In my opinion the new Draft Dominator (Version 5.0d) represents the very best in drafting prowess. Yes I am biased. I have had a lot of input into adding these latest features. But I am biased for great reason. You can now do things with the Draft Dominator that you only dreamed about before.
Consider the following:
You have taken two starting RBs and it is round 7. Who should you add as a good backup? When should you take that player? These are all very standard questions that come in every single draft we participate in. What if I told you with one quick recalculation, the Draft Dominator could find and rank the best complimentary players to who you have already drafted. ie, the player(s) who will perform the best when the player(s) you already have rostered face their toughest weeks? Well that day has come.
I am going to walk through some screen shots so you can best see how to use this new feature.
In the 7th round I'm looking to add a backup RB. I already have Clinton Portis and Stephen Davis. Looking at the Player Pool RB tab I see 6 guys all within 6 points of each other. Which one should I take?
On the GameByGame set the Weekly Weight Adjustment to "Complimentary RB". Notice that the weight column changed for weeks 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 12, 15, and 16. These are the weakest 8 weeks for my RB pair according to the SOS. Now hit the Recalculate button.
Now look at the Player Pool RB tab. Onterrio Smith is on top, but with a sweet ADP of 10.05. Although he would be a great fit now, he would be even sweeter to get around the ninth. If for some reason you are not that high on Smith, notice that William Green is the next best selection. The point is now you have the data necessary to see how and when to draft your complimentary player. While everyone else is looking at total fantasy points, you are correctly trying to assess where this "backup" player can help you (ie getting you help for your softest weeks)

Here is another example for the QB position. I've already drafted Aaron Brooks. It is round 9, and I need a complimentary QB. Is Josh McCown the best choice?

Set the Weekly Weight Adjustment to "Complimentary QB" and press recalculate.

David Carr jumps to the top of the QB tab, and Josh McCown drops to 2nd best. And with an average draft position of 8.12, you can't afford to wait any longer to get David Carr. He likely won't be around when you pick again. This is the power of the Find Complimentary Player in action. It takes the tried and true FBG Strength of Schedule and the Draft Dominator to a whole new playing field by crunching the numbers in seconds. Rest assured, no one with a pen and paper is going to be able to do that.

For more information on Complimentary Players, be sure to read Chase Stuart's Defensive Team By Committee article. He also will be releasing his QBBC article soon in the premium area.
In the next 10 days, I will be releasing 3 articles on how to maximize your advantage with the Draft Dominator:
1. Dominating your Draft (with the Draft Dominator)
2. Dominating your Survivor Draft (with the Draft Dominator)
3. Dominating Your Auction Draft (with the Draft Dominator)
Until then, play around with the new featuesof the Draft Dominator. I think you will like the power that is just one click away.
