell (WAS) practiced on Thursday and is expected to play this weekend. Brunell has said the range of motion in the knee has improved with each day.

QB Mark Brunell (WAS) sprained his MCL in the week 16 game but the team thinks he has a shot at playing this week. He'll rest it and then see how he is later this week. Early reports had the Redskins worried it might be more serious.

Running Back

*** Thursday Update *** RB Warrick Dunn (ATL) isn't 100% with the hamstring but he's expected to start. How long he can go is another question.

RB Warrick Dunn (ATL) is struggling with a sore hamstring he suffered in last week's game. Keep an eye on him to see if he practices. The team is out of the playoff picture so he likely won't go unless he's fully ready.

*** Friday Update *** RB B.J. Sams (BAL) did not practice on Friday and will not play this weekend.

*** Friday Update *** RB Jon Goldsberry (BUF) has been signed from the team’s practice squad.

*** Friday Update *** RB DeShaun Foster (CAR) practiced on Friday and barring a setback is expected to start this weekend.

*** Thursday Update *** RB DeShaun Foster (CAR) did not practice on Thursday and remains questionable for this weekend. He's expected to start though.

*** Wednesday Update *** RB DeShaun Foster (CAR) did not practice on Wednesday but seemed surprised to be listed as questionable on the injury report for Sunday's game in Atlanta. "I'm good. I'll be ready," he said. "It's nothing at all. I just jammed my toe."

*** Friday Update *** RB Nick Goings (CAR) practiced on Friday and barring a setback is expected to play this weekend.

*** Thursday Update *** RB Nick Goings (CAR) did not practice on Thursday and has been added to the injury report as questionable with an injured ankle.

*** Friday Update *** RB Cedric Benson (CHI) practiced on Friday and is expected to play this weekend.

*** Thursday Update *** RB Cedric Benson (CHI) says his injured knee is about the same. “I feel about the same,” Benson said after Wednesday’s practice. “We kind of came to the conclusion that we were going to practice this week and see how we feel at the end of the week and make a decision on Friday or Saturday.”

*** Wednesday Update *** RB Cedric Benson (CHI) practiced on Wednesday, but he remains questionable for this weekend.

RB Cedric Benson (CHI) could be close to being ready to return to action, possibly even this week. Keep an eye on whether he's able to practice.

*** Wednesday Update *** RB Bryan Johnson (CHI) will miss the regular season finale with an injured foot.

*** Thursday Update *** RB Thomas Jones (CHI) might take an early seat once he gains 27 yards to put him at 1,300 for the season according to the Chicago Sun Times. Walter Payton is the only other Bear to do that.

*** Friday Update *** RB Rudi Johnson (CIN) practiced on Friday and is expected to play this weekend.

*** Thursday Update *** RB Rudi Johnson (CIN) practiced on Thursday and is expected to play this weekend.

*** Friday Update *** RB Nicolas Luchey (CIN) practiced on Friday and is expected to play this weekend.

*** Friday Update *** RB Chris Perry (CIN) practiced on Friday and is expected to play this weekend.

*** Thursday Update *** RB Chris Perry (CIN) practiced on Thursday and has been upgraded to questionable for this weekend. Barring a setback, he should get at least some action this weekend.

*** Wednesday Update *** RB Chris Perry (CIN) hasn’t played the last two games since spraining his ankle against the Browns Dec. 11 but said Monday he’ll be back for the playoffs. He’d love a shot at breaking RB James Brooks’ club record for most catches in a season, but he’s not sure if he can or will pay this Sunday. There is no noticeable limp, and he says he’s close.

*** Thursday Update *** RB Lee Suggs (CLE) may get a few extra looks this weekend. HC Romeo Crennel says he hopes to be able to see Suggs carry the ball on Sunday.

RB Mike Anderson (DEN) will not play this weekend as he will get a week off to rest up for the playoffs. This will open the door for Tatum Bell and Ron Dayne.

*** Thursday Update *** RB Tatum Bell (DEN) will get his first career start this weekend in place of Mike Anderson (who will rest up for the playoffs). Ron Dayne will see carries as well.

*** Friday Update *** RB Kevin Jones (DET) practiced again on Friday and is expected to start his weekend.

*** Wednesday Update *** RB Artose Pinner (DET) did not practice on Wednesday and is questionable for this weekend.

*** Wednesday Update *** RB Samkon Gado (GB) did not practice on Wednesday and is listed as OUT for the regular season finale. There was talk earlier in the week that he might be able to play, but it does not look like that will materialize.

RB Samkon Gado (GB) is a long shot to play this week but he's made dramatic improvement recovering from his knee injury. Watch to see if he can practice later this week.

*** Wednesday Update *** RB Domanick Davis (HOU) underwent knee surgery on Wednesday and has been placed on the injured reserve list. Jonathan Wells will continue to start for the team in place of Davis.

RB Domanick Davis (HOU) is still battling his knee problems and could miss time again this week in practice. Watch him closely later this week.

*** Friday Update *** RB Tony Hollings (HOU) will be the team’s backup RB this weekend behind Vernand Morency.

*** Friday Update *** RB Vernand Morency (HOU) practiced on Friday and will start for the team this weekend since Jonathan Wells has been placed on the injured reserve list.

*** Thursday Update *** RB Vernand Morency (HOU) missed Thursday’s practice due to illness.

*** Friday Update *** RB Jonathan Wells (HOU) has been placed on the injured reserve list with a thigh bruise and will not play this weekend. That leaves rookie Vernand Morency as the team’s starter for this weekend. Tony Hollings will back him up.

*** Thursday Update *** RB Jonathan Wells (HOU) missed practice again on Thursday, but he remains probable and is expected to play this weekend.

*** Wednesday Update *** RB Jonathan Wells (HOU) rested a bruised thigh on Wednesday, but he is expected to start for the team this weekend.

*** Friday Update *** RB Edgerrin James (IND) is healthy but will be a game day decision as to how much he plays, if at all. Coach Dungy sounded like they might let him rest.

*** Wednesday Update *** RB Edgerrin James (IND) will start this weekend, but he will be replaced at some point by Dominic Rhodes.

*** Friday Update *** RB Rich Alexis (JAX) practiced on Friday and is expected to play this weekend.

*** Friday Update *** RB Greg Jones (JAX) practiced again on Friday and is expected to play this weekend.

*** Thursday Update *** RB Greg Jones (JAX) practiced on Thursday but remains questionable for this weekend. HC Jack Del Rio is 100% unclear on Jones’ status. "He could have played last week," Del Rio said. "He's good to go. But we might sit him, too." Thanks coach.

*** Wednesday Update *** RB Greg Jones (JAX) practiced Wednesday and it's looking more like he'll be able to play this week. Look for the team to make a call later in the week.

RB Greg Jones (JAX) will be evaluated further this week. We told you in the Injury Wrap up that he was inactive for the Week 16 game with his neck injury. It looks like this might be something that could limit him this week as well.

*** Friday Update *** RB Derrick Wimbush (JAX) practiced on Friday and is expected to play this weekend.

*** Friday Update *** RB Ronnie Brown (MIA) has practiced all week and according to HC Nick Saban “has gotten progressively better every day”, but he will likely be a game-time decision for this weekend. Saban added, “A game-time decision involves whether we are going to make him active, but it also involves, he has prepared well for the game, how much we choose to use him in his circumstance. The worse thing, as I have said all the time, with guys that are carrying injuries, especially certain kinds of injuries for their particular position, is you put a guy in and you lose him early in the game and then you are just playing with one less guy on your team and that's something that we certainly wouldn't want to do in this case." That said Brown practiced all week, so we expect him to be active this weekend.

*** Thursday Update *** RB Ronnie Brown (MIA) practiced again on Thursday but remains officially listed as questionable for this weekend. He's expected to be back to his normal role splitting carries with Ricky Williams.

*** Wednesday Update *** RB Ronnie Brown (MIA) practiced on Wednesday but remains listed as questionable for this weekend although it's looking more like he'll be able to play.

RB Ronnie Brown (MIA) said last week he hoped to be back for the season finale but the team won't rush him. Obviously, Ricky Williams is more than capable of carrying the load as he displayed in week 16.

*** Friday Update *** RB Ricky Williams (MIA) says he doesn’t need a raise next season. He is scheduled to make $545,000 (only 5k more than the league minimum) next season, but after his productive return from retirement this year, he could ask for more money. When asked if money will be an issue in his return to the Dolphins, Williams said: "It never has been, and I don't think it ever will be."

*** Friday Update *** RB Corey Dillon (NE) partially participated in Friday’s practice but is expected to play this weekend.

*** Friday Update *** RB Heath Evans (NE) partially participated in Friday’s practice but is expected to play this weekend.

*** Friday Update *** RB Patrick Pass (NE) partially participated in Friday’s practice but is expected to play this weekend.

*** Wednesday Update *** RB Tiki Barber (NYG) may not actually have an official “backup”. HC Tom Coughlin was asked if Mike Cloud will replace Derrick Ward (on the injured reserve list) as RB Tiki Barber’s primary back up, or if rookie Brandon Jacobs will get the job. “What we would probably do there would be to use people in different ways, so it would probably be on a play-by-play basis”, Coughlin said. KR/PR Chad Morton is also in the mix. "He is our fourth running back and he is also, on Sunday, our fifth receiver,” Coughlin said.

RB Mike Cloud (NYG) has been signed by the team.

RB Derrick Ward (NYG) has been placed on the injured reserve list and will not play again this season.

*** Thursday Update *** RB Lamont Jordan (OAK) did not practice on Thursday and is not expected to play this weekend.

*** Wednesday Update *** RB Lamont Jordan (OAK) is almost certainly not going to play this weekend. HC Norv Turner said he expects backup RB Justin Fargas to get a handful of carries against the Giants with Zack Crockett receiving the bulk of the rushing load.

RB Lamont Jordan (OAK) could miss another game with his toe injury. If he does, look for Zack Crockett to carry the load again like he did last week.

*** Friday Update *** RB Reno Mahe (PHI) practiced on Friday and is expected to play this weekend.

*** Friday Update *** RB Bruce Perry (PHI) practiced on Friday and is expected to play this weekend.

*** Saturday Update *** RB Jerome Bettis (PIT) will start this weekend in what will likely be his final home game at Heinz Field.

*** Wednesday Update *** RB Jerome Bettis (PIT) may be playing the last home game of his career this weekend. "I'm a realist in a sense that I do understand there is a good chance it is my last game," he said Tuesday. Bettis will wait until after the season to reveal his plans, but many in the Pittsburgh organization expect him to retire.

*** Friday Update *** RB Dan Kreider (PIT) practiced on Friday and is expected to play this weekend.

*** Thursday Update *** RB LaDainian Tomlinson (SD) is hurting more than he and the team has let on. "Yeah," Tomlinson said on Wednesday, "of course, if it's still bothering me; it's more than a bruise. At times it's been very hard. Just for the fact not being myself, knowing what I can do when I'm healthy. That's always the most frustrating thing, not being 100 percent and not doing the things you're usually able to do." However, he will not say exactly what is injury is until after the season finale this weekend. Tomlinson added that while he hasn’t had a 100-yard game (or scored a TD) since November 27th, he doesn’t feel pressure to perform. "I don't feel like I'm losing it at all," Tomlinson said. "I don't feel a state of panic like I have to do good, but I would like to end on a good note."

RB LaDainian Tomlinson (SD) is expected to play again with the rib injuries.

*** Thursday Update *** RB Shaun Alexander (SEA) is still expected to start this weekend, but he will not play very much. As you know, he needs one TD to set the single-season mark. HC Mike Holmgren has said he would substitute his starters "pretty liberally" throughout Sunday's game. When asked if he would put Alexander back into the game if he still needed a touchdown, the coach shook his head and said, "I don't know. Let me think about that a little."

*** Wednesday Update *** RB Shaun Alexander (SEA) will leave the team Thursday to attend a family funeral in Cincinnati and will then rejoin the team in time to start Sunday's regular-season finale at Green Bay. Seattle coach Mike Holmgren confirmed Alexander will attend his aunt's funeral Friday and then fly from Ohio Saturday to meet the team in Wisconsin. Alexander tied Priest Holmes' NFL record of 27 touchdowns in a season in Saturday's win over Indianapolis.

RB Shaun Alexander (SEA) will be away from the team and with his family for much of the week following the death of his aunt. He is expected to play this weekend and needs a TD to set the single-season record for TDs. After his meltdown last year when he accused the team of stabbing him in the back when he didn't get the rushing title, look for them to cater to him and make sure he gets a TD. Even if it means reinserting him back into the game for the short score like they did last week.

*** Thursday Update *** RB Kevan Barlow (SF) is done for 2005 but may have a future in San Francisco. "He certainly looked better to me than he did a year ago," HC Mike Nolan said. "I thought in the way he handled himself, carried himself and responded to all situations, he did a good job. I anticipated more issues, and I never got any."

*** Wednesday Update *** RB Kevan Barlow (SF) has been placed on the injured reserve list and will not play again this season. Obviously, this means Frank Gore and Maurice Hicks will handle the rushing duties in the season finale.

*** Friday Update *** RB Marshall Faulk (STL) missed Friday’s practice due to illness. While he is listed as probable, his status for this weekend is actually in question.

*** Friday Update *** RB Arlen Harris (STL) could be the team’s starting RB this weekend with Steven Jackson still bothered by a hip pointer and Marshall Faulk ailing with a flu-like illness. Both Jackson and Faulk are questionable to play Sunday night.

*** Friday Update *** RB Steven Jackson (STL) did not practice on Friday and is questionable for this weekend. He looks to be in worse shape with his hip this week than he was last week. Marshall Faulk is less than 100% as well with the flu.

*** Wednesday Update *** RB Steven Jackson (STL) is still bothered by a hip pointer. “I’m not going to be 100%; I know that,” he said. “It’s one of those injuries that just takes time.” He is expected to start this weekend.

*** Friday Update *** RB Chris Brown (TEN) did not practice again on Friday and is at best a game-time decision for this weekend.

*** Thursday Update *** RB Chris Brown (TEN) did not practice again on Thursday and remains officially questionable for this weekend. He's expected to start though.

*** Wednesday Update *** RB Chris Brown (TEN) did not practice on Wednesday and is questionable for this weekend.

RB Chris Brown (TEN) will be limited again this week. This time it's the ankle he tweaked in last week's game.

*** Friday Update *** RB Travis Henry (TEN) will start for the team this weekend if Chris Brown is unable to play.

Wide Receiver

*** Friday Update *** WR LeRon McCoy (ARI) will not play this weekend.

*** Friday Update *** WR Muhsin Muhammad (CHI) practiced on Friday and is expected to play some this weekend.

*** Thursday Update *** WR Chris Henry (CIN) did not practice on Thursday due to illness but is expected to play this weekend.

*** Wednesday Update *** WR Chad Johnson (CIN) says he will play the entire game this weekend. "I'm playing every play," he said.

Nice.

WR Terry Glenn (DAL) played with a dislocated thumb as we told you in the Injury Wrap up. Look for him to continue playing with pain as the Cowboys battle for a post season spot.
